Got on of these 6 months ago. Did loads of research before buying it and decided it was the best all rounder (I have 9 cars) by far and convenience of it being BT. Only £500 as well!
Can i ask did you get this from autel . Only reason i ask i have the ms 906 .autel told me that the mk version are imports and there is no support when problems and issues with the machine with them as there are a Chinese inport
@@chucky2316like all expensive purchases I like to research to the hilt beforehand. If you look at some of the UA-cam reviews for the 808 model you'll find that Autel turns them into a paperweight X number of days after the subscription lapses to the point where you can't even do a scan. That's why there are guides on how to do a backup and restore on these units as it's the only way to buy you a little more time. I've no doubt that Autel use the same practice for this new model as it replaces the 808.
I’ve a few diagnostic tools and tbh, I’m still looking for “the one”. I bought a topdon dongle (based on a previous review by Jimmy last year) and it was handy to keep in the car in case a fault came up. However once the initial 12 months passed, it stopped working unless I stumped up another fifty quid to renew the licence. So that is now a useless paperweight. I’ve a Mucar (also recommended by Jimmy) that is ok but very basic. I’ve also got a Launch Crp 129 that tbh is painfully slow and frustrating to use. So I’m still looking for a good diagnostic machine for a fairly competent diy mechanic that will last me a few years and not stop working when the manufacturer wants another few hundred to upgrade the software.
Completely off topic but would appreciate the help. 2019 Traffic 1.6 DCI not using Ad Blue or self regenerating. Noticed on test drive the coolant temp does not pass 78 deg. Is that normal on those vans or should it be getting closer to 90? (Only way i can get to 90 is holding revs at 3k on idle) Thanks in advance 👌
I'm not sure about Autel these days. You did your best to promote it, but something seems to be missing. It couldn't even read a Peugeot the other day! You need to do a review on Topdon or some other equipment that's coming through now.
@@Codebreaker4981 it struggled because didn’t knew how to read it. On some vehicles it wouldn’t detect automatically as it could be Peugeot/Citroen/Renault etc. that’s why you need to do that manually. But it definitely reads and everything on all makes and models.
@AutoTune-l1l I'll give it a bash. I did have the DS708 and thought it was pretty decent at the time. I need to invest in new equipment, so a little more research is needed. 👍👍
Hi jimmy , do you have dpf videos on MB v class? i have a P246364 code , and tried lauch and autel scanner teach in process and it doesnt reset the soot content "101%" "8,1"
@@ORileysAutos cheers. Seems to be the tricky vehicle. Wont auto detect on most of them as the car it is, and then if it does let you select manually, some of the features are usually not going to work. Its a right pain in the nips.
@@BReynolds-n3n it was peugeot citreon 2017 to 2021, and been stelantis since 2021. The vauxhall/opels between 17 and 21 seem to throw up a lot of problems with scan tools.

For the money its not a bad tool but as you know pay more money the better the tool .
What’s difference to the other models
the more diagnostic tools you show the better launch one looks...
I wouldn’t say so when it comes to Autel.

Everyone needs to do their research with what happens when the subscription lapses on these
What happens it still works doesn't it, I've always liked foxwell products I have a launch creader

It works as it did until update’s subscription expired.

Giving a U.S link may result in being stung for customs charges. Not a bad tool, looks like screen needs calibrating though
If only I was lucky enough to a a decent diagnostic tool 😂
I would save hundreds with all my problems

It definitely reads Peugeot.
@AutoTune-l1l it struggled on the previous video! 🤔

@ l use MaxiPRO MP808BT every single day for over 2 years now. It does everything.
I would fancy to upgrade to MS906 PRO or Elite ll.

But can it do 2018 vauxhalls onwards?
I'll check soon
Yes, they have recently had an update to do GM (which is vauxhall) upto 2024.

It can do 2024 Vauxhalls
Launch elite pro everyday .or the cheaper thinktool mini .
Autel works way more flawlessly than Launch Elite. Had both tolls side by side different make yokes and jobs.
Decent tool Jimmy 👍
Great review as always ☘️☘️☘️ Niall
Hahaha. The chinese pay good money...
I own one and my advise is Stay away from them...
