This Hawken Woodsman rifle is made in Spain by Ardesa and marketed in USA by Traditions. Good rifle for the price. Good for shooting and hunting. Saludos desde España.
Hell yeah man nice shot and nice pig. Ocala FL? Or up north further somewhere? All the hogs near me have migrated due to building and construction but im hoping to get out there again and bag one soon.
Nice job guys. New sub here, long time black powder hunter. You can swap out the #11 nipple for a musket cap nipple, tons faster reloading for sure. Keep the videos comin’
What load are you using? My wife recently bought me a hog hunt and I am looking at using a 320 grain maxi ball with 85 to 100 grains behind it. Thoughts? Thanks
We’re you using by chance a Traditions brand Springfield Hawken rifle ..? And by chance were you using Hornady Great Plains 385 grain bullets ..? If so, that’s the exact same set up that I use .. I got mine used, never been shot for $50.00 dollars, it’s a tack driver and hits hard ...!! There’s even a trigger adjustment in the internals, nice 👍 hunt, great video ...!!
I prefer an Enfield Whitworth or a 50 cal Pennsylvania Rifle. The PA rifle is extremely powerful due to its longer barrel and 120g of fffg triple se7en powder with a .50 cal cast minie, and the whitworth is a meat shredder with its hexagonal bullets.
A nice 44 is a great companion. For dispatching.
No doubt
I love my bow hunting but smoke poles are my first love congrats on a nice hog love your videos
Thank you Rob!!

My Lyman 50 caliber Deerstalker is dead-on with 70gr of black powder and a patched round ball. Too bad FWC doesn't allow baiting on public WMA's.
Maybe some day!
