For Scott to shoot these crazy rifles after what he went through just amazes me! He deserves the viewers he attracts and then some. That barrel flash looked insane, like shooting a stick off a stick of dynamite! Looking at the lead, it reminds me of what a civil war soldier must have felt like walking through a hail of mine balls, only add 50x the energy!
The 1861 Springfield rifle-musket, the 1853 Enfield rifle-musket and the Confederate Richmond rifle-musket all used a .58 caliber Minie ball. These rifles and projectiles lent themselves to such great accuracy as to make frontal assaults virtually suicidal. Half of the Confederate soldiers participating in Pickett's Charge did not make it to the Union lines. NONE of the Union soldiers assaulting Marye's Heights made it to the wall.
@@Steve-ev6vx scott said in the video that only 2 of those guns are made, and the ammo is scarce. i think we have reason to believe that 3 rounds is a lot.

700 BMG.. Scott, at this point, you make dream guns come true. This is awesome. Absolutely awesome. Keep up the amazing once in a life time work, sire!
Hey Scott that .700 BMG made me think of this anti tank rifle from WW1. The tankgewehr m1918, for your next target zombie torso all the way, the sheer devastation of that round would be mind blowing Cheers from Canada :)
Hey Scott! I'm not sure if it's possible to find one in a condition to be shot or whether any ammunition is available for it, but there's a REALLY big rifle from WWI called the M1918 Tankgewehr. It's an anti tank rifle that fires a 13mm round. It would probably be similar to .50 BMG. Probably only something you can find in a museum, but if there's someone out there that could make a replica, it would be awesome to see!
there are Tankgewehrs on the market still, Ian ala Forgotten weapons put a few rounds through one to hypothetically test if it could in fact punch through tank armor of the era.
I sold 7 rounds of 14.5 x 114 mm dad picked up at a gun show decades ago on Gunbroker a couple years ago. Those 7 rounds brought $400. Massive round, and dwarfs the 50 BMG. HUGE case capacity. Rounds are a touch longer than a dollar bill. Russian round. Machine gun round, but have been shoulder fired rifles chambered in it. I have pictures, but cannot post them here, but you can look it up. Shoots a 994 grain AP bullet at 3300 fps!

Hey Scott, I think you should get a scale that records the kick of these large guns. It would be interesting to see if this gun or the 4 bore has the bigger kick.
Definitely need some comparisons with the four bore! See the difference between lower speed higher mass, and higher speed lower mass for wound channels, penetrating power, etc. since they both produce similar levels of recoil.
Came here to say this. Also curious what it would be like if the bullets collided…. But I doubt Scott wants to shoot either with the other should the experiment fail. Good excuse to collab with Smarter Everyday though!
4 bore definitely kicks harder. Plus, 4 bore bullet is twice as heavy. No comparison between the momentum of the two. I'm not signing up to shoot either one, but if I had to choose, it would be the 700. lol
Largest rifle I’ve ever had the privilege of firing was a Boys anti-tank rifle, still chambered in its original .55 caliber. That one nearly dislocated my shoulder and the percussive blast is a force to be reckoned with
@@TheMrPeteChannel of course I was prone, that thing has a solid wood stock with no padding. Even with hearing protection it was incredibly loud, I can’t believe people used to shoot these with no hearing protection. I also once got to hold (but not shoot) a Javelin missile launcher at a military base, that thing weighed a ton
He’s gotta find a .950.JDJ. It’s the largest shoulder fired rifle with 277 lbs of felt recoil. And a 2 Gauge Shotgun should do the trick. Those are the largest shoulder fired rifle and shotgun.
Scott is always going to dig out some incredibly rare monster of a rifle no matter what. Defiantly should introduce this to some zombie torsos, it'll be a pretty destructive sight
I never thought you could fit 1000usd worth of ammo in a rifle without even a detachable magazine. Also, that cinderblock bullet mushroomed a little too well 😅
Suggestion. A needle nose bodkin shaped bullet that is so long that first you have to load the shell then you need to muzzle load the bullet into the shell because attached to the shell it would be 3 inches too long to fit breach loaded.
Scott I’ve been watching for years and the catching of brass after your shots in the past months is pretty badass! Btw 6 shoulder hits from that behemoth is impressive.
