Genuinely impressed by the price. As someone who shilled out to get a Cintiq, that is crazy competitive. Anyone who want's a drawing tablet should really consider this as an option. Nice presentation as always Ajay!

Maybe better find some second hand Cintiq. There are plenty of them, taking into account many people with a surplus money bought them only to find that no miracle is coming when talking about their artistic abilities.
I bought mine in practically unused condition for 300 €.
But, from all of these wacom alternatives, XP-Pen is *maybe* *future* alternative. Others are only toys.
@@tulenik71 I considered it, then found a 10 year old Cintiq 21UX on ebay that was still twice as expensive as this XP Pen 15.6. Perhaps I could have haggled on ebay, but I thought I had better go for a brand new alternative that is getting generally positive reviews, is neither too big nor too small, and is fairly inexpensive. It's on the way and I'm eager to test it. So far I've only used Intuos, and have never even tried out a display-enabled drawing tablet.
Some thing tells me you are totally mark 😁 just a hunch. Also getting this tablet for Christmas 😁😁😁

I love this video, very informative, I think you should do videos reviewing art related stuff a lot more often, I would love to see some that you would recommend for younger viewers who won’t be able to afford ones that are quite as high quality
thanks for uploading this man. looks like a good option for someone on a budget. and i definitely learned a bit from the video with the parallax effect. im also am a heavy handed drawer so thanks for reminding me i can always adjust the pressure sensitivity for my crappy wacom touch and pen.. been trying to adjust to the way the tablet came in default. but its time i change it so i can draw better

Great review. I've been looking around for a screen tablet for some time now. Cintiq is of course the first product that came to my mind but I am not even close to afford it without starving a week after. This looks like a very solid, mid-class affordable alternative - great for students.
Huion also has some pretty solid ones
The review stuff is just fine, and very helpful, but after seeing this what I really I want more of is original art from you. I’d love to see videos where you study the art and animation techniques you’re clearly so well versed in, and put it into practice in front of us.

I couldn't get it to display my high end MAC PRO. Kept getting no signal on tablet even though everything was connected properly on all ports (HDMI, Thunder, etc) . It worked on my brothers low end PC though, strange. I did manage to get a staticy image once on the MAC but, otherwise I was not able to get this tablet to work. Sadly I'm going to have to send it back.
Mine was at the 5000k preset out of the box, and it was extremely red. A little too red tbh. Maybe I should invest in a calibration tool.

Hi! I bought this product and it doesn't work very well in blue color. Is it better to do hardware calibration? ultramarine color is not implemented.

I'm thinking of moving past paper at this point and towards digital drawing. I've gotten used to Photoshop as well now. Seems like now or soon is the time to move it up a notch.
I just purchased the 13 inch version of this 2 weeks ago, and so far I quite enjoy it, but did have the same issues with the colors that you mentioned. Great review though!

Kenny Kim it is still holding up nicely. I have found the pen seems to be more accurate to the point on the screen if they are closer to a 90 degree angle. Overall, I still really enjoy it.
I literally got this today and one problem is... I can't get it to WORK? It says " can't detect a tablet " when I download the thing from the website AND the CD. I need help bad?

So you have to set the tablet up to a computer for it to work at all? Because I don't have access to a "good" computer every day and I really love a lot of things about this "tablet" but I need one that doesn't have to hook up to anything so if it only does hook up to a computer to work is there one like it that is just the tablet no wires??
Here I am reading comments of people being pissed about Goku losing to Jiren and am like, WHAT?! I would actually be pissed if Goku beat Jiren, it would take away so much from the build up they gave him... That would be the real asspull, Goku easily overcoming strenght gap that big. I am actually really pleased that they went this less predictable route.

I want a cintiq but art school has some but I want my own. This sounds like a good option. Does it work with thunderbolt 3 aka type c to type c? I just want to see if it can take up less ports on my laptop cause im constantly on the go.

I myself use a Cintiq, it's really comfortable. The only real issue I've had with it is that calibrating doesn't work on Windows XP. Why am I using Windows XP? Because ever since my PC broke, I've been struggling to afford new hardware xp.
But anyways, great video, I reallly appreciate it. I've been wanting to find something for my friend, but she's too poor to afford a Cintiq. I may show her this, this it's closer to her price range.
My main issue with these Cintiq clones are the pens inevitably run into really irritating issues with sensitivity where it's really hard to judge the pressure curve to get a certain line. I own a Ugee 2150 (thanks CEX for some chap trading in rather than re-selling!) and it's alright but always feels a bit like a compromise over something which will last 5 years plus like a Cintiq. :/
Can you work with this unit unplugged ? As opposed to sitting ata desk (plugged into a laptop or computer)
Nope, it's very much an add-on for your machine.
Thank you for this, I will definitely consider purchasing this. A problem I have with tablets is looking at my computer screen while my hands were elsewhere; also there's a slight lag and I feel I don't have as much control as drawing on paper. I will definitely give this a try. Thank you. :)
How do you zoom in and out? Have to use a mouse? Or does it register finger touch?
Any one having an issue when using this tablet in photoshop where the pen pressure won’t register, I recently bought mine but ps doesn’t register pen pressure and it bugs me at times

Also, I’m more of a traditional artist, I scan my pics to a computer, but the scanner I use isn’t a good one, so I am forced to take my pics into an art app and perform heavy edits to make them look good. Problem is I don’t like to do that, I just want my works to be more traditional than anything. So my question is, do you know of any scanners that are really, really good, and when you scan the image to the computer, the image looks just like it does on paper?
Very nice Goku. (Vegeta...not so much.) That Goku is sort of a "Tree of Might" style one, I feel, with his sharp cheek and overall look. It is one of the Goku looks that I like quite a lot. Also, I like that the pupils are small - not taking up a huge amount of the eye - and the eyes are not simple quadrilaterals, but are instead rounded.

I use both Photoshop and Sai, though in this video it was just Photoshop.

What are the accessories that come along with the tablet? (Besides the pen of course)
There's a glove and the stand I showed in the video, but that's about it.
The Artist 16 Pro does have some advantages, but all of the are overshadowed by a massive (IMHO!) drawback:
As far as I know it uses a powered pen...I'd really like to know why a company like XP-Pen who make a wounderful (at least the reviews call it that, I don't own one yet!) tablet with a passive stylus (that doesn't contain a battery of any kind!) insists on making devices that use a powered pen, especially since the market leader (Wacom!) doesn't and has held the competition at bay by basically being the only game in town for years because they owned the patents for the EMR-Technology! Now that those patents have gone public nobody should (IMHO) bother with powered pens anymore (the advantages of those aren't worth it IMHO!)
