  • In this video I am replacing a worn power trim motor on my 2019 Suzuki DF250SS outboard. This is a step by step video and you will be learning as I do, because I haven't done this before.

Had to wait to when I had the time to watch this and glad I did. Glad to see how to replace the trim motor.

Had to do this on our 1989 Mercury 90. Our motor was so corroded, we just decided to get a whole new trim/tilt assembly. Had to remove one side of the transom mount to get it out. Real pain in the butt. Good to see they are making them easier and more serviceable these days.

man you have so many unique attachments for your tools. That's the stuff that would get me hung up trying to get those hard to reach screws out

I just did this on my 2012 Suzuki 115. New Amazon motor o ring seemed flimsy and sure enough a small amount was leaking where motor bolts on to pump. Pulled it off and used old o ring and it seems to be a little better, but still see a little wetness at the crack. I am going to take it off again and dry the pump top like you did and maybe it'll help seal it. Any suggestions my friend? O ring seemed not to be binded in any way. Could it be residual fluid making its way out? The old o ring seemed to make it a little better, but isn't bone dry at the seam.
