    dwnthk the noodle we used are called Shirataki. If you google it you'll see what they are. If you don't have these, you could just omit them from the recipe. Thanks for watching!

    This what I adore about learning how to cook from mom's or dad's. They rarely measure anything because they have made it so many times it just comes down to eyeballing it or just feeling that it's enough.

    The potatoes looks really fresh 😍 The potato peels made into potato chips must taste really good 😋

    have seen a few recipes for beef and potatoes, but they didn't have noodles. One was just the potatoes, beef and onion, and the other put it over rice.
    It's such a sturdy dish, you could do it any of these ways and it will be yummy!

    Sinichi, I have had shirataki noodles quite often. They contain almost zero carbs and calories. When it comes to cooking, mothers always have better ideas. Tearing the meat by hand is perfect! Her Niku Jaga looks phenomenal! Great show! All the best to you and your sweet mother!

      Shirataki is used in a lot of Japanese recipes. I'll come up with more for you.

    I think Rakkyo is same as shallots. Your mom's NIKUJAGA looks so good. I've never eaten nikujaga until 2 years ago because my mom never made them and she was a super picky eater. I could not eat KFC until I was 18 years old.

    Hi guys, another wonderful video to watch. Your mother is a great and lovely woman and I think it was now the third time she appeared in a video? I wanted to ask you, if you are in the mood to tell me the name of the song in the background? I need to buy that.
    Thanks so much, have a great day guys.

      Manfred Marschik Thanks so much! My mother's back in Hawaii but should be back again next year to make another video with me. I hope! The song in the background is from audionetwork.com. Hmmm....I can't remember exactly what the name of the song is. Sorry I can't help much!!!

    +TabiEats I was just watching this again to make sure I get all the ingredients to make it and I noticed there was one or two ingredients not listed in the recipe listed.. is it just the onion? or was there more?

    • @TabiEats
      @TabiEats  9 років тому +1

      +Lucas Musser oops I did forget the onions in there didn't I? Nope it's just the onion that was missing. Sorry about that my friend.

    • @LucasMusser
      @LucasMusser 9 років тому +1

      +TabiEats I'll be making this soon I bought all the ingredients already.. the only thing that's slightly different are the noodles... the shirataki noodles are made from the elephant yam and I couldn't find them here so I'm using vermicelli noodles since they seemed similar enough.. but everything else is there and I'm excited to try this out

      +VANDALA1031 Oh yes I love rakkyo. My mother made some for me this summer. Would you like us to make them for you? However you'd have to wait until next spring though as it's only available during that time.
