I love your stripped-back way of teaching. You just work away in your own time and talk about it as you go, showing us your thought processes too, and I really enjoy watching you. It really feels as though we're being invited into your creative space. Beautiful work and great tutorials, looking forward to seeing more from you! :) xx
Lynn I have to tell you I have been LOST in your tutorials since discovering them a few months ago! Seriously! One Saturday... about 6 hours. LOL Thank you for all this hard work. I loved this butterfly pendant one and will give it a try once we get past then next few crazy holiday days...
Thank you so much Willow! It's my pleasure since I love clay I figure I might as well film while I work right? I also love to share so it's a natural combo! Thanks for watching! Lyn
I love butterflies. This video is very informative. I always learn so much and my confidence level is heightened. Also I love the conversation while teaching, I feel as if I'm sitting beside you. Thank you so much.
Lyn, as always, really nice and complete walk through of the process and a creative project. Good tip on where to get the hot fix rhinestones mixes. Of course, gotta have 1440 rhinestones! LOL Enjoyed the video. Thanks.
Absolutely love your artistic style... also quoting you 'it doesn't have to be perfect'. In other tutorials I get stressed out watching and trying to follow them. You seem to still be having fun :) I'm new to Polymer but used to make things with clay/pottery. All of the handwork in pottery is coming back to me... I'm having such fun :) Thanks for taking the time to do the tutorials!
Thanks Katherine, I've got a newer camera these days so I do make them(the videos) shorter now...my camera had developed the problem of if I tried to edit it would just erase that part of the video so I had to try not to edit at all. My new camera works much better so it's back to editing...lol...Thanks again & Happy New Year! Lyn
You are good at drawing I used to be but not anymore. The butterfly’s so beautiful. Girl you make me wish I could still draw. My shoulder is really messed up. Did you take lessons or is it a God given talent to draw?💙
Thank you so much, Cindy! 😀Probably a bit of both...lol...my Mom enrolled me in an Art Class at the local Rec Center when I was only 6(I'm sure to give herself a bit of a break) it was an Oil Painting Class! I don't oil paint anymore but my Mom always did. I took every bit of Art in school and in highschool I took a 3 year advanced Art course.
@@LynzCraftz got your packages mailed and watched them get loaded on the. Truck so they are on the way to you. She said probably by Friday you should have in your hands
That's lovely. :) I cut myself often with my blade for exactly that reason. *laughs* I don't even feel it most of the time anymore unless it is a really deep cut but then I think it is more noticing the blood rather than feeling it. :p - Heidi
Hello, I really enjoyed your video. I do have a question for you. What is the difference between using the inca gold as opposed to the embossing ink? Thanks for your time.
Beautiful butterfly!!! I wonder what would you bake the rhinestones on temp and how long if not embossing? Also are the crystals made out of glass or plastic?
Lol...I might should have said that in the video Huh? They're glass & I would just bake them on the regular temp & time for the clay your using. Thanks LarryTurner! Lyn
Other brands of clay will work, so will other "sparkly" accents...powdered eye shadow etc. Having never been to Greece and only having lived in the US, I wouldn't have a clue...lol.
Hi Lyn, I love your videos. Can you tell me if you've used WOW embossing powders? I tried them on baked clay (Fimo professional and Kato) with Versamark ink and with the heat gun and then it looks pretty but they easily scratch off with my nail. Since I am not only using it on flat pieces, resin for sealing it doesn't work. I tried other glosses and PYMII but it all comes off... any idea what I am doing wrong? I hope this is enough info for you to have an idea. Thanks!
Sorry Mirham, I can't help with this one since I've never tried WOW embossing powders! I've never had this happen before though. It could possibly be the clay or it could be some other factors I'm nor even thinking of. I've done this on beads, bracelets & pendants without any trouble some are even coated with resin. Hmmm sounds a bit strange but I can't be more help, sorry. Lyn
Your videos are great, Thank you! There is only for 1 thing that can be improved upon; there is a very loud noise in the background in all the videos, that sounds like a waterfall. If you can fix this, I'd really appreciate it.
Sorry Ruthie, I have a 100gal. aquarium in my studio so sometimes it's just loud. Many of my subbies say it's soothing but really it just drives me nuts...lol. Lyn
paulasmits Lol...it wasn't really mean to be anatomically correct but I think if you google butterflies you'll find many varieties where the thorax & abdomen are as long or longer/bigger than the wings. But then again, I'm no Lepidopterist...lol! Lyn

I'm assuming you mean the craft knife? It's called an Xacto(brand name).
s more of a moth's body. its too big for the wing size to be a butterfly
