Underrated part of this scene is how Susan reads the rulebook intensely like its going to have a resolution.
I agree, some fine scene work.
EXACTLY. I know Jason Alexander didn't like working with her... but they were a good, annoying TV couple.
Yes, I've always felt that she did great work in this scene, regardless of what Jason Alexander thinks. Her furrowed brow when she first hears "moops" and then her quick delving in the rulebook are great acting moves. Jason should shut his piehole.
@@blipperUT
He didn't like working with her?
Her darting eyes near the end are pure gold as well.
My favourite part is the way George says "Oh no"
Just like Alex Trebec
@@chrisstian5729 Ohhhh NOO
When my wife and I lived in France, we spent a holiday in Ronda, Spain. While there, we came across a sign titled “THE HISTORY OF THE MOORS”. My wife placed her finger as to cover the angled stem of the “R”, therefore rendering the sign to read “THE HISTORY OF THE MOOPS”. Took the picture, and now we forever have documented proof that George was right all along.
HAHAHA!!!!
Brilliant!
You sir, win the Internet.
This story is funnier than the episode itself
Fun fact: This scene was based on an actual misprint of Trivial Pursuit.
Jeopardy, actually. But close enough!
Susan's eyes during, "Moops!" - "Moors!"
"How you doing over there!? Not too good!!" That always makes me laugh!!
Bubble beta: “ITS NOT THE MOOPS, ITS THE MOORS!!!!!”
Chadstanza: “says Moops right here.”

Laughed out loud at that one... :)
0:27 I like the mischievous look on his face the second time he says “the Moops” as in a look of how he’s sticking it to him.
My brother and I watched it when it originally aired. To this day we say "oh no...!" like George says it here.
Thats my favorite part lol

Just watched this after visiting Gpanada with the famous castle Alhambpa built by the Moops.
Cute peply😉
I hope you didn't get sunbupned
Undeppated comment.
One of the best scenes of the entire series
Naw, this is after the writing started getting worse and setups became more implausible and over-the-top.
@@sgt.thundercok4704I love it when they got over the top. It’s like watching the Seinfeld world descend into total surrealism and no one cares
The term "Moops" originally applied to the indigenous Bepbeps.
It’s Berbers, there’s no Bepbeps!

Top 10 scene in Seinfeld history.
It's understandable why George refuses to say Moors because he REFUSED to give the mean spirited Bubble Boy satisfaction.
I’d say normally just give it to him but when you’re as mean as the Bubble Boy is, don’t expect any rules to be bent for you.
@@damaband41 Give him nothing, THE CARD SAID MOOPS and the rules are clear. Susan checked it.
Yep that’s the plot of the episode
Nothing can be finer than being in your diner
I’m impressed
Bubble Boy = Writer, Jon Hayman. Also, playing a prison guard, had the honor of delivering the final line of the series: "All right, Seinfeld, that's it."
Oooh, cool factoid :)
I'm just realizing how much of a 90's guy George is
What makes one a 90's guy?

Rise of the moops
Ok got it you have a bunch of gas cans filled with gas so you can refuel (not at a gas station) on your trek from Rhode island to Maine but dressing in combat type uniforms and having guns slung over your shoulders will still attract attention even on the side of a highway. Seinfeld was the best show ever!

Doesn't the video start with him explaining the reference?
Today’s incident in my hometown of Wakefield, Massachusetts brought me here (or, should I say, brought me BACK here 😆)
No wonder they’re angry. They’ve been the butt of a Seinfeld joke for over 20 years
@@queensgaelsmenshockey lmao right?!?!? 🤣 🤣
Same. Everytime they are reporting on "Rise of the Moors" I laugh and say it's not Moors it's Moops. Me and my Dad get a kick out of it. I went to visit him and my Mom down on the SShore for the 4th and kept giggling.
Yoooo I’m from Middleton
susan was waaaaay cute
This is one of the most quotable exchanges for real life.
Just realized there's a mistake in this scene: the Bubble Boy says "this is for the game" but he's on one of the pie spaces. The question you answer "for the game" is the one you answer on the "hub" space at the center of the board (after you've already earned the six pie pieces).
T H E M O O P S
Legend has it, they’re still arguing whether it’s the Moors or the Moops to this day.
George is getting upset!
classic episode!
this is what inspired me to name my cat “moop”.
I love George ❤
Best episode !
I looked it up.....it was the Moops.
Moops
George is so stubborn I’d have loved it if he kept this up until he died. He has kids years down the line and they come home having gotten the answer wrong on a test - because he of course taught them ‘Moops,’ - and goes down to the school to argue with the teacher that it’s actually Moops, citing the trivial pursuit game as evidence.
Fun fact. It actually was the Moops
It was the Moops!
In an alternate universe where the bubble boy knows the card erroneously says "Moops", he answers "Moops", only to be told by George that he's still wrong, because they meant to put "Moors"

Ok. The joke bubble boy says is underrated.
I can see the meme potential here.
What is it?
@@baconatorrodriguez4651 We'll wait and see.
@@candyneige6609 nothing happened apparently. Not your average zoomer tv show humor.
@@sudacagamer Actually, it might be because he have to wait several more years before we can finally see this appearing as a meme, afterall, a meme can originate years if not decades before it actually spreads, think of that one episode of F•R•E•I•N•D•S where Joey tries to learn Spanish, the episode in which a meme originated actually first aired in 2004, a whole decade and a half before it actually spread in 2019, the same thing could also happen with this video, it first aired in 1992, and while it might be twice as long as the previous example, the meme could start to spread later this year (2022) at the earliest, which is three entire decades for a meme to be born without even getting spread, and even when it's not, we can still see this video starting to spread in maybe 2027, 2032, 2037 or even 2042, which for the latter means that a meme originated half a century before it finally spread, in fact, there are a lot of memes that were already born, just waiting to be spread.

The correct answer is : Spain didn´t existed in the 8 century 😂
Spain didn't exist till 1492 😂😂😂
no but still consider Spain just for the modern society since that ancient land didn't get much of the spotlight compare to Rome or Athens or Sparta or Egypt.
The Spanish mooped the floor wirh the Moors.
They moored the floor with the Moops.
After 800 years of trying
The most Hilarious part is how the Factual answer is the Moors😆However what the rules of the game & the card says 🤷🏿♂️Moops🤣🤣🤣
Just imagine a capital R if the lil kicked-out leg of the " R " is scratched off it'll look like " P"
But then again why would a Capitol R be at the end of the word 🤨💭...Well anyway Hilarious scene 😂😂🤣🤣TOP 5 SITCOMS OF ALL TIME 👐⬇️

Susan was hot. She was wasted on George
She had man hands
They should have made it "Moots" instead because T is next to R on a QWERTY keyboard. Not to mention the irony that this typo itself is causing a moot.
Hehe :D
+bundeligafan it has nothing to do with keyboard.. Take away the "\" from "R" you end
up with "P" , that's why it was a misprint.. The Moors did invade Spain
and ruled for over 700 years..
I'm sorry, the correct answer is "Moops". The Moops invaded Spain and ruled for over 700 years, establishing the Al-Andaluz caliphate (among others).
Supposedly it was "moops" because the same thing happened on Jeopardy!
