I agree with you the first nursery has nice selections of cacti and succulents. I have the same succulent mine is Haworthia Venosa. Thank you for showing nurseries in Riverside. 💚
Your pumping out the videos atm that's really good, I saw some more madagascan ferns next to the african spear, there the ones that have big spikes with leaves at the top I think they are pretty I have a of shoot of that one that has low or no spikes and get really nice pink flowers. those bonsai looked fairly good depending on age and sharp really determines the price and sometimes the cost can be elevated for the name and how hard they are to get or find. You have a good eye for the one you liked I thought that looked good too. That huge ponytail palm is bonsai, oh my it looks fantastic and really big never seen one so big before. You are getting so close to 5000 subscribers, well done your hard work is really paying off. good job on this plant tour it was great keep up the good work, look forward to the next video.
Love this. You know what I think would also be an interesting video and that no one talks about? Growing houseplants from seed, how to do it properly and why it’s so unpopular.
omgg I have been thinking this too!! Growing plants from seeds sounds so cool!! I haven't tried it yet, but I really want to. When I do, I will for sure film the process :)
Erika Lodes That would be great! I came to learn that a good amount of houseplants just aren’t grown from seed in general but monstera (fresh, green seeds are crucial) and sansiveria can be.
For the orchid, you should repot it immediately! Cut off all the rotted stuff and any roots that are soft and squishy. Clean your tools with alcohol before and after. Put out into a mix of sphagnum and a bark in a pot with drainage holes. Don't water it for several days to let any wounds heal over. Good luck and don't be surprised if it doesn't make it. They go down hill quick. Also, if you see further rotting, don't be afraid to take it back out and cut off any further die back.
I have it in a pot rn with only orchid bark, but I haven't watered yet. When I check the roots again I'm going to add sphagnum to the mix :) Really hoping this baby lives 😭
It's a Haworthia Venosa. If you sun stress it it will turn red. They look really cool when back-lit by the sun 🌞🌿 Haworthias are my favorite, I have like more than 20 varieties. Haha Love them!! 💚🌱🌿💚
Erika I killed a couple Peperomia, lesson learned. I now ignore them and they are thriving. They don't like a lot of water and can take a bit of light.
Sometimes I completely forget about my peperomia bc I ignore them for so long & they die that way 🤦🏼♀️Gotta set like a monthly reminder or something lol
Thanks Erika. I liked the Elton John in the b/g. I was watching those Brasils, and though I have two, I still think I might have bought one. On Saturday, I was resisting a gorgeous peperomia scandens (really big and cheap) because I already have one at home. I am now kicking myself for not picking it up. I want it! Vid idea: What plant ''multiples" do you have? Do you put them together or in different parts of the house? Do you combine them into one pot? Sell them? Give them away? Have you made any personal plant buying rules?(i.e. Don't buy rescue plants/don't buy multiples/don't buy tropicals in winter/don't buy until you have given one away/Don't buy one with pests even if very cheap/don't buy a wish list plant in poor condition). I make hilarious justifications for getting more plants. If one plant dies, I feel I can buy five more. Perhaps you can make sense of my comments and make a video on it sometime. I would be interested in watching. .
Thank you so much for those great video ideas!! I will have to get to filming them hehe Regretting buying a plant is the worst, hopefully you find another one. Or go back to pick that one up lol
Have a Happy New Year's! Year of the 🐀. Haha. These prices and the set up of this place turned me off. However, I always appreciate your videos. #ErikaLodes
Thank you! I'm so upset that I got one with the wrong label, but it's called a Haworthia venosa. I'll have to make my own label now lol. Thank goodness I got the real label on video
@@ErikaLodes i need to remember this name. only few smaller succulents gonna be fine with amount of natural light i have through the year here. mainly haworthias and gasterias.
Your face is clearer i was going to tell you not 2 touch your pimples at all. Hormones goes through surges it is normal. If worse then tetracycline can b used as instructed by doctors.
