Born and raised Floridian 76 - to present.. grew up in Miami Dolphin's household w 1972 perfect season memorabilia all over. Losing Don Shula is losing father figure of Miami football. Many can say Don lived a good life, a full life. May you RIP Don, Miami Dolphin fans will miss you.
R.I.P Don Shula the Legendary Miami Dolphins Coach. We're all gonna miss you alot friend. I work at the Don Shula's Hotel in Miami Lakes Florida. I'll always make sure it stays nice and clean for him. I can't believe he's gone now.
This hurts so bad. RIP! DON THE GOAT SHULA. IM THANKFUL TO HAVE THE PLEASURE TO MEET SUCH A INCREDIBLE HUMAN BEING. 😭FINS UP! HEAVEN HAS OPENED THE GATES WITH A BANNER THAT READS 17-0 IS HERE.
R.I.P don shula you will never be forgotten you legend of the game we all love you and thank you for what you have done to influence our lives Rest In Peace coach we love you ❤️❤️❤️
I friend I know saw him at the old Kezar Stadium in San Francisco. He was the coach of the Baltimore Colts and also Johnny Unitas, Jimmy Parker, Raymond Berry, and Lenny Moore on the sidelines and in action.
I’ve mentally prepared for this day when I saw the 72 Dolphins visit the White House when Obama was President. During that time, it was clear to see his health was starting to seriously decline as a 85+ year old man tends to do. Having said that, its still sad, especially when its one of the Mt Rushmore NFL Head Coaches. Rest in Peace Coach. Thank you for leaving behind one of the greatest legacies in NFL history. Fins Up Forever. 🐬🐬🐬
Great speech from a great Coach, makes me proud to be a Miami Dolphin. I wish I had the chance to meet him personally and just say thank you for taking the franchise to where he took it to. R.I.P. Coach Shula 🙏
Coach Don Shula, you are already missed dearly! Coach Shula is the reason I love the Miami Dolphins, Coach Shula did it the right way and did not cheat (Belichick) was a class act and a powerfully positive influence on the game and young men. Thank you Coach Shula for the great memories!
Shula always found a way to win with what he had, made it work either thru air or ground and most important he kept the respect and dignity for the game while winning, never cheated and overall he was a class act, can't say that about most of the coaches past and present. That's why he is the best coach in the NFL. RIP coach, you will be missed.
Rest In Peace coach. The greatest coach of all time. Grew up in Miami and thought of him as my grandpa, losing him is like losing someone from my family.
My first game as a Dolphins fan was Coach Shula's first game in Miami. It was a preseason game against the Steelers and I listened to it on the radio sitting on the floor in my parents bedroom. The Dolphins won, of course, 16-10, and I was a fan for life. I was able to meet him for a minute in 1971 and get an autograph. I was very young and he seemed 10 feet tall. I'll never forget how nice he was to me that day. I could go on all day writing about all the great things he accomplished, but I'll simply say, he was the Greatest Coach in the History of Football. I send my condolences to his family. I'll stop now and go wipe my eyes.
His record speaks for itself. His players speak for him. His is a life well lived. I sure enjoyed the championships as a kid growing up in South Florida, and the excitement the Dolphins have brought me ever since. Would love to see Coach Flo win a Super Bowl and pick up where he left off
What a great HOF speech. RIP Coach Shula, you have all of us Dolphins fans an incredible team history filled with amazing accomplishments and incredible players. I’m grateful for your commitment to excellence. Gods grace be with you, see you on the other side!
RIP to Don Shula. This man is the greatest thing to happen to south florida sports! Mount Rushmore of Miami: Shula, Wade, Marino, who should be the fourth?
miami dolphins lol cheating or not cheating you’re a dolphins fan. Your team has been ass for 25 years. Bill doesn’t need to cheat in that sorry ass division.
TO HONOR SHULA: let's bring back our throwback unis for good - all white for home games. Let's be frank: everybody loves our classic look, and the new ones with that lame-ass logo really do suck, just a wee bit.
nikshmenga I think they have just one more year before they can do just exactly then. Also think the team understands that the fan base wants that look permanently. It’s the prettiest uniform in the NFL, and you would see a fuckton of merch sales down here
Carol Rosenbloom was an evil man. But he hired 2 of the greatest coaches of all time. Weeb and Don. Neither of those guys should have ever been let go. So much water under Conowingo dam since then. But in Baltimore Shula leaving was the beginning of the end for the Baltimore Colts. Aint the beer cold and go to war Mrs Agnes. Enjoy the steamed crabs in heaven Don.
