Thank you so much, Hon! I have quite a few...lol. I've had my hands full this week with this new puppy but I'll get right back to it next week. Thanks for watching! Lyn
I'm rewatching this tonight. I got resin a couple weeks ago, and thought ...oh, I need to buy several open back bezels...then I remembered I could make a hundred of them with the clay..LOLOL...if only I could build myself a new car! Yes, that extra heart piece..should make it plenty sturdy.. i love a clay and metal jewelry...mix it up..
Thanks Pamela, I recently remade the extra Heart piece, now it's a bit more 3D...it looks a bit better now. Yea I could use a few new things...if I could only make them from clay...lol.
Cool, Did you make a video of that ? Anything you can think of with resin, I would love to see. I am trying to find out about using moss in resin.too. what type? Currently, I have ice resin on hand. And read ...",don't use wet flowers or moss."...but I don't know if they meant wet moss???? ....not clear.
I'd didn't make a video, sorry about that. I watch another polymer clay Artist named Ludmila who does some gorgeous resin with different mosses and such ua-cam.com/video/7w9HINRG6P8/v-deo.html here's the link to the video, it's not in English but she does sub-titles in English. I hope it helps, Pam.
LynzCraftz I'm not so good with patience either. I will look it a few hundred times before it is ready :p I have not yet tried baking clay in with the resin. Makes me too nervous LOL. I will eventually though I am sure. I am in Texas too and it is really cold. We had 36 this morning. A friend of mine in Colorado though had 6 degrees when she went to bed last night. :P She is going to have a whopping high of 16 today. Too cold for resin here. :P I don't like to use my heat much so I have my thermostat set for 60 degrees which is perfectly fine for me. :) If I start thinking it is not warm enough I just step outside for a bit and then back in. 60 feels wonderful at that point. :p - Heidi
BlackCat2 I heard that...lol...it was 29 hear this morning, finally made it up to 33 now. I really don't like it...as I always say..."sun bunnies freeze"...lol! I like it warm & sunny! 100 degrees doesn't bother me at all! Lyn
I really love the uniqueness of your pieces and that you purpose to create one of a kind. Did you add a second layer of resin after baking the backside of heart? I thought I heard you say that was your plan but didn't see it. The piece you showed at the end done with liquid clay, can you demonstrate that? It looks so wonderful and vintage, like a long forgotten abandoned treasure? 😁
Thanks Allison, yes I did. The Tape leaves a "pattern/texture" on the resin so I had to resin the back. Lol...I had to go back to see which piece you meant and I shivered when I saw the scorpion. Yes, I'll try and work up a video using liquid clay like that. so be on the look out for that. Thanks again, Allison!
Your video popped up and I am so glad I watched. Great idea. I don't have the UV resin I hope any resin will do. I am going to try this. I subscribed to your channel too.
Arrrggg...it drives me crazy...lol...Hubby has a way of working magic with it to quiet it down. I need to have him work on it again...lol. Thanks Hon! Lyn
Am I hearing a trail in the back ground? ? If so I live where their is multiple crossing and I love the sound of a train whistle. Where I grew up in Michigan we had a crossing of Grand Trunk in our sub and trains were all steam engines - giving away my age lol ) 77.
Hi Virginia, yes it is a train just a about a block away from our home. We hear the whistle more in the Winter when there are no leaves on the trees but we do hear it all the time. It runs right past the feed store in town. Our tiny little town(Pop. just over 1,000 or so they say) used to boast it was the Watermelon Capital as the Watermelon Festival claims. Until the depression & the highway by-passed our town & things started to disappear. When we first started coming out here(used to be our favorite fishing spot as highschool sweethearts, well it still is...lol) it had gas pumps in the parking lot of the grocery store with a cigar box on top for you to pay for the gas & get your change(now who giving away their age...lol) those were the days!
