La Jolla kayak fishing

- In this video I am in La Jolla kayak fishing the kelp beds. Found some good Calico bass in the kelp beds and some Barred Sand Bass along the bottom!
The surf was reported to be 17 intervals the night before, but upon arrival in the morning, the sets were about 6 seconds, which made for a rough launch. Still a great day fishing out in La Jolla CA using slow pitch jigs, trolling, and spoons!
One step closer in the long pursuit of someday becoming a black belt in fishing.

I love the towel look!!!!!!! Thank you for showing the entire outing :)
10:15 Dolphin pod musta been a awesome site to see in person!
That launch 🚀 was something else! Then you took all that water in… but the towel was the real mvp. Bunch of nice catches 🎣🤙🏽
6 second intervals are no joke!
@@SubmissionFishingCo I feel like that’s some advanced kayaking… and still too far out for my safety and swimming capabilities.. but you do pulling in some nice fish over there. 👌🏽
Great video - how to launch and land - was a bonus. That blankie tho!
Textbook launch and landing. Smoooove 😎💪🤙🏼
Like butter!
looks like some damn fun fishing there...
Awesome video 🤙🏼
Thanks for sharing
Heading down in two weeks
Do you keep and eat the calicos?
Sometimes, if I know I can make it that night I'll keep em!
Took my 10ft paddle kayak out recently looking for yellows, definitely an arm workout
Hell yeah! No guts no glory!
Subscribed to the channel! Good stuff and crazy launch lol. I was gifted one of those Yizuri minnows. How do you fish em? Any weight I should add? Your insight is appreciated. Looking forward to trying it next time at lj
Thanks for the sub! I fish the yo zuri as it is nothing added, I typically troll them when I am making a long move from one spot to another. Just let out some line as you are paddling until it's about 50ft behind you and just hope for a bite!
Muto, What size slow pitch were you using?
60gram
what kayak is that?
