    Thank You!! Yes it helped but the way you do it was so much easier without the Intake Manifold being installed or the Exhaust side manifold. With those in the way plus the coil packs and all the other hoses it can be a stretch getting into those valves with the feeler Gauge.

    At how may miles or km did you do your adjustment? I have a 2013 civic si at 80,000km and I think it's a bit louder than it used to be so I'm trying to figure out if I need an adjust or not. Thanks

    I think the TDC notch position ("C" in your illustration at 8:26) on the (left)camshaft pulley is 3 o'clock and the VTC pulley is at 9 o'clock-- so they line-up. Then a 90 degree turn for positions 2,3 &4. To reiterate, these are the o'clock positions of the TDC notches which can be found on the outer diameter of the pulleys:
    POSITION 1: Camshaft pulley 3, VTC pully 9 (shown at 8:26)
    POSITION 2: Camshaft pulley 6, VTC pulley 12
    POSITION 3 Camshaft pulley 9, VTC pulley 3
    POSITION 4: Camshaft pulley 12, VTC pulley 6

    Hello Serg, I wanted to ask you for help with the valve calibration measurement of my Honda Accord 2007. Previously, they adjusted the calibration but lost strength and this fuel squeezer. The engine that brings my Accord is a K24A8. You could help me with the data of what should be the measure that valves should carry. In advance, I thank you for any suggestions you can give me to correct this problem in my car.
    Sorry about my English Best regards

    I just installed Skunk2 Stg2 v3 on my k24/k20, I'm confused with the valve lash specs. Since Skunk2 said to put it I/E to 0.00. For now I put it to 0.006 I & 0.008 E. is this too tight?

    • @darcygoesfast
      @darcygoesfast 4 роки тому +2

      I just happened on this video- I've done numerous s2000 VA. 0.00 is NOT- I repeat- NOT correct. You are in for a world of trouble with burnt valves being the least of them. The F20/F22 typically adjusts to the lower end of the spec. I also have K20 Si and I'd be doing IN .008/EX .011. However, the DBW F22 owners use EX .012 (with the range being .010 to .011- yes, we go a little looser to prevent burnt valves on the DBW F series- a known issue). good luck and enjoy the ride.

    Old video hopefully I get a response I've always wondered this if you have to adjust your valves at top dead center wouldn't it make sense to do cylinder one and four at the same time? then two and three after turning the crank and making sure those are at top dead center. I've always done it one through four anyway. But top dead center center number one and cylinder 4 will be top dead center also. Same and cylinder 2 and 3

    • @ranger178
      @ranger178 2 роки тому +1

      each cylinder has a top dead center for compression stroke and for exhaust stroke so valves are in different positions depending on which stroke its on you would have to make sure valves are all closed and at right point on the cams

    Does it matter which way you insert the filler gauge? Front vs from the side? And if you go with the lower limit for example 0.008” and set it correctly would you be able to insert 0.009” or 010” filler gauge

    • @hectorestrada4744
      @hectorestrada4744 5 років тому +1

      It does, simply to pull the gauge out and FEEL the drag on the way out. You can insert it sideways but you dont get much gauge material sideways to feel much. If you set it to the minimum clearance of .008 with proper feel. You should NOT be able to insert the next gauge up .

    What's the difference between valve lash and valve lift? I googled this and Google seems to think they are the same thing which can't be cuz these drag cartels I have have different measurements for setting valve lash from valve lift. Surprised that Google turns nothing up but videos like this no matter which one you type...

    • @MrManuel1329
      @MrManuel1329 3 роки тому

      The cam phasing is controlled by the ecm and can be set by the tuner if he wants. Plus depending what phasers you have along with the cam and pistons setup sometimes you can can't phase 100% without smacking a valve's.

    • @brettcombs774
      @brettcombs774 3 роки тому

      Valve lash adjustment isn’t related to the cams VTC angle. The limit of VTC is defined by piston to valve clearance. If you’re putting big cams in the k series you need to clay the engine at various VTC angles...

    Hi... I have a 2002 Honda crv which shows good compression (about 160ish and all cylinders) and I've adjusted the valves. Yet, I still get misfires on all cylinders. My Honda manual says the Exhaust valve adjustment should be .012 and my intake should be .008. However, when looking at the sticker under the hood it shows 0.30/Exhaust and 0.23/Intake. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