Hi Lynz, I love the UV resin and the fact that you can bake it with the polymer clay is even better. Especially since regular resin is flammable, has toxic fumes and takes a while to dry. I do however wish it was a bit cheaper because I love to get other people involved with different polymer clay products. The problem is that some can't afford the prices. I agree it is worth it but sometimes you can't see the worth of something until you've tried it. That's why once I get my channel going I plan on doing a giveaway and that will be one of the items among the prizes. I'm gonna try talking to Lisa and see if she will donate to the giveaway. I know that she loves to inspire new artist. She lives over here near me in Vegas. I am so glad you are showing a way to use this product. I am hoping to get the channel up before Christmas. I'm putting together a studio but I think I may start filming at my kitchen table just to get out some videos. Do you have your own craft studio or area set up in your home? Or do you just use an available table and tripod? The items you make are beautiful. I love to see everything you come up with. Anyway, take care, Dee
Hi Dee, true I had to save up for months to be able to buy a new supply. So I know how expensive supplies can be, however the 1oz bottle is doable for just about anyone & it does go a long way. Yes I do have my own studio but I do need a better set-up for filming. I have a table top tripod & a larger camera tripod( both came from a junk store). Thanks again for watching! Lyn
Hi dearheart! Thanks for another lovely tut! My mind is just spinning with possibilities! Imagine adding the interference colors of PearlEx with the uv resin! What a faux opal effect that would create! Loved the fishy sounds again, as always! The heater was an unexpected bonus sound! So ASMR! Lol keep them coming and stay warm!!
Thanks Tamara! Just be sure to go light with the pearl-ex, too much can cause the resin to not cure so well. I need Hubby to work his magic with the aquarium again...it drives me crazy...lol. Yep supposed to be cold here for still another week before it finally goes back to "normal". It should be in the 60s-70s still here, instead it's in the 20's-30's...brrrr! Crazy weather! You stay warm too, Hon! Lyn
Thanks Cynthia! I actually buy multiple sizes & use them according to my needs. I know that's not much help...they range in size from 3mm-10mm & then I also have 12mm & 14mm. That way I always have what I need. Thanks for watching! Lyn
Thank you Lyn! It's just when I do go to the store here I am always stuck with 6mm. I guess that is a standard size. I guess I need to break down and do some ordering online when I remember and do not have so many irons in the fire lol!!!
Cynthia Pearman I do know what you mean about so many irons in the fire, it seems like it's always that way...lol. I really don't have any choice but to order online since we(my Hubby & I) only have one car & the closest craft store is about 70 miles away(one way). I wish they would build one closer...!
I understand completely. My husband and I have one car too, I am fortunate to have a store locally but only have two days a week when I can run... So... sometimes I get bummed out and just have to wait a little longer. Between kids (and we have seven) and schedules even in those two days it can be challenging. Have a great Day!!
I was so entranced watching you do this...so cool. I absolutely love the results, and as usual you make it look so easy. I'd have to make a long list of items to buy to be able to do this, but it's so tempting. Hugs Claudene
Thanks Claudene! I try to make it where there aren't many supplies but I do understand. You could always use liquid sculpey instead but I know even that's a cost. Thanks for watching Hon! Hugs Lyn
Great piece! love the way it turned out I think I will try this. Thanks for the share! its going to get to 19 degrees here in Washington State tonight not fit for man nor beast!
I just wonder if you use your regular oven or a toaster oven? It seems like it would be a lot of oven time in a regular oven to bake one or two pieces several times as you work on one project. thanks.
