Really like your style - you are very direct about how you see and feel about bikes. And I am a Spyderco fan too (love my sprint Ayoob, PM2 and a few others)
The glasses look solid. Regarding the scrambler 900. If I wanted another Triumph I'd get the 900 as well. Better height for me at 5'10" and more classic styling in my opinion.
You're absolutely right about the looks of a bike. It's not practical like a car, we buy and ride motorcycles because of the lifestyle and how it makes us feel and the looks are a part of that. The scrambler 900 looks far better than the 1200 or 400x in my opinion too
I have a 400x and was wondering which upgraded controls or parts you were talking about? Triumph has a small selection of parts, and Brogue Motorcycles has a few more, but I've not seen any premium controls anywhere. Are you talking about switch gear, turn signal switch, ignition, that sort of thing?
I've seen brake and shift levers a few times. One company made a custom handlebar cluster (not sure if it's a production for sale item yet though). I don't recall company names but you can definitely get stuff from K-Speed, Unit Garage, and Omega Racer. Thanks for watching!
