Having installed this kit on my 2015 I can tell you compressing them springs is a chore, dangerous with out the correct tools. I would recommend taking the struts to a shop that has the correct tools to do this, worth every penny they would charge. This kit has been on our Jeep for 18 months now. No issues other than the jeep recently required replacement of the sway drag links but that may not be because of the lift kit and more they wore out in 66k miles. Again extreme caution when compressing the spring (my brother has a dent in his steel garage wall with my name on it!)
Hello friend, I would like to inquire about the installation of the 2.5" rough country kit. I tried to install it in a specialized workshop, which verified that they followed all the installation steps to the letter, but my KW2 Grand Cherokee limited 3.6 Automatic year 2015 apparently is more robust in its monocoque, which causes an interference between the shock absorber spring and the vehicle chassis when lowering those 2.5 ".
Has this inconvenience happened to anyone? Can you tell me how you solved it?
@@jorgeflores-xj5xb I raised mine not lowered it. But no issue when raising other than a biatch to get the front done.
You skipped the hardest bit. Refitting the front strut mine is extended so far i cant get the lower holes to lime up

My next addition to my 2011 grand is a RC lift, last week I put on a set of landspyder AT tires and I love them
The simple way to do the struts, is to re-drill the holes in the top of the strut tower. Takes 5 minutes.
With all the work involved, it just makes more sense to me to put a real suspension lift on instead of spacers.

thanks for the vid thinking about putting that lift on my 2015 limited but those springs scare me haha, im also weary of a shop not being as thorough as you were, any tips you might have for dealing with the front struts?
A question the struts come with the spacers? Or you buy separately?
The turning of the strut 180 degrees has got me a bit confused. Why can’t we just turn the top hat 180 degrees? Isn’t it the same, but easier?

If you have to use a spring compressor,why not just change the spring and strut?
I did this today, but the front is higher "prerunner" style.. not sure what went wrong. I have Bilstein 4600's on, any ideas?

Dude!! How did it drive with the sway bars disconnected? Any better flex? I just bought a 17 and want to un hook mine. It would be cool to have a say bar disconnect system!
Great video guys! Any suggestions on how to rotate that sway bar to line up with the sway links? I sprayed a ton of WD40 to try rotate it, but that bar won’t budge.
He says at end he left all the sway bar bolts loose til he was done .

Ride has felt factory! Little rubbing with turning and bumps but minimal
I bought the WK2 lift and installed it only to find the front struts bottomed out as well as making a big bang noise on mild traffic calming bumps. It turnned out RC hadn't installed the rubber bump stops.
I tried contacting them several times but no one from Rough Country ever returned a replied to my emails.
A month later when doing a desert trip I found the struts faded after a few hours of slow driving and the front end would bounce with no dampening effect from these RC struts.
These are rubbish and there's no customer support, stay away from this product and company

Great video and I do agree it looks significantly better. My only knock is the wheel size. I personally don't care for that much sidewall...but you know what they say about opinions? Anyway, great job!
Was going to get mine lifted w bigger better tires. Now, maybe not. Did not look good IMO. I dunno why

Has anyone installed this on a 2022 WK Limited? I can't find a shop that will install a lift on this particular model. Creates driveshaft issues supposedly. I'd like to lift it but not at the expense of creating a headache.
I’m confused. I understand the lifting of the vehicle 2.5 inches in the front, but was anything done to the stock suspension in the rear? Thank you
A spacer is added to the rear coils and shocks to level it out. Pretty straight forward in the instructions if you go with this kit.
I've put this lift on mine and really disappointed with how high the rear gets lifted gives it a weird squat there's extra spacers after market places make I would recommend looking into that
