Hey loved your video. I am in the middle of doing the lower end on my 2003 Suzuki RM125. Trying to split the case do you have to take off the shift fork thing the one where you need a 12mm deep socket I have everything else off. Thus thing does not want to split
Appreciate it. At around 4:03? Yea you need to remove it as it’s bolted to the shift drum on the other side. You might need to heat the crank bearings if it doesn’t want to split.
I’m rebuilding my sons 03 rm125 , using the wrench rabbit rebuild kit, think made a good choice? Cost like 715.00 just hope crank will stand test of time !
Hi mate, sorry only seeing this. The wrench rabbit kits are good. If you want to be safe you could put the crank on a truing stand to make sure it is perfect but it should be good to go.
I have a F114 - 129xx engine in a box that I got from a storage auction. I’m trying to figure out what year it is so I can get gaskets and other parts that may be specific for that year . The only thing I can see is it has the clutch linkage on top of the case the water pump impeller on the inside .. it seems as if the F114 cases were used over multiple years later 90’s to early 2001 ? With the last 5 digits not necessarily sequential to accenting year or randomly pulled off the shelf during assembly ? Can anyone tell me what to look for to narrow my search or at min order parts for that generation of engines ?
Any of you guys doing your own rebuilds?
Yup thank you about to fully rebuild and fix everything starting with drain plug and then everything else
Yup. Been doing it by some months now… about 6-7 months🙃
Good job explaining the teardown and great idea on the case splitter be using that tip myself in the future👍
Tomatoknuckles thanks buddy, yea it’s handy and saves a few pound over buying the fancy case splitter haha!
@@kieranmacca9370 Give me good oul ingenuity over fancy tools any day 👍
@@tomatoknuckles 100% agreed!
Do you have any reassembly videos?

Super nice clear video 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

How much does it cost for all the new parts and to rebuild it?
Does anyone know if a 2001 Crankshaft will fit okay for a 2000 rm125? Or maybe a older year? I would appreciate the help.
Is this bolt a reverse bolt or normal clockwise block for the primary drive
I honestly can’t remember sorry.
