I found out I was positive feb 25th 2019, and I started biktarvy immediately. My next doctors appointment is on March 27th I hope it all goes well. Also I’m so glad I found your channel because I have literally no one else to lean on. I’m scared of telling my friends.

Hi Raif, I’m glad you’re doing great. I’m undetectable and I go the doctor visit every 6 months. Pretty much same what you went through. For anyone who is diagnosed HIV, it’s important go doctor visit and take medications daily. You will have good long lasting life ahead of you. ❤️

Thank you so much for informing everyone like me about hiv. It mean so much to me. I was diagnosed last October so i was kinda afraid of living with this, its nerve racking to know my status but now the effect of social media like this like you i can learn and accept it and just be happy and lucky enough cause i already taking my medicines. Here in the Philippines we don't have yet the biktarvy so hopefully we will have that sooner.. thank you again... 😊

I take biktarvy I started treatment about 8 months now and I’ve been feeling great the only thing is I’ve noticed a little bit gain weigh I started at 158lb than gained 178lb now I weigh 173lb which to me is a big deal because I am very cautious about my weight.Has anyone seen a weight change on this medication if so what you’ve done lose it or maintain healthy weight
I just had my 6 month appt in November. I’m still undetectable, high CD4, my vitals normal, but my Cholesterol level from my last blood test 6 months prior was above normal. So my doctor told me to try changing up my diet a little to a much healthier one. Other than that, everything went well. My doctor’s visit and lab tests for that day was all covered my health insurance. My next appt is in June.

Great video! I have an appt with my Dr tomorrow. I just started to take the same medication you are on 2 mos ago. I'm really curious to see my results. This is a new Dr, my old Dr had me on 3 different meds for 5 yrs. The new Dr said I shouldn't have been on those 3 meds cause they are really hard on the liver. I'm glad I seeing this new Dr and she seems to care more than the other Dr. It's kinda sad the that Dr didn't really care what was going on with me, my liver levels were high and he still kept me on them. I'm so happy you're in a relationship and you look amazing, so handsome! Have a great day!

Would like to ask, my partner was diagnosed with pneumonia last july 2018. And then symptoms of hiv occured and we both are positive. Update: january 2019. My partner is done with his 6 months treatment and currently he is complaining that his right ear hurts. What should i do?

I'm not sure if you'll see my post on your old video, but are you still taking creatine or have your doctor's said to stop? Like, has there been an increase in your creatinine levels? I take Odefsey which contains Tenofovir. Do yours meds have that?
My creatinine levels have not gone up since I'm taking creatine every single day for years. It's a non-issue for me. I've taken Atripla, Truvada, Genvoya, Biktarvy...no problems with any of them while taking creatine daily.

James Owen I’m not taking any kind of injectable. I do know that there are some injectable medicines for HIV in the works but they are in trials atm and not available anywhere

in all the videos of yours that I’ve watched you’ve said you have AIDS but from my understanding HIV and AIDS are different and when you have AIDS you can’t revert back to HIV status. I could be incorrect. Just wondering.
he have HIV
AIDS - under 250 CD4 & an opportunistic infection. It can go back to HIV+ If a serious disease happens along with an AIDS diagnosis, usually Cancer & PCP., the odds of survival are very low even if starting meds. All depends on the strain of the virus. Sadly, the strains out there as of late are highly resistent to meds. The last two of my friends who didn't get tested & wound up too late for treatment died 2018 from Lymphoma. She was 23 & he 25. It is very important to be tested annually if sexually active.
Raif, if you don't mind me asking. What was the swab he did in the beginning of your appointment and stuck it in a vile?
I believe it was for a culture to see if I have certain STDs
Out of curiosity, how did you wind up having up so much medication? Also, any thought of dovato?
No thoughts on dovato. And my pharmacy would send me my meds a touch earlier every month which provided overlap as well as missing doses here and there over the course of years.

Nice video. Im hiv positive undedetcable .I heard that hiv increases the chances of cancer. Do they test for cancer as well when you go for your regular hiv check up appointments?
Elektrik Buzzed There is an increased risk of cancer when your immune system is compromised by HIV (ie when u have AIDS)...but my immune system is not compromised. I am undetectable. So there’s no need to check for cancer any more than anyone else
