    i was diagnosed with endo 4 that spread to the lungs and intestines and lived with it for 20 years because i believed that there is no hope and nothing can be done.I am 4th-year endo, pain, bloating and cramps-free. Girls make an anti-inflammatory diet a lifestyle. Endo is an inflammatory illness but we can reduce or even eliminate inflammation naturally most of the time! Great video Becky!

      I was diagnosed with endo 4 as well. Getting my tennis ball size growths removed, one on both ovaries this week. Was told to go on the medicine that puts you into menopause but I am hoping for children being almost 30. I will try these diet changes after surgery. If you would be willing to share your experience with surgery if you had it I would appreciate it. Were they able to tell it spread via MRI or did they find out in surgery?

    I incorporated most of these changes into my diet. Month 3 now and the chamge has been phenomenal! No pains AT ALL during my period, periods are lighter now and bout 1-2 days shorter.
    I stopped eating dairy, gluten, alcohol, processed foods, coffee, sugar and simple carbs. I started having more veggies (especially cruciferous vegetables), decaf coffee and diary free products. Insane!!!

    A great substitute for a desert is
    Blending together
    2 tbsp flax seed light or dark
    1/2 cup of dried currents, apricots, figs, cranberries or similar
    With 1 and a half cups boiling water
    Add 3-4 dates and a dash of cinnamon
    Every ingredient is according to consistency and taste
    Pour into a glass jar
    Cool
    Refrigerate
    Serve with coconut yoghurt n berries with a sprinkle of toasted coconut n nuts
    It’s a great little desert

    Bless you for this video! I was just diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis today after my surgery. Everything went well and amazingly all of my reproductive organs are very healthy still! I would have never guessed endo was the cause of all my pain and having trouble getting pregnant. I’m just relieved to know now. And I plan on drastically changing my diet; thank you for all these tips. They help so much and I will be using all of them lol! I really don’t want to go through so much pain again and I want to do what I can on my end to make it easier for me to conceive. It’s so crazy how food can change so many things! Didn’t mean to rant, but thanks again!! 🤗

      It sounds like you got the news I did at the exact same time. My surgery is this week to remove two tennis ball size growths one on both ovaries. Would you mind telling me how your surgery went and recovery? I too was trying to get pregnant for the past year and was unsuccessful. Praying my tubes and some of my ovaries are good after surgery

    • @talenabell498

      @@BC-gu8vs firstly I’m sorry to hear that and I pray everything goes really well with your surgery! The surgery process wasn’t bad at all, it feels like a 20 min nap. They just get your IV in and get the anesthesia working and you’re out lol. It feels really quick, but I believe by surgery took like 2 hours. I had a really big cyst on my right ovary and a LOT of tissue scarring everywhere. They had trouble finding my uterus because of all the scarring that was covering it up 😩 But they were able to remove everything! And the recovery for me personally was really quick too. I was just sore and stayed in bed for the first week. I had a bit of spotting for a few days but that’s normal. The second week I was up and walking around the house. I could clean up a bit and cook, but I didn’t do too much and made sure i wasn’t lifting or pushing anything heavy. The third week I was back to normal. Are you having a laparoscopic surgery? That’s what I had.

      @@talenabell498 thank you so much for taking the time to reply and sharing with me. I’m sorry for what you’ve gone through as well, you’re a warrior 💕 my surgeon is a specialists who does cancer patients and endo and his specialty is doing the robotic surgery which I think might be the same thing but I’m not sure? He seems confident he can clean things up but my gyno was giving me mixed messages and saying he doesn’t think robotics will be successful and they will have to open me up. So I have one side confident (which surgeons seem to be in general) and then the other side of hesitation because the gyno says the MRI won’t show all the adhesions. So I don’t know how bad it will be when they get in but the recovery process doesn’t sound bad so that’s great. The recovery probably can’t feel worse than I do now lol I get severe flu symptoms every period. Body aches, headaches, fevers/sweats with the lower abdominal pain with heavy bleeding of course. So ready to change my life I’ve already started a different diet as well.

    • @talenabell498
      @talenabell498 3 роки тому +3

      @@BC-gu8vs of course, I’m glad to share. And you’re a warrior too love! 🤗 and yes the surgeries are about the same. When they do the robotic ones they only do a few small incisions so you will heal pretty quickly. My gyno didn’t realize how bad mine endo was either until they actually seen everything during the surgery. So even though mine was bad they were still able to clean everything out successfully. It can be the same with you! Anything is possible, just stay positive about it 💜. What’s crazy is that I didn’t really have severe symptoms like yours before. I only had the really bad cramps and the heavy flow. The only reason I finally figured out it was endo was when I randomly got really sick in September and was rushed to the ER. So if that never happened idk how long I’d be walking around not having a clue of what’s going on with my body. It’s INSANE what women go though!

