I don't know how you do it with those nails.....?!?!?! If I even have a tiny bit of a nail I leave nail marks in every clay bit I touch. Thank you for sharing this technique!
Thank you for this tutorial. It's such an amazing idea. I saw it several years ago, but I didn't try it then. I think it was just after christmas I found the video, so I just saved it. The idea stuck with me though. I always make some small ornaments for my closest coworkers, so I decided, I'll try to implement this idea this year. However I think I'll use thinner sheets of clay, so it won't get too heavy for the tree.
Very beautiful! I finally watched the whole video this morning, and even though the one turned an amber color you saved it by using the copper color on it with the copper bead, but I really love this project and even though you made yours Christmas themed I think it could be made all during the year if the theme was just changed up a bit, even adding flowers with bits of other tiny embellishments. Nice!
Oh I love your videos...been on your channel almost since the minute I got up this morning. :) I am so addicted to this stuff, if I watched fewer videos I might get more polymer clay stuff done. I've actually been trying to find a place online to get cheaper chain for my necklace projects I did find a place called beadaholique.com that's the cheapest I've found so far. Hobby lobby was crazy yesterday with their prices. :(
Lyn! This is gorgeous! I will be making something like this, thank you so much for your tutorials!!!! Wish I could send it in to show you how you have inspired me when its finished!
absolutely will! however, I have found that this resin STICKS TO EVERYTHING! my wax paper, and other plastics I have used- cannot get it off and have wasted more than i like so far. But DANG, Magic Glos, it does not work like normal resin!? what will it not stick to?
I haven't used Magic Glos in such a long time...lol...have you tried a piece of clear packing tape? The resin should make the clear tape virtually disappear so you wont even need to remove it. I have a silicone mat, nothing sticks to it.
thanks for your help! I was persistent last night, used a sheet of vinyl, it worked! wish I had that sheet of silicone. I didnt realize this video was 2014. I really appreciate your help!
What an awesome project and tutorial again :-D ... Such a year round idea to create a myriad of designs... with the UV product that you use... do you have a particular UV machine that you use to 'activate' / dry it out as such? I've never used a UV resin with polymer ....do you have a tutorial on your site about using UV resin on polymer clay? (btw - love your style on how you present your tutorials - easy going and just like having you by my side in real life - except that I can pause, rewind lol!) Thanks :-D
ua-cam.com/video/N66dBlmNQpI/v-deo.html try this one...lol...I have over 400 videos here on YT(most polymer clay but not all). I bought the lite off of ebay, just search nail art UV lite for under 20$. Thank you so much! Lyn
Love these! I may use this construction/resin technique for some holiday gifts for some of my nieces this year, if that's OK with you. They'll be the same, but different. I already have each one pictured in my mind....
Hi Leena, since the heat gun heats up to about 300degrees you'll need to keep it moving so as not to scorch the clay since the clay is relatively thin. but yes it can be done, there are quite a few techniques using the heat gun. I'll try to post a video soon. Thanks for watching!
+maria munoz Hi Maria, I used the 1 1/2"' circle cutter on this piece. So it about 1 1/2""x 2 1/2"" after I added the pine cone...lol. Thanks for watching! Lyn

hermosos trabajos!!!!!!
I love this craft! Where did you find the UV stuff? :)
Thanks so much! The first time I bought it off of ebay but this time I got it from Staples online...go figure...lol.
I didn't know you could use a heatgun! :) for how long did you blow on one spot, to cure the polymer clay on the charm?
Hi Leena, since the heat gun heats up to about 300degrees you'll need to keep it moving so as not to scorch the clay since the clay is relatively thin. but yes it can be done, there are quite a few techniques using the heat gun. I'll try to post a video soon. Thanks for watching!
love it, what size is the finished product.

Does the tape cause the cloudiness.?
Your voice is deep.
minh tran One of the reasons I didn't do videos at first...I didn't like the sound of my voice...lol...I got used to it though.
Oops
I want to ask you that are you a girl or a 👦?
minh tran Girl!
