    Really awesome pendant! The metal finish looks so cool! If you ever have to dig out tissue paper again, a crochet hook (very small) might be your best friend. 😊

    I´d recommend using toilet paper instead of the kitchen paper towels, it dissolves easier in water.

    Nice piece, I have done this and with a flat back piece I did the top over the tissue exactly the same but baked it separate to the flat back then you glue or liquid clay and bake the 2 parts together, its especially good for people who find removing tissue time consuming or tricky :)

    That's a very interesting piece. Nice work. I thought that when you baked the heart, that the tissue paper would have burned away. I guess if it did, you would run the risk of the heart collapsing. You soaked the tissue in water right? Anyway, it was really a great little heart.

    • @sandrartes
      @sandrartes  10 років тому

      The temperature is low, not more than 130°C so it does'nt burn. :) And yes I removed the paper in water:)

    Hi Sandra! Thank you for your tutorial they're very clear and nice!
    I have a question:
    There is no danger on baking toilet paper? I'd like to try the technique but I'm a beat concerned about this .
    Bye

    • @aidyncurlee4197
      @aidyncurlee4197 8 років тому

      I know I'm answering late but-
      There is no danger with certain clays! (such as nontoxic-Sculpey, Premo and Fimo) But if it doesn't say non toxic or doesn't look like it's made for kids it may not be 100% safe! You can also use tinfoil ( it will bake with the texture, and you may have to coat the foil in Vaseline so the clay comes off easy) or scrap clay(prebaked with Vaseline) I have used these methods and they are oven safe!
      Best wishes😊

    Oi Sandra eu estou inscrito em seu canal, a aprender com você porque você faz coisas maravilhosas, queria saber se este coração fazer em porcelana fria, é que eu trabalho porcelana, fimo aqui na Espanha é muito caro. Uma saudação. Isabel.

    • @sandrartes
      @sandrartes  10 років тому

      Oi Isabel! :)
      Obrigado por se ter inscrito no meu canal e por sua simpatia! :D
      Este trabalho pode ser feito em porcelana fria também. Apenas deve revestir a estrutura de papel com película de plástico, para que a porcelana fria não se cole e para que a remoção do papel seja mais fácil.
      Depois de a peça estar seca, pode romper a película de plástico (deve ser uma camada fina) e permitir a saída do papel, utilizando a água para o desfazer.
      Depois de retirar o papel do seu interior, também será fácil remover o plástico :)

    just a Question why don't you bake the top of the heart part of the way on the TP then make the Back and use liquid clay to bake the two side together after?

    • @sandrartes
      @sandrartes  10 років тому

      Hi shieldntrning! :)
      I could do that, but this is just an exemple on how to use TP to make hollow pieces.
      And is possible to create other shapes without having 2 parts in the piece :)
      Thanks for your comment! Is a good suggestion and you still can use TP as armature! :D
