Very inspired by the Talyllyn Railway... particularly their two eldest engines, Talyllyn and Dolgoch who are at 150 each and still in working use. Here's a Thomas-ified commemoration of that!
This was made as soon as I heard Michael Melton's orchestrated Skarloey themes, just testing a few shots after I'd filmed Stationary, the next episode. Can anyone spot the little preview of this? :3

It's been 6 years, and I'm still trying to watch this video without tearing up at that beautiful version of the Skarloey Railway theme.
Can't believe it took me 4 years to realise Sir Handel still static on the piece of track
He's still there in that car park, he'll never move again

The music is absolutely lovely and has a strong Welsh touch to it aswell and the fact the Skarloey and Rheneas are my 2 favourite narrow gauge engines makes me love it aswell.Brilliant work Max!❤️

Wonderful and amazing camera shots as always and i especially like the beginning when Skarloey comes out of the tunnel as his crosspatch build and then the wonderful piece of music started and i also love when Skarloey is passing the goods shed before Cros-Ny-Curin then it goes from when he and Rheneas first arrived to the present.

I've thought the very same about the peaceful nature of the Skarloey Railway in general. xD Could literally have "Concerning Hobbits" playing over this too! :P
Im nearly crying.... This is just so well done! I love the way you used the beginning/slow part of the song as a flashback to when skarloey and rhenas didnt have cabs then you used a nice editing trick to quickly flash them into the present while the faster pace part of the song began to play. The shots were amazing and i can say this was an absolute masterpiece. This was the perfect way to celebrate the skarloey railways 150th aniverarry. And dare i talk about how splendidly done the ending shot was? If i had to describe it in 1 word that word would be perfect. I think it would be an absolute INSULT to comment only Good job or Nice work! As many others would due to them being lazy and not writing out what they think about this. But nonetheless This was absolutley PERFECT every scene every shot every detail. I could not find a single flaw in this video. And with the music playing.... Just wow... it made this video 10x better. I am simply blown away by your beautiful creation you have blessed upon this website. And if skarloey and rheneas saw this...well lets just say they would probably be in tears as well. You've created a masterpiece here....and i think you should be proud of this... :)

Fantastic work here, I especially some of the TV and CGI era inspired shots of the two elder engines. Though I must say, Rusty would not approve of the weeds at 2:15.

Its Si3D's 2006 Skarloey Railway route (TVS) but I heavily modified it.
