Those hawken rifles in my opinion are the single most beautiful rifle ever made im proud to say that i own a kentucky long rifle and im even more proud to say that ive recently made a trade for a hawken rifle and im chomping at bit and checking the mail box every few hours in hopes my hawken will be here the day it arrives ill be doing an unboxing video hope that you come by and check it out and some of my other videos ive got a wide variety of videos

Yep they are high these days. I got mine in a local gun shot/ pawnshop. And the price was really reasonable. I wanted a 54 cal but had to settle for a 50. Thanks for watching. 👍👍
Yes please . I asked for such a video long ago . I agree with you about light triggers . I have a 54 cal T.C. Hawken . I shoot T.C. maxi bullets . They weigh 425 grains . 110 grains of Goex ff . So I guess that makes it a 54-110-425 . It is a caplock . It likes CCI #11 magnum caps .
I saw some of those CCI #11 magnum caps at the store the other day and they were priced at $14.99 for a tin . I guess if a guy is just starting out and don’t know any better it wouldn’t matter . But to us old timers it’s hard to pay those prices. Once they raise the prices they never go back down.
@@JBDRLSOARK I bought 1000 about 5 years ago . Rumor has it cci will be making another run soon . They have not made any in along time . They might not be the best for your rifle anyway . I hear goex might be coming back .
Enough to make a person interested in flint locks . Then flings might be hard to get . I do not shoot much . 5 to 10 shots . Duelist1954 is flintlock fowler videos are great .
@@chadrichard6388 I usually go to Walmart right after muzzleloader hunting season is over and buy em marked down. Last year they put $5 for regular CCI #11 ‘s and I bought some to put back.
Yours is fancier than mine, no Cheek PC. But it shoots great. Took It to the range today. From Cabelas Investorarms in 2000 or so, $169.00 They cost a lot more today

Thanks for watching the video. I haven’t been able to find much information on line about these rifles. But when you handle one you can feel and see the quality and craftsmanship . They are well made muzzleloaders .
I have one. Nice gun, it was my dads. Same sights as yours and I can hit a bucket at 100 yards time after time again. Need to take it further 100 is getting a little boring now lol.. power is pretty great too. Took out a 8 in pine tree I’ve been meaning to cut down. Well it got cut down!
I’m glad to hear from a fan of the black powder firearms. I love to shoot them also. I have several and some cap & ball revolvers. Unfortunately not many of my subscribers like them. I think it’s just because they haven’t tried them. Oh well they don’t know what they’re missing.
Different places . I found some at Walmart and some at the local gun shop. I’m always on the look out for such stuff. I’ve heard that Midway USA had some at one time but I don’t like paying the shipping and the hazmat fee. But I will say it’s getting harder to find shooting supplies and I believe that’s part of the plan. Thanks for watching 👍👍

Did you notice that most of the screw heads are oriented inline with the rifle? Its a small detail, but shows the care of the maker.

I've got 2 Bridger Hawkins. 54 in flintlock and I love them! Love to get a percussion in .54 but the prices are way up! Nice video!

Sad investarm has ditched walnut and gone with Beech. The price really needs to be adjusted for that.

Nice piece of wood on er. The gun looks to be made just like the TC guns with the same hardware but a different shape trigger guard and end cap.

I enjoy black powder shooting, I have 2, a Tradition sidekick Hawken percussion and a Remington model 700 ML. So bring on the smoke
