Love the content! Would love to see more videos like this in the future, and what it's like being a dev in Japan. I'll watch your video regarding travel tips in JP as well... Got family from my dad's side living in Kyoto so I should be making the trip soon.
You work a standard 9-5 with a beautiful office that works remote? I really couldn't tell you're working in Japan, you must definitely be working for a foreign company.
Hi Andi! I'm a student coming to Japan for software engineering. I will be going to Osaka in April 2024. Regarding software engineering, which schools are there in Japan and which universities or collages should I attend?Should i take the CS degree? Can you give me any recommendations please? about software engineering career in japan...
Im technically 3rd generation Japanese descendant Filipino (Nikkeijin, My great grandfather is japanese and my grandfather is a japanese citizen), Im currenlty in University studying Bachelor of Science in IT in the philippines graduating in 2026, I also have a PR only cause my father was not eligible for citezenship cause he was born before marriage. And also been to japan occasionally since I was 3 and lived in japan for 5 years for elementary to graduating junior high in japan so im quite familiar with the culture but my japanese speaking and reading ability will need some polishing but i can understand japanese well. Im interested in frontend also built systems for our group projects in uni (tho in group). Do you think I should apply jobs in japan after I graduate or find job first in my country(philippines) for 2-3 years and then move to japan to apply jobs? also are the competition for fresh grad and pay in japan that bad?
