    About Nicholeen Peck
    ========================
    Despite your best efforts at raising children, is your family dysfunctional? Do your children set the rules and have control of your home instead of you? Are you looking for parenting skills that will help you create a united, happy family?
    Then meet Nicholeen Peck, one of the world’s most effective parenting experts. Whether you want to fix child behavioral issues, create more unity in the home, or simply strengthen your family relationships, her proven system - Teaching Self-Government - can help you turn chaos into calm.

    Love your story from when you were 14 and had the change of heart! It would make a great short kids book to teach little ones!

    I found your channel yesterday. Tone is everything. So much is so true-we are motivated to start with our 6. 3 adopted. I wondered how your techniques work with children that aren’t Neuro typical- kids on the spectrum/ Neuro processing disorders etc. We are in crisis but God is faithful and I know he led me here.

      That’s who this program was designed for. I took in foster children who were not neuro typical, and this is what we did.

    I have my 12 year old nephew and 9 year old niece in my care and lying, dishonest chores, and pretty much everything you said. This has become such a big problem for the boy just like you said everything EVERYTHING that comes out of his mouth was some sort of lie. I told him last night at my breaking point that if he needs to start being the trustworthy person that he wants to be he needs to start telling the truth and being honest. I’m going to share with them your story, and change my tone I know that that can be something I need to work on especially if it helps him to stop.

    Im having trouble with my 15 yr old. Her lies scare me because her acting is so good I'd believe it if i hadn't double checked what shes claiming but she dropped a bomb on me 2 days ago where i dont even know what to do or what to believe

    What if you can't get the child to own up to the lie?

    • @TeachingSelfGovernment

      Then you have to go by intuition/inspiration. Then, pre-teach that, in the future, if they don't want to have negative consequences for what you feel is a lie, then they need to do lots of things in honesty and truth to gain back your trust and make deposits into the "relationship bank account."

    I have a hard time telling the truth to my boyfriend

    • @TeachingSelfGovernment
      @TeachingSelfGovernment  Рік тому

      That could be for a number of reasons. It could be that you're scared of revealing the truth because it could cause conflict, which is often undesirable. It could also be that your trust is weak, which makes you wary of opening up. I'm not sure of your situation, but I'm sure I could answer more of your question if I knew more of your situation. I'd be happy to give you more advice on my Support Group call! Here's the link, if you'd like more information: teachingselfgovernment.com/store/support-group/
      I hope this helps!
