(Muses)
Bless my soul
Herc was on a roll
Person of the week in evry Greek opinion poll
What a pro
Herc could stop a show
Point him at a monster and you're talking SRO
He was a no one
A zero, zero
Now he's a honcho
He's a hero
Here was a kid with his act down pat
From zero to hero in no time flat
Zero to hero just like that
When he smiled
The girls went wild with
oohs and aahs
And they slapped his face
On ev'ry vase
(on ev'ry "vase")
From appearance fees and royalties
Our Herc had cash to burn
Now nouveau riche and famous
He could tell you
What's the Grecian urn?
Say amen
There he goes again
Sweet and undefeated
And an awesome 10 for 10
Folks lined up
Just to watch him flex
And this perfect package
packed a pair of pretty pecs
Hercie, he comes
He sees, he conquers
Honey, the crowds were
Going bonkers
He showed the moxie brains, and spunk
From zero to hero a major hunk
Zero to hero and who'da thunk
Who put the glad in gladiator?
Hercules!
Whose daring deeds are great theater?
Hercules
Isn't he bold?
No one braver
Isn't he sweet
Our fav'rite flavor
Hercules, Hercules,
Hercules, Hercules
Hercules, Hercules
Bless my soul
Herc was on a roll
Undefeated
Riding high
And the nicest guy
not conceited
He was a nothin'
A zero, zero
Now he's a honcho
He's a hero
He hit the heights at breakneck speed
From zero to hero
Herc is a hero
Now he's a hero
Yes indeed!
This movie was probably the most underrated Disney film of the 90s. It's totally rocking!
It’s one of my personal favorite Disney films and movies in general
i watched this again with my daughter. she looked. but she was awesome and just cried when he goes back to her in the end. im 35 years old and i will never forgett this movie. the songs and story has imprinted itself into my mind.just like the first time i watched blues brothers
Best Disney song fs
Hehe I drove my parents crazy playing this movie when I was young. Still makes me smile! :)
I used to listen this song every morning when I went to school with my bike. Yeah, love it
whoever wrote the lyrics is an actual Genius!
Never underestimate the power of Black gospel music lol!
One of the best Disney songs, so catchy, like hercules ;)
preach sisters preach!!!!!!!!!!!
BLESS MY SOUL, HERC WAS ON A ROLL! UNNNNDEFEAAATED!
Classic! no other words to describe!
In a movie about greek mythology... splendid.
Time to go rewatch Hercules
Oh my god, favorite Disney movie ever. This song...it's just too wonderful! xD
I love this movie! Its probably my favorite one! :)
It’s one of my all time favorite films ever made I don’t why people don’t give it more credit but nooooooooooo frozen needs all the worlds recognition TYPICAL
I love this movie and song!!
Best music in a Disney movie!
I heart this movie
Yes, yes it is.
I love this song!!!
@Alandalus105 It was Athena. Medusa and Poseidon were getting it on in her temple, and since a) Athena was a virgin goddess and b) she and Poseidon didn't exactly get on all that well, she got pissed.
woooooooo
Agreed!!
rocks.
@sarasexygirl she does on the original version, but Disney's version changed the ending and gave it a "happy ever after" touch, wich personally I loved more.
the world has enough sadness on it so that even our fiction works have to be equally depressive. A little happiness never hurts anyone.
i love the muses.
@Comikkaze I think that this movie was even better than lion king! :)
Lion king is so dang depression I cannot watch it
@Pilagengram yeah, he's a god.
@RailwayFalcon i looked it up you were right although i did find another story that exclude poseidon entirely, although the one who messed her up was till athena
the gospel women made this movie so much better
YESSSSSSSSSSS INDEED!
