My son is 25 on the Autism spectrum and recently diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and long segment Hirschsprung’s disease at birth. He, like Bella had multiple surgeries and is a trooper through it all. He has been suffering from obstructions from the multiple surgeries so we continue to search for relief. I am a medical mom with a full time job and I applaud you mom, and those alike, keep up the good work. Thanks for the reminder of hope.

Let’s go Bella. I am 24 and was diagnosed w hirschsprungs as a newborn. Have no large intestine and have 75% of my small intestine. Lots of bowel movements to this day and it is still a challenge for me to get through the night w no accidents. Another struggle for me is staying hydrated and watching my diet. Have to constantly drink water and eat healthy or I will end up feeling sick or lethargic. Started taking a B12 pill to help with energy levels and that has worked. Liquid iv water has also helped my stay hydrated. Tough life, but if you drink a ton of water water everyday and eat the right foods then you should feel fine.
