- You stumble upon one of the few residents in the city willing to open their doors on the night of the hunt, and who happens to know a bit about the history of what transpired.
Spoiler alert! For those who haven't played the game yet, there are a few things given away plot-wise, but I did try to avoid major spoilers. I wanted this video to be geared towards those who have played the game, and those who have never played it.
Bloodborne creator Hidetaka Miyazaki left much of the game's lore up to the imagination of the player, and he also drew inspiration from H. P. Lovecraft, two great things I love about this game. But this meant a lot of questions left unanswered and puzzle pieces I had to put together. So I spent about an hour or so each day over the few weeks leading up to this video trying to devour and memorize as much lore as possible that was theorized by various folks out on the internet who have bigger brains that me, including one individual who wrote a 90-page thesis here: bit.ly/1jBQgcR
In this video I had also planned to discuss some of the locations and enemies one would find and discover in the game, but this will be done in a future video as it's all just too much for one video, especially being an ASMR format.
Lastly, there is some weird interference or a possible technical issue with my microphone or recorder, as you may hear some strange static sounds occasionally throughout the video. I hope it isn't too bothersome, there's nothing I could do about it as I didn't realize it until after filming. Just use your imagination and pretend the Rift connection between Yharnam and current day Arkham Sanitarium is on the fritz. But believe me, it's no excuse and you deserve better, especially as fans of the game and Souls series.

What is ASMR?
In my subjective view, ASMR is 2 things: a sensation and a medium (like music for example).
The sensation itself (ASMR) stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response and is the current (non-scientific) name given to the feeling characterized as a pleasurable tingling sensation felt in the head, scalp, back and other regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand movements, whispering and personal attention.
ASMR videos, the medium, are not only meant to help induce the sensation or "tingles", but also help provide a relaxing, calming and soothing experience for the viewer while helping to relieve their anxiety, stress, headaches, insomnia, to help those suffering with PTSD or depression, to serve as a study aid and much more. It is quite therapeutic, for both the creator and recipient, not much different than the mediums of music and painting.
Many people who do not experience ASMR still enjoy the videos for their calming and sleepy affect.

You may be on to something. I fell asleep to this, then woke up and my first thought was "when did I go back to bed?". Not "when did I fall asleep?". Maybe you're right, and we just don't remember.

Mr. TeM people got addicted to the blood because it was a cure all and eventually brought out a primative blood lust and eventually transformed men into primative beasts.
nick Betroski yes and no, it was blood from a failed assended lovecraftian old god,it healed people of most issues as well as a new desiese that just happened to show up right before all the issues. some ppl go crazy some live for ever as hunters like the crow chick and some ascend like u can into a god.

@@famouswarrior327 you can get it if she dies. She (or another hunter of hunters) spawns sometimes fighting a npc hunter. I found her in the tomb of oedon and the hunter she was fighting actually killed her lmfao. I found her outfit in the shop fountain thing in the hunters dream right afterwards.
i was wondering why he moved so strangely, but then i noticed the eye wrapping and realised he was cosplaying a blind yharnamite, which implies he has known knowledge of the great ones
I'm trying to peer thru the shade of his hat, and it looks to me like the white wrapping only covers his left eye? And it seems like he has some ability to see what's around him. I haven't played the game, what would half-blindness imply about his knowledge of the great ones?
@@cassiopeiasfire6457 So it’s not necessarily knowledge that the blinds imply but rather forced beasthood by the Church. If you’ll notice the only NPCs with face wrappings that we see are Gascoigne, Amelia, the Vagrant, and Simon who all have connections to the church, and some pretty high up ones at that. A leading theory is that high ranking members underwent a “forced” beasthood ceremony that involved opening up the skull.