Also add this to the top comment:
I hate to reveal this but...
in Cinderella
on the scene her step sisters trying to fit their foot in the glass slipper
The real thing that happened was one cuts off her biggest toe (dunno what it's called)
The other one cuts off her heel
some of the "real" disney movies really are scary and just horror stories
In the little mermaid, ariel dies
Rubrum Cruz its The Grims Tales
Another reason I'm glad to be a 90s kid
Yass queen this is my dance solo song
0:00- 0:24
(I just started)
blaw blaw blaw ya right its hotshot
@LillianYunoki1 My best guess is Standing Room Only.
Goop gramps
@RaNdOMSmIL3s on the actual real myth of the little mermaid, Ariel never marries the man she fell in love with, instead she dies, alone and sad, never truly fitting in her world due to her lack of voice, and at the same time never fitting the human world due to missing her chance to kiss her loved one.
she ends up letting him go because he's trully happier with vanessa than her.
that ending sucks in so many ways it's not even fun.
@blowmomomomo Medusa got screwed over by Athena horridly - she was the one who equipped Perseus to go kill her, and then he gave Athena Medusa's head when he was done with it - but everyone else she messed up got it made up for in some way. She was one of the better members of the pantheon, not that that's saying much.
(Also, half the time with Medusa and Poseidon it was consensual. And Poseidon was too powerful for Athena to get back at, or she probably would have done).
the previous classic disney films always strayed away from the myths they were based on.
but for the greater good in every case.
I mean the actual myth of "the little mermaid" is quite sad, and I personally prefer the disney version a lot more.
same goes for the lion king wich is loosely based on shakespeare's "hamlet"
or in mulan (in real life the chinese lost that war)
they stray from the myth, or the history they base their films, but in a good way.
DOGS THE PUPPY POLICE CAR
@RailwayFalcon although what you said is true im pretty sure it was Aphrodite that messed medusa up not Athena
@Shakduhn I totally agree. Not to mention Beauty & the Beast, to give Belle more character, she took her father's place as the Beast's prisonor by her own will. The original story, she was offered by her father. And Disney changed the story of Aladdin- but in a good way- by making the Genie energetic but wish for freedom, so also giving Aladdin another layer to his character by showing sympathy for Genie.
And how the story of Pocahontas was romanticized.
PatF added a lot more depth, too.
@Shakduhn Funny thing, Hercules kills his wife later on in the original story in a fit of rage.
@MRresievil310 I know rite? :P this is why he has to do his famous 13 tasks to redeem himself.
YES INDEED
I really want some Herculade right now...
@Shakduhn Oh my goodness that DOES suck! I didn't even know the little mermaid was a myth.
the x2 speed is amazing.
@Shakduhn ya i get what you mean everytime i wactch this my brother goes that not the real story and i know that i personally like this version better
its honcho i listen goooood
Why is this not on broadway yet???
@Shakduhn Don't forget how the original work for the Hunchback of Notredame ended. Sucked to be Quasimodo.
You can go and look up honcho. "Head honcho" is more commonly used though. "Hunter" makes no sense whatsoever.
that is because that was when he turned into a god
Adore the film, too bad its not what actually happened in the Myth xD
lol
What does SRO mean?
Um, no. A honcho.
@Shakduhn I told my friend about the real little mermaid story and I swear she was nearly in tears because of how it ends. Can you imagine if Disney killed Ariel at the end?Or if she tried to kill Eric? I don't think people would like it so much. Personally I prefer the Disney endings to the Grimm endings
roman i believe
because it showed roman cities
No, do you even know what honcho is? He's a hunter..
The Grimm's Fairy Tales, I believe
OK????
Something must be wrong with me. Although I like Disney movies very much, I don't like Hercules :) Especially this kind of music as in the song Zero to Hero. The only song I like in Hercules is I Can Go the Distance.
@mattsdchs78
He's a hunta not a honcho ;)
4 people are still a zero ;)
I want to find it in Greek language
@EmoGirlsCanKill lucky!!
who put the glad in gladiator? a Roman. not a Greek.
nevermind greek sorry.
