Louis TheEleventh illegal in the USA. You can get in some deep crap for carrying those. I don't know if they are illegal to own. I think each state is a little different.
datex8 Its true :) Though from an engineering perspective some people might get frustrated by his relatively sloppy craftmanship - of which may be partly due to hastened crafting for the purpose of showing the full process in a single short video and a limited amount of time to spend on it.
yeah but don't zap him with electricity if you watch his reaction to Grant, Tory and Kari, I don't think I'd want to be on the receiving end of what was said later that being said, he still has a LOT of cool stuff and some great stories

My mom, as well as my aunt and at least two first cousins (her daughters; dad's side). Making the world a better place *really does* run in Adam's genes... No, he indeed may not be doing so in the same capacity as his grandfather has... but what Adam is, is an exemplary human being! Not only that, but his contributions to Mythbusters and everything since, when all combined, _definitely_ qualify him as making our lives better! ☺️
My grandfather has one of those peper grinder calculators!! Ive played with it for years and never knew what it was until I saw this episode. He passed away a few years afo and I never got a chance to ask him what it was and I live a long ways away so I wasnt able to research it. Thats amazing that I figured out what it was after all these years from watching an impulse watch on a youtube video. If anyone from Tested reads this, thank you so much. Yall have unknowingly helped seal a very good memory. ~Cheers
+Alex Smith No that was actually a pepper grinder you played with! LOL Just kidding! I know someone who has one of those pepper grinder computers/calculator and I had no clue what it was until I saw this video.
I love how Norm always looks like he nervously wants to touch everything but is too hesitant to actually do it lol. He's gotten so much better as a host over the years since these videos
Just the way he constantly points at shit bugs the living fuck out of me. And he's stiff as a slab of mdf. Loosen up, stop fucking rigidly pointing, and stop trying to complete peoples sentences, huge pet peeves after watching him.
+deathStixxx aahahaha my bad bro. It gets on my nerves so bad, I mean I like the kid and everything, and of course I'm envious that he spends so much time with the most interesting man in the world, but geez man bring the awkwardness down a little 😂
That was a lie to not reveal how they actually found out about it. We know for a fact that the NSA does intercept all electronic communication and computer algorithms will react to certain words and phrases which then gets the audio or text set aside for closer inspection by a human. This was revealed by the Australian government in the late 1990s when they admitted to being a part of the US program called Echelon that intercepted all electronic communications in the world. When that story came out they changed the name to TIA (Total Informational Awareness) which they thought sounded less ominous than Echelon. Every year since then I hear one or two stories of a suspect of some non-terrorist crime being set free because it turns out the DEA or FBI or state police got an initial tip from the NSA and they could not adequately fabricate a reason for making the arrest or seizures that they then make based on the illegally obtained information. Probably hundreds of people a year do get convicted based off of such illegally obtained information but they find or manufacture enough other evidence before making the arrest so we never find out about the illegal wiretapping at all in those cases.
Amazing adam, i collect model cars and figures and i am 26, my girlfriend and friends sometimes tell me im too old for that, but i just brush those comments off, i love what i collect and i respect what you do, i love it!
Adams' passion is addicting. Thank You Adam for making me feel normal about my fascination with "stuff"...it makes life more interesting when you are passionate about collectibles. I'm more into historical militaria as well as vintage toys but clearly you understand the passion. Even when I'm building models I'm engrossed in the history. I've always had this even as a child when I'd make my own WW2 aircraft carriers from cardboard. I'm an Engineer (Electrical)....but I'd so wished I'd have been able to find a way into a career that was all about creativity- you have all that. It's awesome that you've been able to unite your vocation with your avocation. Such a cool look at "your stuff" and thanks for sharing. So cool that you love your stuff and that "escape" from the mundane.
Constantine was great. So underrated movie. Watched it dozens of times, but do not really understand why it captivates me so much... Great tour! Thanks!
Constantine is one of the best films of that genre for sure. Just so close to perfect that it seems impossible for the scenes and shots that make up the story to come together that well.
David Charles Adam was a model/prop-maker at Industrial Light and Magic, he hasn't had anything to do with *costumes* for any movie. I don't know where that Oscar is from, but he did not win it and it is most likely a replica.
+Jacob Vivianne Mellbin Not true actually. After the 1950's, the Academy started making winners sign an agreement that they or their heirs could not sell their Oscar without first offering it back to the Academy for the paltry sum of $1. And any original Oscar pre-1950's is going to be extremely expensive if it ever goes up for sale.
He has an episode where he talks about the Oscar and how he obtained it, he didn’t make Star Wars costumes but did make models for episode one at ILM and none of his ships that he designed made it into the move.
I love that story about the Thermal Detonator. Just imagine some old lady getting a voicemail message saying "Hey, I should have the thermal detonator done is a couple of weeks." and thinking they're terrorists or something, just for the FBI to look it up and find out it's just some sweet nerdy stuff going on.
Pretty much everything he spoke of in this video can be found through the rpf, etsy, or shapeways. So there you go you now have most of Adam's contacts, or where he gets his stuff.
Steven Blue *You're. And uh, doing something about it is not exclusive of watching inspiring UA-cam videos. Besides, what right do you have to say I'm not trying hard? Last I knew, you don't know me.

Thought those looked like Harsey knives when I saw the sheaths and handles. I love his designs, especially the collaborations with Spartan Blades. Very cool to hear Adam is friends with Bill, he's a legend in the knife community.
Notwithstanding all the fabulous artifacts in the room the most interesting thing to me was the old hot water radiator. That gives me additional insight into Adams life.