    Thank you, this has been very helpful. My only problem with committing fully to the Endo diet is the amount of work that needs to be done in the kitchen. I have a full-time job, and barely have time for the gym, buy groceries, not to mention meet friends. So slaving in the kitchen for each meal or snack is just not an option. I feel like we live in times that are structured to make us ill. Why shouldn't there be healthy options that can be taken on the go? It's so frustrating and discouraging... Nevertheless, I'll try to incorporate most of the tips you've suggested in this video ❤

      if it's not in the fridge and pasteurized it most likely has all the good bacteria killed. Making your own is super easy but takes some time to prep. I think sugar and milk and caffein are pretty much no go. So yes definitely a lot to consider here but it will help in long run no doubt. Don’t take raw milk unless you want tuberculosis. Milk has to be pasteurized. I have severe endo and I can’t have milk unless it’s dairy free. As far as finding out if you have endo, find out sooner than later. I have been waiting for twenty years for someone to listen. I have that now but the robot is booked and tissue is literally coming out of my body every time I go to the bathroom. I have had blood transfusions from bleeding to death as a kid. No one believed me. I have iron infusions now. I can’t wait for surgery but I won’t know if it will help. I have injuries, fibro, arthritis. But I pray it does help and my life is greatly changed for the better. The pain travels throughout but is acute on the left side abdomen back leg and foot. No part of my body isn’t in excruciating pain though. I tried orlissa, made pain in abdomen better but pain in legs worse. I also use a walker on my worst days but it’s hard bc I have arm and hand issues now as well. I’m only 36.

      I had the worst period cramps and heavy bleeding. Only after cutting out carbs (pasta , rice bread, potatoes..) as well as sugar and diary , not only i lost some pounds (i think too much weight automatically means too much estrogen9 also i must have lost the estrogen. And had some cycles without heavy bleeding and without pain. Then i started eating curd cheese, everything went well. After a bad time i craved for apples and ate loads of them, i think this started in August and now 4 months later i´ve had the worst period cramps again. So sugar and carbs, starches as well because these are all the same..but maybe diary too, cause problems. And now i try my best to go without it again. If we only had no cravings.
      Hope to hear from you if you had the nerv to tr somthing out and what the outcome was. All th best ;)

    Hi Becky, I suspect that I either have endo, adeno or adhesions from my 2 sections. Anyways, I am getting rid of coffee and dairy. I have subsituted coffee with a hot drink mixed with cacao powder, almond milk, vanilla bean paste and rapadura sugar. Is this concoction ok for someone with those issues I listed? Thank you for your channel and information. I really appreciate it.

    Hi, Becky. After max 3 hours past morning, if I don't drink a cup of coffee as I wake up, I start throwing up and I tried to get past that critical point and got to day 3, at which point I was litterally blinded by migrane and couldn't eat from throwing up every other hour. And I gave up and drank a small cup of coffee but this way it realky isn't worth it. Do you have any tips on how to stop drinking coffee?

    • @beckyjane_lucas
      @beckyjane_lucas  3 роки тому +1

      Hey there! If you're really that reliant on it you can try making sure you have food in your stomach before having coffee or pairing your coffee with a fat and protein source (i will sometimes stir grass fed ghee and collagen through mine - makes it more creamy and doesn't affect taste). This will help the coffee be released more slowly and cause less of a stress response in the body. Form there you can start reducing the amount of coffee slowly (i.e 1/2 strength for a few weeks, then 1/4 strength for a few weeks, then decaff). Sounds like some liver support is needed to so might be best to find a natural health care practitioner in your area to support you.

      I recently quit coffee and the only way I could do it was to do it very slowly. I started buying decaf and using half the amount of decaf and mix it with the normal coffee for 1 week and then slowly use less and less real coffee and after 3 weeks I only drank decaf and now I don’t need any coffee anymore. It was hard at the beginning but it’s worth it.

I have decided to get off the pill at the end of 2022 and I am treating myself with several supplements including the ones you mentioned in one of your videos. What are your thoughts on soya? • @beckyjane_lucas

      I don't personally recommend soy just because it can go either way for woman and like you said the research is a little inconclusive. Plus most soy products are GMO so if you do consume it make sure its organic! That's great it's working for you though

      @@beckyjane_lucas a few weeks after stopping the birth control pill, my Endo started giving symptoms again like mild cramps at my lower belly and rectum but the most significant is the IBS. Constant belly bloating. As I cut most of the soy (only left the milk), the cramps at my lower belly and rectum disappeared making me think that maybe soy is not as good for Endro patients. The bloating remained and also the lower back pain which make me think that Endo is causing a general inflammatory status in the area of my pelvis that I am trying to treat with food and supplements.

    Do you know how much hydrogenated fat it takes for endo to regrow? I had my endo removed a month ago and last week I had a couple of really deep fried takeaways abs I’ve had pain ever since (corresponded with TOM but has persisted). Going to try anti inflammatory now. Are there still benefits if I REDUCE but don’t cut out dairy and gluten? Or does it have to be an everything goes scenario?

    • @beckyjane_lucas
      @beckyjane_lucas  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Laura, vitamin E can help mitigate some of the inflammatory damage caused by fried foods, but ultimately best to limit or avoid next time if it triggers pain. I think cutting down would be a great place to start, especially because it can be overwhelming to suddenly go cold turkey. Mainly focus on cutting out the processed sources of gluten and dairy, and stick to whole food sources. All the best!
