Hi Erika, glad to see you’re a bit more cheerful. Yes your plants will recover especially with the care you give them. Hang in there I can’t wait to see you on the next vid.
It's so great that you are doing plant related things - it's really good for our soul, right? I love seeing you get your cheer back. I think the winter is hard for us, even in our mild weather relative to the rest of the country/world, not just our plants. Happy Holidays!
Hi Erica, you will get though this difficult time. I'm glad to see you again🙂I watched your last video but I may have missed why you have to keep your plants outside? Btw..I loved the hummingbird!
Hi Erica, so lovely to see you smiling again. Your Monstera root bound was so funny to see with the three tri pod root sculpture. It'll do well in the large pot. Looking forward to your next video. We're with you 💯
Everything will be alright, today you little bit look happy. Now you living in space so nice and natural ✨️. Your plants will be happy. Hope to see your moor videos. Take care and God bless you ❤️ ♥️ 💖
Glad to see you happier than the last video! You can tell there's still some Aloha left in the world and your viewers show it. Love your videos and the great journey that you have taken us on. My monstera also needs a repot or at least a propagation since I want to keep most of it in it's happy spot. 😊 🪴
Picking plant soil is challenging; pricing, quality & quantity. Some companies using different measurements I guess to confuse us. My monstera cuttings are doing fine, prefer the one with the split leaf. My a trash bin find monstera seems to be recovering nicely and is sprouting new leaves now. That's nice backyard area you have to experiment with, finding the right areas for your plant collection. My 'garden' is mostly indoors, the owner here goes bonkers when/if she spots the plants I've put outdoors. Owner doesn't come around as often these days so its easier to have plants in areas she won't see.
Hard to hear you on this. Would recommend a wireless lavalier mic that plugs on your phone :) something like the boya s3 microphone. That would eliminate the loud background noises too. I really enjoy your vids!
Every journey begins with that first step! Although it’s winter, my aloes have started to flower and my indoor tropicals are showing slow growth. I’ve been prepping for the spring repot and thrifting possible new unique planters. Keep your spirits up and maybe take a few cuttings. I have 5 screaming to be potted. lol 😂
Oh heck ya! I hope you’ve been finding those planters for good prices since thrift stores are getting crazy Glad to hear about all the new growth you got going on, winter can’t stop your plant babies!!
...Omg I love it, "What's pea gravel? Oh it's decorative." 😅 Love it. And "I got this soil on the way out for $11...the bag is one and a half cubic feet; I don't know what that means..." you're so SoCal, it reminds me of stuff I would say or my friends or siblings! Lol ☀️🌊✌🏼Good finds at the store!
Now I'm inspired thanks to your channel... I need to do some sort of garden work. And it's frickin 10 pm. Too depressed all day. I get sad with shorter winter days. Have to move my plants to a warmer location tho... but I only want to do stuff after dark, with the lights under the patio. Buuuuut it's freezing in California right now. 55°. At night. Hahaha. Soooo cold; legit shivering, I am sleeping in sweaters, gloves & face mask (to warm my face!), plus hats! How am I ever supposed to garden again!!! JK. And not be depressed anymore... It's just the longer stuff gets put off, because I'm sad & have no strength, then the more the plants will start depressing me too. Like they're crying out to be potted or moved or whatever. I have an Oncidium orchid that's been outside for like six months! It's surprisingly alive - but not in anything. No pot. I just have it out on a table and it's alive. It's living on its own rootball & little pieces of bark it already has stuck on. And that's just one thing! It seems my cure for plant depression/life is getting more plants. I swear it's a problem. But could be worse. Sigh.
I’m so excited to see you uploaded 🥰 Your monsters is going to get so much bigger! I’m doing a little experiment with mine One is cutting is in water and the other is in soil I want grow them in my room as long as possible, they are growing on my south facing bedroom window. I’m looking forward to see how yours does with its new potting setting 🫶🏼
So far the node bit I started in water already has a whole fenestrated baby leaf with a pinky length root. The one started on soil was not doing great- that week when there was a cold front going through the whole country rubbed that soil nub the wrong way but I switched it to water and it looks like a leaf is growing already! 🫶🏼🫶🏼 I’m looking forward to your plant videos! How’s your monstera?
Omg this place is awesome! What store is this?? I hope there is one near me in Tampa! $6 for a big bag of pumice! Please tell me what this wonderland is!!
You could find a basket for the nursery pot when you get settled. Glad to see you Erika. Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming (from finding Nemo) that is what I keep telling myself on hard days.
My house was renovated for about 8 months, so all plants had to be moved. And I lost about half of my collections. I felt totally unmotivated for weeks after that, and was thinking that I need to get myself a new hobby. But this past 2 weeks I've been repotting all that can be saved, step by step, little by little, slowly. 🙏😊
Oh nooo I’m so sorry about your plants. I am kind of going through the same feelings as you so at least we are in it together. I’m glad you are getting back into it. Every little step gets more motivating
Aw Ani, I feel your pain. Just maybe this may be an opportunity to pick up the pieces and move forward. Us "plant people" have it a bit hard this time of year (December, 2022), i.e. winter, when all our "babies" are in hibernation. Spring will be here before you know it an our collections will begin to wake up. It's so much fun when you can move them outside when you want and watch them come alive by sprouting new growth. It's addictive! If you can afford it, wait at least 3 months (until winter is over) to start anew, then get aggressive and replace the ones you lost, within your budget, of course. Before I really got into plants, my sister gave me a "prayer plant" for college graduation. This was a long time ago, before the Internet was really a "thing". I knew nothing at all about plants and put it out on my patio in direct sun for several HOURS from mid morning to mid afternoon. The sudden dose of full sun exposure almost killed it! Since it had sentimental value, I spent the next few weeks rehabing it, all the while learning about plants and their needs. I made a nuisance of myself around nurseries, asking questions and whatnot. Eventually, it survived and I learned a lot in the whole process. This is getting long, so I better close. Good luck with your new plants when you get them! 🪴

As soon as you walked in and showed the rubber tree I thought “remember that one time Erika got a huge one for $20?!” And then boom you said it too

🪴CAN’T WAIT FOR THE UPDATE
Glad to see ur nice smile
Cool video about daily plant buying struggles are real.
I stay away from Miracle Gro soil. Every time I've had any, it has always been contaminated with mushrooms.
Yeah I think the only miracle gro I would use is the succulent one, but only in a dire situation

You could find a basket for the nursery pot when you get settled. Glad to see you Erika. Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming (from finding Nemo) that is what I keep telling myself on hard days.
Now that you mention it I think I have one somewhere! That’s a great idea I’m gonna find it and use it
I will sing that to myself now too 💚

Love the name too! I would actually love to learn how to grow my own 420 🪴 plant te'hehe. That would be a good video...omg! 😆
