      Hi, I have the "No Restart Incorrect DEF Fluid" issue; barely made it home, would not restart once car shut down fully. Do you think this unit is the way to go for getting out of this? I've since drained & flushed DEF, cleaned DEF injector/doser, just hoping for a fix before heading to LR dealer.

    I bought the 808BT, and my yearly subscription is 150. The only thing different i see is the pre - and post scan. However, I do prescan and post scans. I don't mind the 7 inch screen as it's perfect to place between steering wheel and dash. Bidirectional and 42 resets are plenty .

However, I have both 808Z-BT, and the 808Z-TS and they are he exact same scan tools except one has TPMS capability. So, with that said, having the 900Z-BT and knowing just how good it is, I already know the 900-TS will be just as great but with the addition of full TPMS capabilities. @@SlipFitGarage On MaxiPro MP900-TS there is no support for Autel BLE Sensor, preprogrammed for Tesla vehicles. But it has Support for : Pre&Post Scan and is Compatible with Autel BT506 battery tester/ MV108 witch is what i was looking for. So because no BLE Support - No go for me. Also it maybe cheaper to get from Amazon but if something goes down, there is no support from Us Autel Dealers.

    you did the last scan under license plate instead of vin. I have the Otofix D1 Pro (also Autel) and scanning works fine there. maybe it will help keep the camera quieter

    • @SlipFitGarage
      @SlipFitGarage  10 місяців тому

      Actually, if you watch it again, I toggled through both options. I tried this many, MANY times off camera and it barely works on this particular device. In fact, I was lucky to capture what I did. There were countless network pop-ups.... when there is nothing wrong with the network on my end. I tried making that portion of the video for several days. The video should've been released last Sunday but the scan tool would not cooperate. lol. I also have the Otofix D1 Pro but I've never tried the plate/vin scan on that tool. In fact, I really can't see myself using that feature in a real world working environment..... especially when the "auto VIN" feature works 99% of the time, every time. In my opinion, the plate/vin scan software is just extra fluff. The scan tool is terrific when used as a scan tool. One of the best on the market.... the "extra" software is just a novelty, in my opinion. I'm not sure what you mean about keeping the camera "quieter" because there was very little background noise where I was filming. If you mean "more steady", well, that is the best I can do. If the feature doesn't work unless the conditions are absolutely perfect, then the feature is no good. It's unrealistic to expect working conditions to be absolutely perfect every time a scan tool is being used.... especially in the auto repair business. Don't get me wrong, I love the scant tool. Like I said, it's one of the best on the market.... but that particular feature is not perfected yet. They will get it fixed. I have been dealing with Autel tech support for the last week so I know they're working on this issue. Thanks for the comment.

    hello, waiting on getting this tool and will definitely would appreciate a video on how to download the android print server for this tool to find my printer. Good video!

    • @SlipFitGarage
      @SlipFitGarage  8 місяців тому

      Hi, I can certainly make that video but I probably won't be before your new scan tool is delivered. It's possible that you won't have any trouble finding your printer with the included (pre-installed) print server. However, if you do, use the factory installed web browser (this is an Android tablet, after all) and search the internet for a print server that works with your printer, download that APK file, once downloaded click on that file and it should ask if you want this software installed, click yes.... and the print server software should be installed. Or, you can use a laptop/desktop computer to search for the print server and download it onto a USB thumb drive, then transfer the thumb drive to the Android tablet (scan tool) and install the print server from the USB thumb drive. You will probably have to use the ES File Explorer app to navigate the file structure on the scan tool. I hope this helps. A video from me on how to do this is at least a month or more away. I have several other videos already in the works that will come before a print server "How-To" video. Thanks for the comment.

