Really awesome pendant! The metal finish looks so cool! If you ever have to dig out tissue paper again, a crochet hook (very small) might be your best friend. 😊
friederieke zitz Hi friederieke! :D I used toilet paper in this tutorial. And yes it dissolves easier in water! :D Thank you for your nice comment!! :D
Thank you thank you thank you!!! This whole time I've been using expensive styrofoam shapes and stinky nail polish remover and all I had to use was cheap TP!!!! You've just saved me a bundle!!
Nice piece, I have done this and with a flat back piece I did the top over the tissue exactly the same but baked it separate to the flat back then you glue or liquid clay and bake the 2 parts together, its especially good for people who find removing tissue time consuming or tricky :)
That's a very interesting piece. Nice work. I thought that when you baked the heart, that the tissue paper would have burned away. I guess if it did, you would run the risk of the heart collapsing. You soaked the tissue in water right? Anyway, it was really a great little heart.
Hi Sandra! Thank you for your tutorial they're very clear and nice! I have a question: There is no danger on baking toilet paper? I'd like to try the technique but I'm a beat concerned about this . Bye
I know I'm answering late but- There is no danger with certain clays! (such as nontoxic-Sculpey, Premo and Fimo) But if it doesn't say non toxic or doesn't look like it's made for kids it may not be 100% safe! You can also use tinfoil ( it will bake with the texture, and you may have to coat the foil in Vaseline so the clay comes off easy) or scrap clay(prebaked with Vaseline) I have used these methods and they are oven safe! Best wishes😊
just a Question why don't you bake the top of the heart part of the way on the TP then make the Back and use liquid clay to bake the two side together after?
Hi shieldntrning! :) I could do that, but this is just an exemple on how to use TP to make hollow pieces. And is possible to create other shapes without having 2 parts in the piece :) Thanks for your comment! Is a good suggestion and you still can use TP as armature! :D
That was so neat. I have been wanting to try making something hollow for a while now but always afraid will burn the house down. :p I may try it today though. We have a lot of toilet paper. :) - Heidi
what you should of commented with a Thank you instead of the video played twice. Be appreciative for Sandra's kindness for sharing her talents with us.
sandrartes So UA-cam is pretty vigilant about copyright infringement? Gee, that's kinda of a bummer. I was going to make a vid, and I had a perfect song in mind for back ground music.

Que bonito corazón, aquí en Oaxaca, que es donde yo vivo hacen el barro negro y se parece mucho a lo que hiciste, felicidades
Amei a técnica. com legenda em português é tudo de maravilhoso. muito obrigada
I´d recommend using toilet paper instead of the kitchen paper towels, it dissolves easier in water.

The temperature is low, not more than 130°C so it does'nt burn. :) And yes I removed the paper in water:)

When you find the leaf metal you can try it again!!! :))

hi I tried using natural clay and it crumbled what am I doing wrong
This is a tutorial for polymer clay, not natural clay.
j'adore vos vidéos, mais le blanc sur blanc est parfois un peu gênant et empêche de bien voir. Dommage, mais j'aime beaucoup ce que vous faites !!
where can u find the really small heart cookie cutter
Hi Jennifer! :)
I have the cutters a while, but i think they are from Makin's clay. The heart cutter cames in a set... I think that was Mini geo set

Hi Elizabeth! :D
Yes i did... I had to remove the first one (youtube issues), and I had to change the music. Everything is ok now! :)
what you should of commented with a Thank you instead of the video played twice. Be appreciative for Sandra's kindness for sharing her talents with us.
sandrartes So UA-cam is pretty vigilant about copyright infringement? Gee, that's kinda of a bummer. I was going to make a vid, and I had a perfect song in mind for back ground music.
I'm not sure about that! I was using a free music. Already happened with a music from youtube audiolibrary... and they are also free to use...
sandrartes I see. Maybe it was a contract or license dispute. Good to know, thanks.
That's absolutely beautiful!
Thank you Joanne S!! :))
