Looks like I will return it, got it on prime day for $515 Not really helpful for the vehicles I have and it gave the same codes my $25 scanner gave. Good for a mechanic but I do simpler maintenance
Yes, of course the codes will be the same as any other scanner. The scanner does not create the codes, the vehicle does. This scanner will also show every live data PID your car has to offer, where your 25 dollar scanner only shows a small handful of live data PIDs, if any at all. This scanner will scan ANY module in your vehicle and display the codes. A 25 dollar scanner typically only scans for engine codes and ignores codes from all other modules. This scanner offers many service functions that 25 dollar scanners (typically) do not offer. Im not saying you shouldn't return this scanner, that is totally up to you.... but to compare this scanner with your 25 dollar scanner is NOT a fair comparison. This scanner does far more than a 25 dollar scanner..... if YOU dont need any of that extra functionality that is completely understandable. Thanks for the comment.
@brianok100 only good thing I found about it so far is that it searches the codes directly to a web search. Would of kept it if it could relearn TPMS but Autel has a separate scanner/tool for that. Hi, you can find more information about these two OBDII scanners by visiting these websites: MK808 www.obdadvisor.com/autel-maxicom-mk808bt/ and MX808 www.obdadvisor.com/autel-mx808-review/ Hope this will help you!
nothing both are the same just one is internet name and other not.
Can it read service engine sone code?
I'm not sure what "sone" codes are, but this scanner should read ANY code that your vehicle produces.

Looks like I will return it, got it on prime day for $515
Not really helpful for the vehicles I have
and it gave the same codes my $25 scanner gave.
It's an okay scanner but theres others that have more functionality and worth the extra $$$ or just go with others that are cheaper
Thanks for your reply
Menu is great... too bad half the stuff doesn't work
Just because the scanner is capable of some functions, doesn't mean the vehicle you're working on supports them.
That's a damn lie. Those systems function fine with other scanners. Don't tell me it's not supported!!
@@wag1492 I'm not telling you anything, for certain. I have no idea what make and model or function you're talking about. I was speaking only in general terms..... if you don't like autel scanners, don't watch the video. I am not a professional mechanic, nor do I work for autel. However, I can tell you that everything I tried to do with the scanner has worked fine.
Well.. I am a professional mechanic. I would love to not watch however youtube insists I do.. too bad when you thumbs down something, it continues to pop up. Flaw in you tube algorithm
@@wag1492
Just because a video appears in your suggested feed doesn't mean you HAVE to watch it. But thanks for the view and the thumbs down..... even a thumbs-down helps a video. And that's not a flaw in the algorithm, it is by design.