      @SlipFitGarage  5 місяців тому +1

      I agree.... and I let Autel know that, too. I think Autel feels like they are the superior scan tool manufacturer so therefore they can charge more for the same features as everyone else. In my opinion, Autel is the best import scan tool, but for the average user pretty much any brand will serve them well these days. The scan tool world is so competitive now that all brands have come a long way. Buy whatever tool that satisfies your wants and needs and I suspect you'll be very happy. Thanks for the comment.

    • @SlipFitGarage
      @SlipFitGarage  6 місяців тому

      Sorry, I do not have a 906BT to compare with. However, your 906 PROBABLY runs an older version of Android, has a slower (older) processor, less RAM, etc... The newer Autel scan tools come with (very limited) ECU coding features, pre-instaled battery tester app, and VAG guided functions, etc... Again, I don't own a 906 so don't hold me to any of this. Thanks for the question

It's hard for me to recommend one over the other. I really try to show the details that matter the most to people when making a decision of which scan tool they should buy. Both of these scan tools are excellent. You can't go wrong with either one. What matters more to you.... having a kickstand, or having two years of free updates? There's your answer.

    • @SlipFitGarage
      @SlipFitGarage  8 місяців тому +1

      Unfortunately I don't have a good answer for you. I've only tried connecting to an OBD1 vehicle with my Autel scan tools one time and it did not work. I have no other experience trying to use a modern scan tool with an OBD1 vehicle. However, I do know, there is not much info in an OBD1 computer. It's nothing like looking at an OBD2 vehicle. There is only a small number of trouble codes, and even less live data PIDs. You can usually "jump" two of the contact points in the data port on the vehicle to make the check engine light blink, which when the blinks are counted, will give you the trouble codes. If you really need a scan tool to view OBD1 data, I recommend trying to buy an old Snap-on MT-2500 scanner from ebay. It's been 28 years since the last OBD1 vehicle rolled of the assembly line here in the US..... I don't know of any scan tool manufacturers that have put much thought or effort into keeping their tools OBD1 compatible. Yes, I realize they sell scan tool kits with a bunch of adapters but keep in mind, these aftermarket scan tools are designed to work on make/models all over the world.... and the OBD2 "standard" is only required by law for vehicles that are sold inside the United States. I always wondered if some (most) of those adapters were intended for working on cars in foreign countries where "OBD2" is not the legally required standard? I honestly don't know. I've never worked on vehicles in a different country. I wish I had a better solution for you but unfortunately I do not. Thanks.

I noticed in your scan of your 2006 GM the radio had approx 3 codes, was the MP900Z-BT able to clear those codes? I tried to unlock the radio with the Autel MX900 but it didn't have "Radio setup" in the 'Special Functions." My Autel 908 is a few months shy of 5 years old. Sure, it's out of date because I never purchased additional updates, but it still works perfect like the day it was new. Everyone has their own experience with an given product.... I have used (and currently own) Autel, Otofix, Xtool, Topdon, and Launch, and I have multiple models from each brand.... They are ALL made in China and they ALL have their pros and cons. I'm not saying it can't happen, but I haven't experienced any of those problems YET on any of the 7 or 8 Autel scan tools that I've had in the last 5 years. Sorry you've had so much trouble.

    That Vin Scan feature is so redundant. A better option would be auto detect Vin which would be much faster and more efficient. For a $1000 dollar and not have that auto Vin detector kind of making it not worth the price tag.

    • @SlipFitGarage
      @SlipFitGarage  7 місяців тому

      It does have Auto VIN. Autel scan tools have had Auto VIN for many years now. The reason why I highlighted the VIN scan feature is because that is what they asked me to concentrate on in this video. I agree, I strictly use auto VIN and it works great. I have no reason to use any other type of detection.

    $1100,00 or €2424,00 for one year to buy a 900 BT and afther that year $600,00 or €1322,00 for one year of updates

      @SlipFitGarage  8 місяців тому +1

      I agree.... However, that is kinda the point, and that is exactly how they (scan tool manufacturers) want you to think. Scan tool companies would rather sell new scan tools, instead of software updates.
