Oh man of all the awesome stuff you showed id LOVE to fondle that little Engelhard 10ozt gold chunky bar (6:42) haha thats a bucket list item for me not practical but not impossible to get maybe in the future :) Such a cool piece but one of MANY in the video...
lol the VERY FIRST table you showed with all that gold got me excited! Thanks for the video its very fun to see the shows we cant all go see in person :)
There's nothing crazy about your half dollar journey. I did the same thing with Morgan dollars years ago. It's a real blast to get more coins you love!
Excellent, thank you for taking me along with you to the FUN show, you have a good eye for picking nice but Reasonable priced commemorative half’s. All the best!
lol....sooo I was curious when you hit the "expensive" section so at 29:16 the gold coin to the right looked nice I knew it was a $3 pierce but had ZERO idea of its value (1855-S $3 gold) PSCG states it worth 1.75 MILLION hahaah thats without the CAC pedigree, does that green bean even matter at that price range ?!?!?! crazy...
@@Spegtacular 😊 As cool as it is to own that type of coin Id have anxiety about having to sell it one day and losing so much at auction...Maybe its better Im not rich lol
What an awesome show keep up the good work I sure do enjoy your videos and I'm glad that you're at that big fun show I sure do enjoy that video. I am a subscriber to your channel for many years now.
There are 2 or three booths with crazy nice Morgan’s. They have good lighting to show off the ms 66 and 67 and a few 68s! Just beautiful…. It’s a great show this go around… I’ll be there every day spending cash!
Awesome Speg! Been many, many, MANY years since I've been to a coin show...and that was in the DC area. Sure wish there were at least one near me but it's a ways to any now. Thanks for the walk thru..... greatly appreciated! Take care, be safe and God bless!
Life gets in the way... health situations, work, having to retire on disability...yeah, life in general. Just happy you post videos like this one so I can still "go to a big show", so thanks for posting!!!!
Looks awesome! No politics, no drama, just coins. I'll, sniff, make it there some day. The Cuban gold next to your Peruvian, when you met everyone, looked amazing too.
I picked up a California commemorative at the show today…. Along with many other coins, my favorite pickup was a tube 20 of 1923 peace dollars in good mint state bu. A few 64s in there I think… I paid 680, that’s a steal. Fun show rocks…
I enjoyed this video, Speg. I have a soft spot for commems. I've had a very nice raw uncirculated 1893 Columbian since I was 12yo and both the Antietam and Gettysburg in MS 65. I picked up the latter two from Ben at Old Pueblo Coin.
You are marketing the coins shows the way they need to be show cased. I call it the walk through experience. It has a behind the scene flavor. You get the coin collector juices bubbling. If they only knew how powerful the imagery was they might pay you to document the proceedings.
Speg, I went to the FUN show yesterday, and it was overwhelming - and that was just the drive on I-4 to get there! For people that haven't been to this show, just imagine any coin or paper currency you could think of and there was a dealer there who had one or even a dozen examples of it. It was mind blowing to see coins worth over a million dollars and the sheer volume of premium coins in one place. I also liked that all the coin grading services were there, the U.S. Mint, as well as activities for kids. I picked up some GSA morgans, other silver, and some pre - 1933 gold. Thanks for the great video of this show, and I can't wait till next year!
I walk into these FUN shows wondering how much value in coins is in that room as well as coins up for auction. I estimate $500 million to a $1 billion worth of coins. It's an amazing show.
I'm going to my first F.U.N. show this week, I'm so excited. I've only ever been to coinorama in Lakeland. I'm going to be overwhelmed, but I think it will a good learning experience since I've been collecting but have no idea what I have or what to have graded. Thanks for making this video, I love all your stuff!
Never been to a coin show - thank you for taking me. Wow - the huge stacks of pre-33 gold and the rare silver coins - the stacker and collector in me loved to see all of them! I didn't know that you were working on a half dollar commem collection. I have some of those too - I LOVE half dollar coins. I am going to look for your videos of your half dollar collection. If you don't have one yet I hope you make one. I don't have many foreign gold coins but I too love the Peru gold for some reason. I got a Peru 1 Libra MS63 to put in my 1/4oz Dansco collection and could not break it out of the graded holder - love that Peru gold coin.
Thanks for sharing your experience, I live just down the road from there and am going tomorrow! I am personally looking for some capped bust silver for the collection!
Hey Speg. I was at the FUN show Thursday too. Wish I’d have heard your voice. I would’ve stopped to say hi. Thanks for the video. It was a good review of a huge show. I’m working on a classic commemorative type set too. Was able to pick up a nice Antietam and Ft Vancouver.
Wayyyyyy too long and I loved every minute of it!!! To me the best part (besides seeing Coin Guy) is just you scanning all the vendor's tables. I get to see and drool over some great merchandise.
Very nice Speg. Next year I will definitely be there. At least the powers that be, allowed you to record while walking threw the show. I was looking forward to you sharing your finds on your channel.. thank you for sharing
@@Spegtacular Fantastic. Was watching everyone's videos that went to the F.U.N. Show. Got bit by the coin bug and went to Vermillion and purchased a few ASEs. My Zelle had its prom night. 1st time LOL Again you have some nice finds.
Thanks for showing us the Fun Show it's the next best thing than actually being there. And wow so many coins I could spend days just admiring all the great coins.
Awesome.. Been a minute since I've watched your channel.. Looks like it's grown quite a bit. I hope to make it to this show one day.. Going to the local annual one right by my house this sunday.. Working on only like $100-150 budget this time around.. So hope to get a cool piece or two.
Thanks for the preview ...I'm going tomorrow Friday, Long drive for me from Kingsland GA. I'm into Morgans and only need 4 to finish my set 1893 O & S , 1894 P, and 1895 S, But I have a few to up-grade (10) the rest of my collection is all MS 63 and up. It's a long road also. Might mention all mine are PCGS.
Missed you today. Yeah we had to ask for the bags and swag too. We have to go back tomorrow we were there until 6:20 and didn’t get through everything!
As a dealer in collectibles - I can say this - Small shows are fun and good publicity to get your name out there...and you will make a little bit of money more than likely...BUT the bigger shows are where I do MUCH bigger sales and larger volume...BUT once again - costs are higher AT those shows.....
some time ago I had got a 1918 lincoln centennial and stone wall centennial. glad i got them. Though I got them ungraded, but they very nice. Now on the look out for a Pilgrim.
You would not believe the gold specimens you can see at gem/mineral shows 😁 especially at the Denver and Tucson shows, cases upon cases of gold nuggets, crystallized and vein gold! Great show video as well!

As a collector and a stacker with a good stack, the fun show makes you feel small. A tiny fish in the ocean of coins… its a big industry!
It’s huge!

When and where is the next coin show.close to Ohio s w

You guys are blest with awesome coin shows , coin shows in Perth are a once a year event and tiny but always interesting .
Dude you live in the Perth. Every day could be a coin show down there.
It's not like there's a world famous mint down there! 😉
You should have moved when they took your guns
You have revolted when they went full authoritarian during COVID
You won’t survive the 3rd one