I use a Hamilton Beach Convection Toaster Oven as my clay oven, it works wonderfully. I almost always have it full when I bake. If you could see my desk...lol...I almost always have several projects going at one time. Lyn
I think this one is closest to my machine. The only difference is the placement of the switches for the light, mine are one the back. www.ebay.com/itm/Pro-36W-Nail-Polish-Dryer-Lamp-LED-UV-Gel-Acrylic-Curing-Light-Spa-Kit-4-Tubes/292634626941?hash=item4422620b7d:g:kikAAOSw5KFbQwwN:rk:1:pf:1&var=591437394775&frcectupt=true
Hi Lynz, I love Lisa's UV resin but it can be a bit pricey for some people. I especially like the fact that you can put it back in the oven even after you use the resin. I noticed that when you were using the tape it kept sticking to your fingers. Have you ever tried dusting the outside area with corn starch or something so your fingers won't stick? I don't know how long you have been doing this but Lisa use to make a clear glaze that you didn't have to put under a UV light and that stuff was great, have you ever used it? As a matter of fact I still have a bottle of it. I only wish she still made it. I'll have to call her and ask her about that. Anyway, wonderful video. Lots of good info. take care, Dee
Hi Dee, it is a bit pricey but when you consider the hassle of mixing, stirring, timing etc of 2 pt resin I think it's definitely worth it. Yes I could've dusted the tape or trimmed it a bit more. Thanks for the tip. Although I've been working with clay for about 10 yrs I didn't know about that clear glaze, probably glad I didn't...lol...then I would miss it! I did notice the price on the UV resin coming down a little bit though...I got the 6oz from staples for only 37$ with free shipping...lol...well I did say a bit cheaper. Thanks Dee...stay warm, Hon! TFW Lyn

Oh I have a resine with part A and B, but looked some yellow. Where I can purchase this that you use?
LynzCraftz Thank a lot
what kind of resin did you use ?
I used Lisa Pavelka's Magic Gloss.
I need a place to purchase economic textures. Do you can recommend some else?
Hi Liz, CoolTools has some awesome texture sheets starting at $5.95 & up. www.cooltools.us/Show-All-Textures-s/1521.htm
Hope it helps! Thanks for watching! Lyn
LynzCraftz Good thanks a lot

You lovely woman! Thank you :D
CLea C Lol...I know, right?
hello...i dont have a uv light...we are in rainy season...and im not using polymer clay...im using air dry clay...how can i make a bezel for my little art?
Hi Danika, you could try a 2 pt resin like Amazing Clear Cast...it take about 18-24 hours to set up but it works well. I hope it helps. Thanks Lyn
Did you actually bake the resin in the oven? I hear it shortens the lifespan of the UV resin and can cause problems.
I did and so far it's just fine...lol...5 years later. It may depend on the type UV resin your using but UltraDome works great.
That was awesome Lyn, i really love your work xx Wendy
Thanks Wendy! I'm trying to work but it's a toss up...run the heater in my studio or the oven...lol...I think I need a bigger breaker! It blows ever time...lol. TFW Lyn

Hello, I really love your heart stamp, do you mind telling me which company makes it? Thank you JoAnn McBrady in NM
Thanks JoAnn, I believe it's a Hero Arts stamp set. It has Damask & Heart stamps in it but I'm not sure of the name. I'm terrible about keeping packaging...lol. Thanks for watching! Lyn
can you use liquid clay instead of bake and bond to add-hear the pieces together?
Sure Dagmar, they are basically the same product. Bake & Bond has some extra fibrous material in it making it a bit more "tacky" but liquid clay should work just fine.
Hi Lyn.. Thank you for an amazing video with a lovely technique and a fabolous result..waw..love it. I just tead the comments to avoid asking what other already did ask about. I had troubles finding UV resin. I dont have a craft store. In our province I guess we have none. I'm in Spain and would need to go to Madrid I guess.. 5-6 hours each way....not an option....lol.. When looking for UV resin on E Bay e.g they only show the type for nails and fly tyes.( fishing equipment ). But I saw you used Lisa Pavelka and you suggested Liquid Sculpey. But then next problem arise : what kind of oven do you use to cure the resin ? Again on E Bay they only show a torch like type UV light. That would mean you use it handheld for 10-15 minutes or more ? Not tempting.. Can you please help me by telling which kind of oven you use and a brand name ? I could try to Google and see if I could find a store who will ship to Spain...
Thank you again for a lovely tutorial..

Hi again Lyn
Thank you for your very kind message . It was so detailed and very helpful. I just went through some of your videos. And I must admit I'm impressed. You have created the most fantastic art. But after watching a few videos I wonder if you prefer UV resin or casting resin ? As far as I understand the casting resin does'nt need UV curing ? I'm totally a beginner ( or rather havent not even started yet ) but as far as I understood the two above resins are differenr. One needs mixing and no curing and the UV resin means no mixing and UV curing ? Which one do you recommend ?
I'm sorry to disturb you again. But in advance thank you for any reply.
