The hearing loss was the most surprising
His love of Sesame st. also started a lifelong obsession with puppets. Also he is the sweetest and most enthusiastic person you will ever meet, and loved listening to people gush about their projects and respond with just as much excitement for it as they have.
That he has a UA-cam channel. I never knew that.
"I reject your reality and substitute my own!" That's my all-time favorite Adam Savage quote.
I have had a t-shirt from that show with that quote for years.
It ranks right up there with:
"Am I missing ... an eyebrow?"
I like his Jamie the Walrus impersonations but I can't think of a specific line right now.

People always mention that he and Jamie dont like each other and usually think that is a defining aspect of their relationship, but two people capable of doing something like mythbusters, a TV show that ran for 15 years and it is still relevant, I believe it is because they made a magnificent team and had a lot of chemistry together. I like both, and really enjoy mythbusters.

Adam is fantastic. The same enthusiasm he has on camera is 100% present off camera. Hands down one of the most likeable and inspiring people I can think of.

I don't think so and that remake ain't nearly as crappy as you think it is. It ain't as good as the original, but it ain't a piece shit never. I've seen it and it's an okay show.
There is Mythbusters Jr., which is being co-hosted by Adam. It premiers January 2nd.
He and Hyneman were also in a slip on CSI: Crime Scene Invesitgation for the Flammable Flannel
My wife and I attended the 2018 Silicon Valley Comic Con. It was great meeting him. The most important thing I learned from Mythbusters is that it is OK to make mistakes but as long as I learn from them.

Yeah, my son met him once at a Mythbuster's show and said he was a jerk. Jamie was however very nice. Of course everyone can have a bad day, so not reading too much into it. He is human like the rest of us.

Hello. I absolutely loved the MythBusters 💗and although I liked them both Adam was my favorite one. I knew nothing about him. He sure have some exciting life and I hope I'll see him again on TV. Thanks 👍😀

I sooo miss that show.....by the way, don't reduce The Mythbusters to just explosions...You have got to be kidding me.......Weren't you actually watching ? Jeez Louise, robotics, miniatures, engineering, metal working and on and on I could go..Sure explosions are pretty cool, in extreme slow mo, but the entire show is a total education...Thanks for all the memories Mythbusters...Not forgetting Robert Lee, the narrator, what a wonderful narrator he was...saw a couple of shows which had someone else do it, and that was shockingly bad...So in my book, he is the un-seen Mythbuster.....So very very entertaining, which is largely in the delivery....Just a wonderful show...
he also played a brief Cameo in the hit show called 'The Expanse' great show, I highly recommend it if you are looking for a realistic space and action packed show. with actual intelligence.
Regarding leverage you should also have mentioned his cameo in The Expanse where thanks to some cool green screening he gets killed by the proto molecule.

The best thing is that he seems to be a nice human being and he talks about being kind to one another on Tested all the time.

I learned from the comments below A. Savage had a cameo in "The Expanse" and died in a cool way. The first pined comment asks "What's the coolest thing you learned about Adam Savage?" and the responses about him being in "The Expanse" seem angry?
The part I had a contention with is J. Hyneman and A. Savage being the most contentious pair on TV. The first one that comes to my mind is Siskel and Ebert

The best duos often arent "friends" as such.. Simon and Garfunkel, Siskle and Ebert, Penn and Teller. For great work to be made sometimes it's all about having someone you respect who will challenge you.
I love how they had respect for eachother even though they didnt get along as friends. They acted like true adults. No drama bullshit to push up ratings

Their relationship always struck me as that person you hang with at work or school because you both go there. Obviously not friends but amicably passing
I died right on top of the "Human Zone" sign on the floor of the first Zombie Special. If you eve r see it, I'm wearing a long sleeved orange shirt.
Adam is one my favorite actors and more importantly engineer. Brains and talent. Thanks for all the entertainment. Of course blowing things up vicariously is safe and wonderful. Model rockets has led a lot of us in cool directions. Being an engineering geek let to me ultimately becoming a doctor and I saved a lot of people and gave away a lot of care. The biggest thing I ever blew up, in vietnam involved over 100 sticks of military dynamite. No body was ever harmed. Still it took me a full day to set that up and a full few micro seconds to make go away. I wish Adam and the whole crew the absolute best. They have already lost at least 2 now. It is not that they are celebrities that is important. They are engineering stars and entertainment professionals. More importantly they are undocumented people who help get our children interested in science and the absolute importance of a good education all the while having fun. I salute them.Dr. Kipping "We must entertain our selves. "

adam savage is one of my favorite people of all time. i saw him in brain candy live about a year ago. he was a hilarious guy, and even got to see a few unscripted moments where he appologized to the audience for accidentally hitting a stage light more than once with a cart.

I'm surprised you didn't mention that Adam was doing the Special Effects for the crash of the Mjöllnir in Matrix: Revolutions. Although SE of the Matrix Franchise relied heavily on CGI, that crash was made by use of a model - a model which weighed almost a metric ton.
I too have congenital hearing loss... It sucks..

It is a point to make the man is brilliant, the two of them together extraordinary myth busters is a big favorite of mine so what they did not get along on the famous legal of things they still were professional and the show they produce was the notch I miss them both both of them being very smart and sure as scientists as mad as they often seemed was great and very provocative indeed

I love his jubilant and excitement he like 2 year old on a sugar rush on TV which makes me laugh I love the science of the show, I love his interaction with Jamie because Jamie is so stoic and detail oriented and Adam just goes for it. I miss the show being one but I love those characters I love those people