Torn/gouged out eyes are usually symbolism for having seen something unknowable or horrific, going back to Oedipus in which he tore his eyes out after uh... well you know. In bloodborne i believe its implied that those who have seen the great ones or glimpsed the eldritch truth have gone mad and blind themselves as some form of relief or just from being insane. Eyes also play a big part in the story, as one of the themes is trying to get one of the great ones to "Grant us eyes on the inside"

Well, truthfully, no. Corvo can't wield large weapons like the hunters do, and his techniques are meant for assasination, not for beasts. As a hunter of hunters however, He'd probably be the best.
Hmm I see what you mean, however he has the agility of a hunter already, and his runes give him many advantages other hunters are not privy to, such as slow/stop time which makes him a parry god so I still think he has the potential to become a great hunter if he learnt to wield a bigger blade.
R0gue N3rd He'd have to learn a hunter specific weapon, yeah. You can't hope to deal damage with a knife, to the cleric beast for example. But the hunters also have skills that he doesn't such as being able to summon Ebrietas's tentacles, and I'm almost certain that corvo wont be able to take a direct hit from most of the beasts. Not sure about that one though. Though I think his agility is even greater than a hunters, so if put against a hunter, I'm pretty sure Corvo would win every time, but I still think that he's not too good against beasts.
Emotionally Conflicted Fair point, the cleric beast wouldn't even use his blade as a tooth pick but again, one can learn to use better equipment. And yes Corvo would not be able to take a hit from the tentacles but if he's doing his job he won't get hit at all.
In conclusion I think we can agree that he'd be a great hunter of hunters and potentially a great beast hunter if he had training with the a trick weapon otherwise yeah he'd be a bit screwed, this has been a fun discussion and maybe things will change after Dishonered 2 comes out :)

Do a polar express roleplay as the dude who collects tickets ( Christmasy)
Do a interrogation/psych evaluation of the viewer using marget, and all 3 Clemons brothers.
Do something superhero related, maybe be a secret persona of a green lantern we don't know about or anyone else.
Do a rhino asmr but as in rhino from spiderman.

When the inside of the bowl comes into frame, you can kinda see it's a little murky. Maybe it's broth or something? Still, not very pleasant to soak bread in.

I am so glad you did this video, I often come back to this one because its so relaxing and because I am too obsessed with Bloodborne (honestly its a filthy habit). Imagine your going door to door looking for secrets and you come across this man but it is an unskippable cutscene, the man doesnt offer too much in rewards but it does give lore to the story and fleshes it out more.
I had to watch this twice to get through till the end and realize how finely crafted this video is. The props, scene and lighting set up, acting, the whole atmosphere!...are perfect. I'm so happy that UA-cam suggested this channel to me a few months ago. Your videos made me to start reading HP Lovecraft as well.

Just the sheer amount of passion and detail put into this production is astounding while also trying to make it sleep inducing. I'm not sure about any of your fans Uncle E but I for one can't fall asleep to your videos and I say that with the utmost respect. This Channel is pretty much the best ASMR channel on youtube to me. the effort, the creativity, constant top content delivering, and always good asmr. and then there are channels with no creativity, no variety and just bad asmr.. loud noises, impatient, hectic and no script or something just randomness. and they have the same or even more likes, views, subs etc. idk... well there are boobs usually... guess thats it.

Ps: Great job on the video ER! I loved the BloodBorne as well as the Dark Souls series and I can appreciate the amount of research that you did over the last few weeks trying to piece together the lore of the game for this video so two big thumbs up from me! :)
+victor reznov well you'd be surprised what a wig and a bit of acting can do (aka Margaret) honestly I think ER can pull it off as long as he feels as though he himself can perform well as that character and make it feel natural to the audience but I guess we'll have to see :)

One thing I thought would be pretty thematic for your channel would be the early Silent Hill games.
The entire town was a state of mind where people were drawn in to face their own demons, come to terms with their torments or be forever swallowed by them. It would show them the horror of their own self persecution, the ugliness of their own conviction and by fighting it, you were literally resisting every facet of yourself which sought condemn you.
I just felt for a channel which works with ASMR and has strong ties to the lore of HP lovecraft that this would be a natural fit, I hope you have a looksee and enjoy immersing yourself in the lore.
And keep up the good work, the quality of the videos keeps improving as I watch the older playlists and transition into the recent sessions of today.
You honestly should do a Dark Souls or Demon’s Souls ASMR video. Maybe Solaire or Siegmeyer. Idk, it’s up to you.
You should do another of these! Maybe on a more specific topic or location inside of the lore. Bloodbornes lore just seems to fit the feel of this channel very well.
