Hey, Phealix here again! Wanted to put an updated comment to say wow! It is still unbelievable to me how many views this video has gotten! Once again, thank you all so much for coming by and I hope you enjoyed the base. Definitely, some things I should've done better to showcase things more fluidly, things to learn for every future video I make! If you enjoyed Subnautica from me, I completed a Hardcore playthrough you can check out where I survived in the 100 Days format! For mods, I continue waiting patiently and anxiously for the FCS Base mod to be updated 😣 Thank you all for the comments and the subscribers, hitting 500 is mind-blowing to me! I hope you stick around for all the other game content I will be making 😁 Also here's the answer to one question I see floating around a bit 🤣: How much Titanium did it take? Well, let's just say there is a crazy amount of scrap metal around/behind the Aurora....the ocean is probably cleaner than before I crash landed lol
Cool! I haven't played Subnautica in such a long time. I might want to play it again... I like your idea for a dock for the Cyclops submarine! I might load my last save and build that... Anyway, how did you get a large room in the main game? What mods did you use to do that?
Dude, this base is great. Absolutely love the attention to detail and creativity. Of course a research base needs a library... and the library looks like a library. Where do the lithium reinforced walls go? Around the reactor of course, for shielding. All the picture frames featuring "daytime TV" made me laugh. I appreciate the thoughtfulness of this build and the attention to detail. Keep up the good work!
Glad you enjoyed it! I absolutely love making fine details! Also, who says just because we are in an underwater base in the middle of nowhere we can't have our daytime Tv xD
@@PhealixOG i recomdend you that you have pics of divs, like if you are in your sub, like taking pothos in mission room, thats what i do so here is my advice (soory for bad english)
@PhealixOG absolutely amazing base!! How did you get the pictures of game shows and other stuff in those frames? I put over 800 hrs into the game before BZ came out and never knew that was possible as well as all the other stuff that you have that wasn't available. Great job
If anyone played Subnautica, it sounds like a monologue of a guy who has been stuck under the sea and on a sea planet by himself for years and as you he is explaining, you begin to ask, "who else is down here other than you?" 🤣 This base is impressive; especially doing this outside of Creative Mode. That is patience. 👍
Hey Everyone! Just wanted to seriously say thank you for all the kindness! It is still absolutely insane to me this video and all the support so once again thanks! On another note, I probably won't be jumping into any more Subnautica anytime soon (unless a certain big base mod gets an update 🤣) but I hope you stick around for my other content as I will be doing a Minecraft SMP series! This UA-cam journey is just beginning! Appreciate every single comment and viewer! - Phealix
After so much playing not making a base due to the resource collection and storage problems, I finally decided to make one. This is huge inspiration and a joy to watch.
Why do I legit love this guy's mannerisms? He seens like gentle and creative. I love the way he gets so excited over stuff that other people may never even pay attention to. The favorite line was, "And then this leads to MYYYY ROOM!" He was so excited it was kinda adorable. Reminds me of a 5 year old showing off his Lego collection.
I love the idea of this and this is one of the things that makes me want multiplayer even more. My favorite part is the way that this base of yours feels lived in and actually thought through well. Keep up the amazing work.
@@PhealixOG Bro you are the most inspiring, optimistic and wholesome person I know on the internet, This video (and your base) is sick. How did you get all this inspiration?
@@PhealixOG bro,you just made one of the most insane bases ever in subnautica history, although this video and channel is very underrated and should get more attention.
I love how you let the creativity run wild and used all vanilla assets. My favorite part of this game is basically just imagining an underwater city. And like any workspace IRL, there's always gonna be someone using company computers for hentai. Love it.
I have been playing this game for over half a decade and I can safely say that this is the coolest and most impressive base I have ever seen. You may have convinced me to start playing again!
I love the amount of detail you put into this build. It's so creative and big, and it has the perfect amount of rooms and other stuff. You just earned a subscriber. I hope you can get to the millions with your subs!
Imagine how the game would be diversified if there were NPC people in it. After the shipwreck, you could search for survivors, find them in abandoned shuttles, old land bases or on water rafts. They could do different jobs at your base: grow and cook food, do scientific research, build and repair rooms, accompany the main character on his travels. Also, if you got into trouble far from your base, then you could call the rescue team by sending them your coordinates and some of your NPCs living on the base would come to your aid after a while. There would also be a defense system for your base where the NPCs would fight off Leviathans with the help of built-in turrets. Also, NPCs could be taken to a submarine ship where they would also be engaged in their duties as at the base. It would be even more atmospheric if they did not work all the time but periodically rested: read books, slept, ate in canteens, talked to each other, watched TV, etc. This game would become more lively, where you could survive the whole game either alone or together with other NPCs
Love the base it looks great you have more creativity than me when it comes to base building I usually only do small bases with what I need but I had one where I was using the containment tanks as ways to get up and down my base and them filled with each egg capable species. Also a tip for the water purifiers if you don't need the salt you can just leave it in the machine and it will then only produce water instead of water and salt since the salt slots are already full
I loved the design and details inside the base like the reception and everything, I especially loved how the base almost looks like a tube system from the outside. Keep up the work👍
1:24, Love that you put in Mid Hatches. If this was a Group habitat most people leave these out, even though they are Necessary incase of FLOODING. that way you only loose PART of your Site, and not all of it due to one tiny leak.
Incredible base! Something I learned in my last play through that you might find interesting, you can decorate with technology fragments and the item crates you find around the aurora! I was even able to bring a tigger plant In! It’s difficult but really cool. The way to do it is use the gravity gun to pick something up, carry it through the moon pool and place it where you want. The difficult part is you only get ONE SHOT to get it how you want. The gravity gun doesn’t work in the base but as long as you go into the base holding something it will continue to hold it until you drop it. You also gotta be real carful with big stuff because it can easily get stuck in small pathways and ESPECIALLY bulk heads. If it’s a fragment than you can just scan it to delete it but if you try to bring stuff like rocks or data boxes in you could have to destroy that part of the base and rebuild. Also, be VERY mindful of the battery in the gravity gun. It eats through power fast! So be sure to have your route planned out perfectly. It’s a pain to do but the end results are SO worth it! I made a workshop with broken tools on the desks and even a cyclops engine fragment as the main center piece. I also decorated my moon pool with prawn suit arm fragments. Would love to see what you could come up with though! The creativity you show is amazing!
My man made all of this in survival, all the creativity and still sits on surface, LOVE THIS SO MUCH. So creative, detailed and the way you explain everything is just so pleasant. Love to find this video, thanks so muvh UA-cam and you for uploading this.
The lack of background noise and they say your mic sounds, it definitely makes it seem like your character went insane and is trying to pretend he isn’t by faking a walk through
Really liked your base. But your tour of the base made my day. I have the worst time base building. Seeing your layout and walkthrough was amazing. Thank you.
Tip: You can fill a multipurpose room with as many plant pots and growbeds as possible, then put wall planters on all the walls. Then put a good veriaty of plants in it, you can ca it either a "greenhouse" or an "oxygen garden"
This amazingly well done. Very simple theme for the game but still a creative set up. I'd love to see what you could with return of the ancients and some of the architect structures that mod gives you.
