Love all the ideas in this! I hadn’t considered revisiting Forgotten Sands, but you’re 100% right, it would be great to go back and fix that storyline to bridge the gap between SOT and WW better. Also, love your guitar skills, I also play guitar and love the riff you made. I’m playing PoP The Lost Crown right now and I’m hoping there are some Sands of Time Easter eggs ⏳
Honestly what i would do for the two thrones is: 1- keep the amulet of time that way you can have 2 swords instead of a dagger and a sword 2- keep robin as the voice of the prince (va of warrior within prince) 3- remove childish scenes as they wouldn't make sense due to tone of the previous game 4- give the prince the appearance of kindred blades cuz it looks cool 5- keep the story the same but i would add a boss battle with the dark prince where if he loses to him the dark prince takes permanent control and we get the bad ending which is basically the last few seconds of the ending that we saw in warrior within but it would be extended (meaning that the ending of warrior within is just foreshadowing to future events)
I think it's better to have the dagger, as it has become the part of the game. Just make it look more good, have more power. Also allowing to wield another sword and allowing to choose the dagger or other sword for different time. IDK but I liked the dagger and it's role so it's better if it stays.
2:30 How about combining the way you kill enemies in Sands of Time and Warrior Within/Two Thrones? Instead of sand retrieve being mandatory to finish of an enemy, maybe have it so that you can kill an enemy normally by depleting their health, or you can sand retrieve to kill them faster. So the sand retrieve becomes a risk reward mechanic - you can kill an enemy just by fighting them but it will take longer, or you can kill them faster but risk getting hurt. So you have to break an enemy's stance or get them down before you can retrieve the sand. Of course, you still have to redesign the way it and enemies works, since in the original game it was very to easy to cheese.
In the first game, when Farah stole the dagger, she gave the Prince the amulet. At the end of the game, he only returned the dagger, that's why he has the amulet in the second game. Alternatively, it could have been given to him by Darius who was Farah's brother
Great video!👍 Like you I'm a POP fan as well, especially the Warrior Within, there is something that I really hope they include in the Warrior Within remake! As the developers have mentioned, this game is inspired by Jackie Chan movies, so I think it would be a good idea to pay tribute to those films and take one scene from one of them that fits perfectly in Warrior Within, the scene I'm talking about is from the movie 'Armour of god' where Jackie fights acrobatically four furious amazon women in front of the main villain, so just imagine prince fighting four bladedancers (presented as minibosses here) in front of Kailinna! Given that there are not many boss fights in Warrior Within, this can be a good opportunity for the remake! Anyway I hope Ubisoft give us perfect POP Sands of Time trilogy remake ✌️
yeah I remember the thing that they were inspired by jackie chan, maybe if they remake WW, they might be able to pull sth off like that, I highly doubt they'll remake WW tho :/
that's the second time someone told me that, I take that as a complement, java mobile version, I think I played one of those, back when I got my first mobile and couldn't play games all day on my pc :D they were ok I guess, at least they were not infested with microtransactions
Really Great video. I agree with your view on the open world. Everything would have looked unbelievably bland if it was open world. One of the magical parts of Prince of Persia is the unique and beautiful areas.
One thing that is personal but I would add to two thrones, are the portals and the enemies dynamic. In the time TT was released, developers presented them as a new way to challenge the player, and in fact it does if you don't use stealth to kill the leader and things like that, but either way is a wasted potential. I mean, most of the times the enemies leader is the same, and variety of enemies in these points are not that good, besides the variety itself is because in any game with a good combat system, it is not only the combat itself the one that makes the battles enjoyable, but how the enemies interact to make pressure on the player and to have variety on how you deal with them. Also the stealth is good for variety, but that there are things that technically exist only for them is kinda boring, like the hounter hounds, which are really interesting enemies in terms on what they do, but that you kill easily, and therefore you don't aprecciate them properly, (which is also because the enemies they are accompanied, don't match that well), other example is klompa, that is only made for those quick time events, because the battle itself is just hurt his knees.
Hello, I liked your ideas. I hope someday Ubisoft launches a remastered trilogy (or remakes). What’s your opinion about the PoP (2008) reboot? Do you think Ubisoft will ever port it to newer consoles?
I don't think it's financially viable for ubisoft and therefore no, I don't think ubisoft will do such a thing I really don't like the idea that a game will save me every time I do something wrong, that aspect of 08 version is enough to make me stay away from it
for sands of time remake i would implement all the combat system from Warrior withing and two thrones. but to end enemies you need dagger of time. without dagger they will regenerate. sultan as a boss with red army. sharaman as a boss with blue army with huge sword blue army (in hard mode). so as vizier can control those monsters for that case sands monster will have there own dialogue like in warrior within they always fight for honor or defense for empress. longer gameplay more foreshadowing and details for other games.
dude about farah i had one problem with her at hard mode. she's not that big deal, it makes sense to her fire at you because inexperience, the making of prince of persia(neogamer chanel has the interview) said that she grab the arrow the moment shit happened or something like that. she actually helps you disabling enemies with one hit, it's awesome. the problems i had envolved bugged enemies that spawned after i started climbing de library when they should've been there since the start. she's a good companion and i like her. Was thinking about everyone giving kudos to ellie but for the time farah is much more amazing than ellie
for a creature that should mantain balance in timeline dahaka is pretty fucked up killing everyone in the way to prince. and dude has fog turning ability (i think) he could've just passed by until reaches prince.(they should give then the name of the movie:dastan. miss the movie wish for a sequence.
@dreadhorsegames2592 The Prince of Persia Council has come to the decision of completely grand rewinding any events of The Forgotten Sands. Therefore, it never existed. 😏
gotta be honest with you, I didn't see the "charm", when people talk about SOT, I feel like it's like bethesda games, after a while the charm becomes this massive thorn and that's just annoying, maybe I'm wrong, but who knows, it's not like we have a remake and see how people react
I believe that the Dark Prince in POP 3/Two Thrones/Kindred blade was originally going to be The other Prince in Warrior Within that got caught by the Dahaka. Think about it. When we were the prince, we get to see the sand wraith get caught and consumed infront of us. But when we played as the Sand Wraith, we got to see the other prince just being grabbed and pulled away by the Dahaka. My theory is that either the other Prince survived the encounter and the Dahaka affected him somehow, or he somehow merged with the Dahaka in an attempt to get revenge on the other Prince who stole his life. Think about it, "All that is yours is rightfully mine" . Because it's true, when we put on the Mask of the Wraith, we traveled not to our own past timeline, but an alternative universe timeline where a Prince Of Persia already existed, and we took his place and all that was his.
Considering the age we live in today, Warrior Within will be destroyed by woke propaganda. I do not want this franchise to be "diverse" for the special snowflakes.
Warrior Within and Two Thrones definitely should be remaked💯

I'll add the Wii version of Forgotten Sands to the series too as that helps develop the prince to the person he was in Warrior Within.
we need Warrior within right fucking now!!!
tru
Strange how they decided sands of time first, but I guess maybe they had in mind to remake the entire series.

oh yeah, I forgot about the VA of prince, it's just implied in the video, yeah keep the man for two thrones
