This is Jerry Seinfeld talking with Larry David about “Seinfeld”
nowadays thats called a podcast
Tiktok
Same energy as "This should be a podcast"
"I think you may have something here." funny scene
George Costanza, self-described "slow-witted lord of the idiots" came up with one of the most genius television shows in history. As OK Go said, "mediocre people do exceptional things all the time".
There's nothing mediocre about George Costanza. Even when he fails, he does so spectacularly.
Larry David is not mediocre. He is awesome, in a weird-to-watch way
I love Ok Go!
The only thing that comes to me as I watch this is Abbot & Costello with “Who’s On First”!
I always compare Jerry and George to Abbot and Costello, it’s one comedy bit after another, in seconds there can be a number of jokes down to the script and the dialogue. People who don’t get Seinfeld are absolutely blind
I like how Seinfeld is supposedly known as the "show about nothing" when it was THEM that invented that whole narrative!
i don't understand
Shows the comedic ingenuity of it.
@@YG-kk4ey Seinfeld being supposedly known for nothing shows the comedic ingenuity of what when who invented the narrative?
@@YG-kk4ey Also why is having characters pitch show ingenious? The whole premise behind this sitcom is we follow what Jerry Seinfeld's life is like (including pitching shows and doing stand-up)
Also a man named Larry David + Jerry invented that narrative, not who "THEM" implies = George Costanza + Jerry
And this how Wale album about nothing came to him and Jerry on the album 🔥🙌🏾
Still the greatest sitcom of all time. GOAT. Curb is Larry David (raw) unplugged. Jerry Seinfeld is funny, Larry David is a genius.
This is brilliant comedy
Brilliant.
Still the best part about the show
“Now he’s a character”
They’re literally talking about themselves!
Great idea George
The thing is. Each episode does have a story.
Not just one storyline, but two or sometimes three, that always somehow they make come together at the end. Unbelievable writing.
I don't know about you but I'd watch it.
"I think you may have something here." funny, huh?
who's on first, what,I Don't Know and why...sounds ingenious.
What, writer? We’re talking about a sitcom!
0:46 "It about nothing." Seinfeld, the "show about nothing" that's anything but... More like the show about every mundane, ordinary life event, that they somehow made funny. ;)
Seinfeld is a mirror of life and revolutionized sitcom television. If it aired today in a primetime network slot it would kill most if not all competition. It's timeless and that's why it still works today.
Now a days, it’s also called Big Boss
Was this actually how this show was made
Larry David sure loves going meta. I guess when you've got a show about nothing you have to take whatever you can get
META
Jerry and George achieve Amaranth, 5E1992, colorized
"Jerry "was a show about nothing in everything and "Seinfeld" is a show about everything in nothing
E
In other words, it's like every other sitcom ever produced.
F A L S E
Umm no... Most sitcoms have a goal or seasonal plot/episode plot. A problem created at the start and conclusion effects the next episode. This show did not follow those rules
I always found this part of the show to be a bit too 4th wall breaking for me.
