I took acids and then play that song... that was something I cannot explain with my words.. but I talked to someone and that someone talked to me back.. (inside of my mind) that was beautiful and helped me to understand a lot.. one of the most beautiful experiences I ever lived.
I did as well. I took 2 gel tabs first time ever having visuals. I started by listening to pnuema...Pnuema is still stuck in my head after almost a week
It's called reflection for a reason you probably were communicating with a higher version of yourself. When I was tripping this took me places and emotions that I'm not sure are even humanly possible.

I barely ever comment on anything but this song is just a mental journey of melancholy and enjoyment for me. I can’t express in words that’ll justify to the extent I want them to how much I actually love and listen in awe of this song still even now after hearing it for about 10 years; back when I first found Tool. No band will ever fill the sonic hole Tool have made for me throughout my life personally, there’s just something about them that’s just so genuine and inspiring.
I could listen to the end fade out riff of the track on a loop for hours and happily go about my day, honestly soul warming.

In these painful and scary times with the Corona virus I return to this video and this song because it gives me hope. In all the horror of this situation I have hope that humanity will gradually see the truth that we are one. That we are interdependent. That we are together, and that anything is possible if we work with that mindset.

The scary thing isnt the coronavirus..it's the censorship around anyone telling the truth about it. (Virologists, Biologists, Pathologists, Immunologists etc. )
People are dying of stress and fear depleting their immune systems and their mind believing there is more to this than the common cold/flu thanks to mainstream mwdia lies. (Before anyone says "but I know someone that died of it" ..The creator of the test said It does not work as a diagnostic tool. & the manufacturers say the same. )

We create our own perceptions so make them good so that’s what reflects and just understand there is good and evil in everything and we need both so we can have this experience here. We just need balance. Most people’s intentions are good nothing to fear. Just make the world around you good and respectful and don’t judge others because everyone is right in their own perception!

When I did psychedelics, I had a come up that was profoundly exciting, and then I hit it... I've been here before, I've tripped sober. It's like you had amnesia and then suddenly realize that you were an actor on a movie set you thought was real. Also there could be a muddy nauseous swirl of everything coming together and all boundaries between everything smearing into static. All experiences can be inspiring and terrifying alike depending on what you take from it, how you think about it.
I had an eargasm listening to this song for the first time, chills and so many emotions. In my top three of Tool songs.

this is the first real Tool song I ever heard. Hooked me! I have e seen them four times. I've got into painting , and painted a few Tool art paintings. Tool changed my perspective on music and life as a whole.

Nice. I actually bought pink Floyd's first album on CD just to hear it and Set the controls for the heart of the Sun was my favorite song on the album.
@@mattsmith3839 Pink Floyd is one of my all time favorite bands and was my first exposure to progressive rock. My dad used to play the album meddle all the time when i was 5 or 6 years old because our Dog at the time went nuts over the songs Seamus and parts of Echoes. Set the controls is such a great song but my absolute favorite version is the live at Pompii version, it just really takes me to another place and it takes the song to a whole nother level. The tribal drumming is so meditative and i find that i enter into a deep dream like state with it and sometimes can visualize light tunnels and strange landscapes in my mind during the peak. Pink Floyd had an obvious effect on TOOL's music but few people seem to recognize it. Listen to Jambi around the 1 minute mark and then listen to another brick in the wall part 1, tell me if you hear the influence.

On the album version I used to replay the ending of this song on loop although it was very brief. This live version extends that ending so magnificently my hairs are standing on end. What a f*cking trip. I'm referring to the 10:15 mark onward. Wow.
I agree 100%, I think the ending is absolutely amazing in this song. Considering on the album the next song is triad, that ending almost feelings like calm before the storm, and the perfect serenity of it is beautiful

It will line up so perfect with the duration of the trip and will completely shatter your reality in the best and most healing way.
