    Hannibal's interviews are more entertaining than WWE RAW. Good stuff, I wish a tv network would sign Hannibal to travel all over the world to catch up with pro wrestlers from times past. The show would be a hit.

    As a kid, I thought HBJ was an afterthought. I dismissed him as a corny sideshow guy. As an adult, I respect his work in the business and consider him to be one of the best shoot interviewees ever. Keep them coming please! I will listen as long a Jim wants to talk.

      He looks like a cool person, but even as a kid, I realized he wasn't as talented as Savage, Dibiase, Steamboat , guys like that. I used to love watching the smaller guys, cause those were the guys that could work. I too, thought HBJ was meh. As a person though, he looks like he has a heart of gold. Very close to the actual HBJ character.

    I always felt like they should have given Big John Studd and King Kong Bundy a better push as a tag team. They should have held the belts at least once.

    One thing I heard about Big John Studd is that he pissed off Andre the Giant by copying Andre’s entrance into the ring (namely the act of bending the top rope to step over it into the squared circle). In some ways, I can understand Andre’s point of view but I also get the impression his reaction was a hint overboard.

    • @DaDitka
      @DaDitka 7 місяців тому

      I could be full of it, but I was under the impression that Studd was ordered by McMahon to step over the top rope. If this is true, then Studd was in a quandary. He could either disobey the one who signed his paychecks, or he could make arguably the most influential wrestler of that era mad.
      What do you do in a case like that?
      And I do agree, I think Andre was being a bit childish when he told Studd to not go over the top rope. Plus, I never heard Andre get mad at Hillbilly Jim for doing the same thing. I honestly wonder why.

She pioneered woman's wrestling. I could go on and on, but you get the picture. I don't remember the specifics about Bruno, but with The Warrior , they wanted to put out a new DVD with him and having him at the HOF was a good marketing tool for them. So many guys deserve to be there are not. Instead they got mid card guys and other jokesters. Even King Kong Bundy (rip) said in a shoot that he'll never be in the HOF because he had a falling out with Vince. So its very obvious that its politics BS.
