Loved this dude growing up....Jason Taylor, Zach Thomas, Ricky Williams was my childhood. Back in them days when the Dolphins were scary and nobody wanted to come to Miami.
Roger Goodell I liked them too but they never made the playoffs when they had Ricky except in 2008 when he was a backup.

I remember when I was in South Florida for the holidays, and I attended a Miami Dolphins football game. It was Jason Taylor's last game NFL football game of his career against the NY Jets. It was me, my mother, and sister. We got on the same elevator as Jason Taylor's family. And I said, "Jason Taylor used to play the Redskins." everybody in his family gave me that who's that guy look. Jay Taylor was nice, for real!

The problem was always Spielman and Wannstedt thought defense first, which was fine up to a point, but you needed a suitable offense to go with it, they had some good players in Rickey Willians, Chris Chambers and Randy McMichael, but Fiedler was never the answer at QB

I'm a Raiders fan, and listened to the entire speech. Jason Taylor thanked almost everyone, even said how he stole money from NFL owners. Even guys that work behind the scenes, he thanked. I'm sad to hear of the hate directed toward him.
He literally thanked every person he has ever met in his entire life.

Kept many a defensive coordinator awake at night just trying to account for his game-changing ability week in and week out. As both a Dolphins fan and a fan of pro football, perhaps no other defensive end/pass rusher is more deserving of this great honor than #99. Fins Up!

Hopefully with Jason Taylor and Kenny Easley's induction to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, more and more defenders will be included in Canton in their early ballot entries and I think the PB HOF class of 2018 will be defense-heavy.
Ray Lewis, Ronde Barber, Brian Urlacher, John Lynch and Brian Dawkins lead the way and I think those five have a shot to get in as part of the 2018 class.
Those five and Randy Moss are my modern day picks for the PB HOF Class of 2018.
The Lord blessed Jason with it all. TruLee the King's Man; whether it's an assignment to spy the QB during a sure sac passing down, or the where with all to lead a middling teem for his entire dominating career. They say the test of a HOFF is that there the 1 player you must game plan for. Many a sleepless nite was spent on war games to tame this beast. Truly The White Knight.

I hate to "that guy" but Jason Taylor DID NOT deserve first ballot. Especially not when they kept T.O out another year.
Michael Strahan had to wait a year for the Hall and Taylor couldn't have held his jock with both hands and a back brace. I see no reason why his Hall induction was fast-tracked like that.
Xavier Vega yes don’t be “that guy”. Have you seen his stat sheet? No question first ballot. Strahan had just 2 more career sacks than Taylor. The big disparity was in career tackles with Strahan registering 179 more. Now game changing impact plays is where Strahan won’t even come close to Taylor. Strahan has 4 ints and 24 forced fumbles with no fumble recoveries or tds. Taylor had mind boggling numbers for a d-lineman. 8 ints and 47 forced fumbles with 29 fumble recoveries and 9 tds. Do your research before commenting because you come across as a buffon. Your jock strap comment may apply but with the roles reversed.
Please. Strahan was the best run stuffing end of his generation ALONG with being an elite pass rusher. Jason Taylor was pretty much useless on running downs.

A defensive end has two main priorities. Set the edge against the run, and rush the passer on passing downs. Strahan did BOTH better than Taylor. Oh and Strahan has a Super Bowl ring. Taylor has never even BEEN to the Super Bowl.
