Mate you are a legend! Can you talk about people who abuse the system like lying to get a property. It will be good to know how housing filter out those who lie to those who are in need. Keep it up the good work.
I didn't want to write our circumstances, but I'm desperate. My hubby and I are so depressed. We have lived in the UK all our lives, always worked and paid taxes etc, and then this is how we get tret, uts appalling isn't it. God bless and I hope you get good news very soon 🙏
Just FYI... I am currently being moved from a B&B to a housing association run hostel, I was advised that I would be required to pay a 1 week advance rental payment to the housing association for this... my housing officer did mention, "just between us" that the council will pay this on my behalf. Just letting others know should they be in a similar situation and not have been made aware that the council will indeed pay this advance rent. I must say it was disappointing that my housing officer felt the need to try and encourage me to hide this from others, if the funds are there for people then why try and hide this? Unfortunately for them I have posted it on UA-cam for anyone to see.
Hi Lee, the council will have different budgets they can draw from for these type of costs, it actually saves them money to do this. Do you know what kind of license / tenancy you will have there? Btw, i'm delivering training to a team in Southampton today, I'm going to ask them if they know of any decent homelessness support services in Dorset. Will let you know.
I moved to Liverpool from Birmingham. I’ve got a job now in Liverpool but I got scammed by a landlord because I would’ve had a flat so I’m just waiting for a decision. Fingers crossed 🤞
Hello Mike, I'm soon to be divorced and a council tenant at the moment. Both of our names are on a tenancy agreement. Would I be classified as a priority need once my name is removed from the tenancy agreement? And if not what can I do to be re houseed?
I am planning to do some videos that would be relevant, but you need to get competent advice - unless there is abuse involved legally you would be expected to continue to live with your ex-partner (which I realise is crazy but that's the way the law still stands), so you need to get advice on how you go about getting off the tenancy without making yourself intentionally homeless - either way your best bet may well be to pursue private rented accommodation in the short term.
Thank you for providing such a great resource of information. It is much needed 👍
Thanks Starsmiley111, hopefully it's helpful.

Hi Mr Sprinks, good question, i'll try to do a video on this in the next couple of weeks.

Hi, is there anyway that I can please contact you directly to get advise?
I don’t want to write in the public comments section.
Thank you!

In that circumstance Spooky you shouldn't be found intentionally homeless (just in case they try saying that).
@@homelessnessbestpractice thank you 👍
Can i apply for help if i get custody of children via court and have nowhere to house them? Is there a issue of you work full time?
