Another total eye candy show. After part 1, I called Coin Guy and bought one of those shipwreck coins from the SS Republic. Spoke with Guy who handed me over to Nathan who then processed the order. I'm on the west coast. I got that order in just a couple of days. They are so friendly and so efficient. Prices are very good. I like to support Coin Guy who is a great American patriot.
Similar story as Gabriel below. I'm also on the West Coast. Saw this video, and the New Orleans GSA Morgancaught my eye. Called yesterday, they shipped same day. Very courteous, very efficient, good prices. All positives.
I have a NGC slabbed 1858 O Seated Liberty half dollar from the SS Republic shipwreck. That's the one I chose for my type set. There's something special about a shipwreck coin, it raises eyebrows even when I show it to a non collector friend.
HI Speg! I had a Chance at a 1897 5 Mark for $95 bucks about 4 years ago... didn't have to cash along. Went back next day... Gone! I knew it was Special. That Eagle is Smokin. Oh Well Can't get them all. Cheers JJ
Full of admiration for Guy's and Nathan's work ethic. The $10 gold back I bought from Coin Guy has been framed and mounted. Virtually no one around here has ever seen one, so they ask me about it.
The 1860 seated dollar is a beauty fantastic colour and tone just how i like my coins . If i was there then id buy that one definitely to get graded at ngc . 👍🇬🇧❤
I'm 65 and worked for the same food broker for 29 years . We noticed shrinkflation in the 90s . The half gallon ice cream were 8z less and it has snowballed
The bad part for the consumer now is with the QR codes descriptions will mean zero . The manufacturer can change one molecule that changes the flavor or texture or how we used to perceive the product and we will never know what they did
Excellent video. I bought a few Morgan’s in Rattlers from Coin Guy! Ordered Friday had them Monday. Florida to Texas. Excellent experience and the best part was talking to Guy. I WISH I had a place like that close to me. I’d go in a few times a week to see all the new stuff, visit and talk coins. The knowledge to be gained is immeasurable.
Coin guy makes a great point, the various drinks for instance on offer are manufactured possibly for cents per bottle, the rest is marketing etc that the consumer has to pay for, the premiums on precious metals pale into insignificance to these items, buy metals not cola etc.
Great video. Thank you for going over all the coins slowly so I and the others could get a good look at the coins and the pricing. I put in an order after viewing the video. I hope it's still there when they get my email.
Yeah, he lost his leg on the battlefield. I forget it slips my mind right now I'm so mad I can't think of the name of the battle but yes, that's where he lost his leg on that battlefield
Hahaha .... the story about the two old guys bidding up that coin for $85,000 is a perfect example of a coin/object is worth what someone is willing to pay for it 🤔
Finally a channel on YT with a shop in my state. You’re all about 3.5 hrs away, but maybe one day, I’ll make it there. Thanks for the info. New stacker on the rise lol & needs all the help she can get!
You know, dealers always complain about how the old timers die away and no one is entering the hobby, yet coin prices are higher than they have ever been and many of them disappear from the store long before the video comes out. Speaking of quality control, I have a coin turned almost 180 degrees in a PCGS slab and it's not a rattler. And I know it came out of PCGS like that, because that's exactly what the picture in their database shows. To wife: The day you can re-sell a purse that you've owned for 10-15 years for a profit, you can have all the purses you want.
I made it to Walmart and of course, I spent a small fortune. I guess Coin Guy will have to wait until Thursday. Need to p/u some Indian Heads. Great video Speg.
Thank you Jim! I’ll keep doing the videos as long as The Coin Guy sees that they’re doing something beneficial! I appreciate you and bonus! Gonna put it to good use 🤓
Would it be smart to take my proof Franklin's out of the proof set and get them graded? It seems they always command a huge premium when graded rather than in the proof set flat packs
Benedict Arnold's leg was severely damaged at the Battle of Quebec by a gunshot wound,it was crudely set,but not amputated. He walked with a limp the rest of his life
Do your self a favor and Put your packet of snow balls in the freezer for at least 12 hours .Then have one cold .Fantastic texture. You probably do it..
I just have to know, does the coin guy puts everything in the counters in a safe at closing time. If so, that is a long time. Not to mention the next day.😆
Sorry Guy, you don't have enough gold in your shop to buy Bob Menendez! When he finally goes to jail and the feds auction off all the "booty" I want to buy PCGS and NGC graded "Bob Menendez Hoard.

Guy is right about the snowballs and I love them, too. I remember stocking shelves with mayo at .49 cents back in 1968.And I love this collection.
I called Guy and snagged half of the Standing lib bag. Very rare to see a hoard in that good condition!
Coin Guy having a rant about the price of snowballs 😂😂😅
Love that!
Guy thank you for sharing this beautiful collection with us..
I love hearing the stories this guy has to tell.
Coin Guy...a true American Legend! God bless you, Coin Guy and God Bless Spegtacular and his family. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
A whole bunch of coins I've never heard of. But I do like a good rattler. 🪇

Full of admiration for Guy's and Nathan's work ethic. The $10 gold back I bought from Coin Guy has been framed and mounted. Virtually no one around here has ever seen one, so they ask me about it.
@ 31:28 Around your neck in a tiny leather bag you could pull closed tight made from Native Americans. The 1800s original gold chain. Lol

one would think that pay pal and ebay would give a very good headsup to what digital currencies will do

The " small " gold coins were probably carried in a leather coin purse , back then it was common for even men to carry " coin purses "
That tiny gold dollar coin is like the widow's mite.

Great cons , I called the Coin Guy and he's supposed to call me back with prices on a few coins we talked about . Sure hope he calls....
He gets busy. Give him some time and if he doesn’t call back, make a move!

High premiums on silver have always made it hard for me to justify.
Is coin guy around this week?
