Adding a set of BTR Brian Tooley Racing valve covers to my LS LSA setup to help with crank case pressures and they just look so good! Let’s go!
Rear main seal went bad on the LS
Переглядів 1 тис.8 місяців тому
The 1950 deluxe decided that the rear main seal had to go so it’s time to replace it. Build a custom transmission jack for the 4l80e and delete my exhaust scavenging system because I’m pretty sure that was the culprit. Let’s go!

You will have bump steer
@@PERKZERO I used a fox body Hyma joint bump steer kit and do not have any issues. Currently over 13k mile on this setup and it feels great.
Did you do the back wheel flares
@@wilyumfalcon4802 yes, never made a video on it
Im full sandblasting my chassis, should i prime it or will it stick directly to the sanded frame after i degrease it
@@SimThrills4U I’m not an expert by any means, but I would heat up the frame first to get rid of any moisture or impurities in the metal and then a coat of self etching primer followed by the chassis coating
Do you have to change the master cylinder
i whish i how to make youtube veteos but i am 50 and lerning but see what you doing and like it
just triying to help out peapel out save time i run the rufest rig roads in west texes and on probems
i have 2.5 lift on my 2014 jeep grand cherokee and have ben driving and all i did is swop the driver side strut to the passenger side with out having to take a part the stut
Did a stage 2.5 6l80 w 3200 circle d stall. It’s a night n day difference from stock. Going w a 6.2 n/a
crazy that they still put drum brakes on stuff. I know they work but they add weight and aren't nearly as responsive as disc brakes.
I have a 1982 S-10 that I LS swapped. it has a 6.0 LQ4. 317 heads shaved for an extra half point of compression. 226i / 231e cam. I put an Eaton M90 generation 5 supercharger on it with a Holley Lo ram and an adapter plate made by Tom Demeuse. the supercharger is maxxed out for sure being on a 6.0 liter engine. I started watching your videos after seeing the one you made when you added the flex fuel sensor to your truck.
a lot of the comments have questions, most of those questions will be answered by watching the video, for example; what is a virtual flex fuel system? if you watch the video and still don't know what that is, maybe do an internet search and that will definitely answer your question. Great video. My main reason for watching was to confirm what I was already wanting to do. "great minds think alike."
I just bought a 2013 GMC Sierra. I got it home and it had a half tank, so I proceeded to fill it up with E85. The previous owner installed a BTR stage 1 V2 cam and had it tuned. I downloaded the tune and saw that the virtual sensor was disabled, so I paid the 100 bucks and enabled the virtual sensor, except that didn't really fix it either. so I'm adding the sensor like I did on my 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP and 2002 Chevy Silverado with the 5.3 LM7.
Do you have a video of installing the AC system?
@@johnr7532 sorry, I don’t think I do
Can i install them on my stock wheels and rims?
You can yes but u will have a lot of gap between fender well and tires
Buenas noches sabes dónde se encuentra el vin en el chasis tengo un Chevy deluxe 1950 pero no tengo la placa de bastidor de la puerta del copiloto
Awesome work. Thanks for showing what you had to do. I will use this info for my project. Great work.
Good job
What steering column are you using?

@snedenwerks thanks. What lower column mount did you use on the firewall/toe board?

I have the same problem with a 66 wich one you recomend??????????
Thats fucking beautiful work.. your ride has come along way. Been watching since you started. Has given me motivation for my 51.
Very cool I will be trying it on my 52.
As a classic car owner myself I appreciate you showing us this. The struggle is real illuminating the back of our cars so we don't get crunched.
You still have working lights? Also what was that you sprayed into the box?
@@inlikemin they do! No issues. If I remember correctly just some RTV sealant
How dod you put 17's on? Do you not have HD brakes?
Would be dope to see this car done soon!
I have 08 Silverado. Do I tap in to pin 40 as well?
@@lylegoodluck no idea. I’d definitely look into that
What size of bolt are you now using for the upper control arms ?
Awesome video you gave me the solution with the issue I'm having as well!
I love the LY6 engines with some great features such as rectangle port heads standard on the engine. Unfortunately if doing a naturally aspirated build it can be hard to get the compression up over 10.0:1 depending on the bottom end and heads used. 😎🇦🇺👍
these look like they work great! how have they held up?
@@bigdave6597 great! 13k miles on the car and hood still opens
Imagine if you were home less you would be sleeping in it
Thks for the video no parts list ?? Are you going to hydra booster master
Can’t wait to hear it run!
Nice Malibu!!! I am doing my first swap. Not my first engine tho. Ls3/6L80E in a 03'Crown Vic Police Interceptor. It's a project with my grandkids. I have the block and stand alone harness done. Working on the heads now. Hopefully by 2025 I will have her going.
Looking awesome!
quick question, why wouldn't you bolt the turbo mount/holder to the engine? I feel like there would be a point of contention/stress between the engine that will flex, and the turbo mount that's solid connected to the frame. p.s. Love the gym plug at the end!
@@charlielong7989 you’re definitely not wrong on that would be a better option.
when welding ss do not use sanding grinding or cutting wheels that were used on other metals
Great eye on the spray paint with the hint of black. Love the 3 color combo of the gold/blue/black
Put that piping in a media tumbler polish it up would look sick
Looking good Brad!!! Now to watch you busting it till your birthday!!
You need too do a vlog day by day work gym buying parts and tinkering you have that motivated personality to get the people moving to start something love the projects and daily driver stuff
Nice to see another video from you... Looking forward to seeing progress on this thing. Your vids help me stay motivated on my own stuff too.....
I'm super interested to see how you do your core support. I've been wanting to make my own as well
Giving yourself a target date is sure to encourage you into action, good luck it looks an angry beast👍
Installed 100 lbs struts on my 1953 Bel Air after seeing this video. Used the center side rubber bumper on the hood for the lead hood bracket bolt hole. Worked very well.
How has the motor held up? Any lifter trouble? Asking in reference to my current build ty
I want to do this. I am so tired of the virtual sensor screwing up. It keeps killing fuel trims. I got so pissed a week ago I disabled flex fuel with HP tuners and filled my entire tank with ethanol free fuel. Truck loved it and has figured out what it wants. I’m going to get the wideband o2s first, then the physical ethanol sensor. I just want my truck to be happy and have its fuel right. I am planning the DOD physical delete this winter so I can get some real valves, springs, lifters of the non-collapsible variety and an upgraded cam. Of course, if you get a cam, you really have to get a new exhaust and might as well do headers too. 😂😂
Just wanted to let you know that your vids have motivated me to get back to work on my 51 coupe that I've been ignoring for over 10 years. Thank you!
I agree with you where their customer service is concerned. They build good transmissions but if anything ever goes wrong or if you have questions, you're likely to regret having called them.
THANK YOU SO MUCH
