Are you in the UK or America? The bolt kit is a brand “Bolt” and it’s just an engine hardware kit for Rm125 01-08. The gasket kit is an Athena complete gasket kit. Search both on google you should find a few suppliers. I bought the Bolt kit on eBay
Thanks man! I’m starting to get some feeling back now, it’s so slow but at least I’m starting to see improvement. I’ve bought another project bike so the videos will be back on the go again soon.
Hi. Currently rebuilding an 06 125 engine.but i have a quesyion about the water pump propeller. Do you remember that if there goes a washer behind the propeller or does it mount directly on the water pump gear? Tried both ways an both the options spin freely also no rubbing to the cases or waterpump cover Hope you can help me out asap.
Badass! That was so cool to watch, you did everything so meticulously. I have an 01 and will definitely use this as a reference at some point! How is it running?
Eric Sumpter glad you liked it! I’m still waiting on a few parts to finish the bike so haven’t had it running yet. I’ll be doing a build vid of the bike shortly though!
Brooks Crocker thanks man, I appreciate it! I usually soak the parts in a parts cleaner and then use scotchbrite to remove the carbon. You could soda blast the parts either if you had a blast cabinet.
You can find the workshop manual for most bikes online. Just search your bike + manual and you should find it. It will have instructions for each job and torque settings for everything.
www.crservice.dk/Suzuki%20cross/RM125/RM125K7_01A.pdf I used this one, it’s for 02/03 up but all the torque settings are the same. Even the assembly instructions for the engine are almost the same. The power valve is the only big difference.
@@kieranmacca9370 that’s what I needed to hear, I’ve found this version but I was unsure if they would be the same torque specs all around. Thanks for the help!
You can install the clutch basket and place either an old gear if you have one or a cloth between the clutch basket teeth and primary drive teeth to lock them. Or you can fit the stator on the opposite side if you have a tool for holding it and torque it that way. I usually put a cloth between the clutch basket and primary drive gear.
Thanks mate! The bolts are from Bolt Hardware, and I just use copper grease on bolt threads and a waterproof grease for fitting seals and stuff like that.
Max Lancaster it took a lot longer with setting up cameras etc. But usually I would tear it apart in a few hours, and maybe half a day to build back up. They’re easy to work on.
Do you guys like this style of video? ✌️
Love it, clean! Reassembling/restoring an 87 RM 125 and had the engine apart for a while and you make it look SO easy I'm excited to get it done!!
Julio Candelaria thank you bro! They’re not too complicated to build, much more satisfying than a 4 stroke that’s for sure!
Ngl this video was awesome
Yes, a lot, I'm actually learning from this but wish it was a 98 rm125 lol
Loved it 🤙 enjoyed with a cuppa coffee, engine looks great! Just curious what bolt kit you used?
It was soothing to watch, soft guitar and no talking to clean straight forward assembly of a moto. Great work!!
Edge Crusher thanks man, I’m glad you liked it. That’s what I was going for, just straight into the action and no bullshit haha.
In the middle of a complete rebuild of my 03 rm125..thanks for the video its really going to help
Kyle Wallace no problem mate, glad it’s going to help you!
What you think of weisco bottom an top end garage buddy rebuild kit? I ordered for my sons 03 rm 125 price seemed right!
This video is amazing, I just got a 2001 RM125 it has a fresh build on top and bottom but looking to do future ones, this is a massive help!
Looks mint bud. Enjoyed this edit nice and chill 👌
Thanks man, glad you enjoyed it!

Original power valves ? I’m in the market for a whole lot can’t seem to find a decent pair
Yea they were still in good condition. I’m not sure where you will find them. Maybe they’re still available new?
Amazing video👍

@@kieranmacca9370 awesome, look forward to watching. Let us know how it's running once you get it together!
Was it hard to find transmission bearing kit??
Not really, Hot Rods do a transmission bearing kit for most bikes I think.
Awesome build, and great clean video content👍👍 those cases look great. As well as that power valve jug. How do you remove all of the carbon build up?
Brooks Crocker thanks man, I appreciate it! I usually soak the parts in a parts cleaner and then use scotchbrite to remove the carbon. You could soda blast the parts either if you had a blast cabinet.
I have a question man ! How do you know how how to torque everything down? How can I find out ?! Please get back to me.
You can find the workshop manual for most bikes online. Just search your bike + manual and you should find it. It will have instructions for each job and torque settings for everything.
Which bike year did you happen to read from? I cannot find for the life of me the correct 2001 rm125 manual anywhere online!

Did you finish this RM?
Great video also I really enjoyed it
How did you torque the primary drive gear?
You can install the clutch basket and place either an old gear if you have one or a cloth between the clutch basket teeth and primary drive teeth to lock them.

Kieran Macca sweet, thank you!
When will there be another video on this bike?
I’m not sure. Still dealing with a spinal cord injury so haven’t been able to finish the bike.
@@kieranmacca9370 that’s crazy, I hope you get better soon enough 👍
I live in cambodia southeast asia. May you tell me where or website that I can order some new parts of RM 125 yz 125 ....
with how many NM did you torque cylinder up? (4 cylinder nuts)
25 NM for the cylinder nuts.
What’s the tool u use to tighten the cylinder not the torque wrench
It’s a Motion Pro torque spanner adapter ✌️
Which black colour are the
covers painted?
I think it was “Cobalt” Cerakote.
@@kieranmacca9370 Ok, thanks
Very nice video and helpful👍
Glad you liked it!
Pretty dope looks cinematic. You use final cut?
Thanks man, I use Premiere Pro, I’ve tried both but prefer PP.
Cool edit 🤙
Thomas Doyle trying to up my game!
Hey man would u be able to post a tutorial on how to assemble it?
I’ll do a tutorial on the next build I do, not to keen on starting over on this one haha.
@@kieranmacca9370 yeah thats all good man👍👍
My son was gifted the frame of a 2001 RM125, but have had no luck in finding an assembled engine for this, any advice?
Where are you based? There’s a breaker on eBay with a lot of bikes around that year who might have something.
@@kieranmacca9370 I'm in central Florida
What brand of case 6mm bolts did you use and what grease you using? GREAT video!

Nice chill video bro 👌 nice job!!
How long did it take to tear apart and put back together
Max Lancaster it took a lot longer with setting up cameras etc. But usually I would tear it apart in a few hours, and maybe half a day to build back up. They’re easy to work on.
Alright. Thanks for the input
Also does the manual have all the needed torque specs? If not, where can I find them?
Max Lancaster yea it does, and you should be able to find the full workshop manual online, so handy to have!
How long did it take you to rebuild the whole motor ?
Probably 4-5 hours. Setting up the camera, etc slowed things up a bit
@@kieranmacca9370 what camera did you use
@@ryanendrizzi3050 Sony A7ii and I think it was a 50mm f1.8 lens.

I cerakoted then Burnt Bronze.

Dude such a video👌👌👌👌🤓
Music was depression but yeah it was cool
I’ll take the good with the bad
Lmao I wouldn't say its depressing at all, put me into a meditative state watching
Where did you find the torque specs for everything?
Search rm125 owners service manual on google. Or whichever bike you have and you should be able to find the full manual online.