You and your elephant gun-itis has inspired me to the point where I went out and bought one for myself. It's a Win. Model 70 in .458 Win. Magnum. I haven't shot it yet, but I just received some ammo, so I'm all set. I have a .375 H&H Mag, but I needed MORE POWER!
Scott you should design a test to show how hard these rifles kick. Like put one in front of one of those machines that show how hard you punch and let it recoil into that
In a video with Eddie Hall he had a backdrop with lines at one inch intervals to show show far back the two men were pushed as they fired ever heavier rifles
I'd definitely love to see it up against bullet proof vests on ballistic gel dummy's like you did with the 4 bore. Curious if it'd be similar results or go through the vest.
The nice thing is that ammo might be easier to get, making an entire rimmed cartridge for a 700 nitro requires a lot of work, necking up a 50 BMG round might not be as difficult
@@playercharacter117 it’s actually pretty clearly * not * a BMG case simply necked up; dunno if it has a parent case or not but you’d be splitting brass constantly if you tried using BMG brass in this thing
Look up 20mm and especially 30mm rounds fired by aircraft-mounted rotary autocannons (think very big miniguns). Those rounds make this ".700 BMG" look like a peashooter, and fire at 4200-6000 RPM, as much as 10 times the fire rate of an M2HB Browning firing .50 BMG. M61 Vulcan: 20x102mm, 1580 gr, 3450 FPS, 6000 RPM GAU-8 Avenger: 30x173mm, 6096 gr, 3324 FPS, 4200 RPM
About 25 years ago a friend of my dads build a 50 BMG bolt gun similar to a Mauser 98. He did not put a muzzle break on it and built it too light in weight. When he fired it the first time it was from the prone and it shattered his clavicle and put him out of commission for a while.
Yea those breaks are on there for a reason. Our body is only meant to handle so much. Scott is an alien that landed on Earth as a child. Just nobody said anything.
What a cute little gun, also legal in the UK, IIRC. But I was surprised at the combined lack of penetration and kinetic energy delivery. I would have expected more of one or the other.
I'm glad that Scott's "special relationship with 50 BMG" didn't get so bad that he couldn't share more videos like this with us, because I enjoy the humor and sheer magnitude of force behind these massive calibers and the firearms built to shoot them.
WELL all in all I thought SCOTT from Kentucky Bulistics wouldn't want A relationship with the 50 BMG after what it did to him, BY blowing up in his face, BROKE his face and nose👃 MAKING A hole 🕳 in his throat, BROKE his shooting hand ✋, ALSO by SCOTT plugging up the hole in neck with his thumb 👍🏻 and t-shirt 👕 that stopped SCOTT from Kentucky Bulistics from bleeding to death, THE worst 😫 part is when they did that full surgery from your neck all the way down past your chest cavity. SOON as Kentucky Bulistics gets back on the air again (road again) the friend's that are with you won't let you touch her (the 50 BMG.) SO SCOTT here's the question how can you still have A relationship with A gun that almost ended your life and Kentucky Bulistics show?? ALSO SCOTT you have video's where The 50 BMG Exploaded again and if it did it not only once but 2 times wouldn't you call that RIFLE Being Unsafe to be around Y or N ??
@@justinl.shults7217Two of the 3 times it exploded was intentional. He was purposely stressing it and using it incorrectly to make it explode. When he had his accident, he was using ammo that was tampered with, it wasn't something that would ever happen with proper ammunition. It's a perfectly safe weapon as long as you're using it like it's meant to be used.
There is actually a bigger cartridge based on the .50 BMG case. And that's the .729 Jongman! Created by an Australian gunsmith. That's .50 BMG necked up to 12 Gauge, which I believe is the largest diameter bullet it can contain. 😛 Shoot it!
The fact he can hold steady and pull the trigger on some of these without flinching knowing full well what is about to happen to his shoulder is amazing... I dont think i could do it...
But why can’t he destroy them AFTER getting a few readings? I’d find it very interesting and get disappointed with him just wrecking them before even using them once. It’s kinda a waste :/
@@AC-st2xe I can’t remember which video but he compared velocity with different barrel lengths and ammo. I found it really interesting and wish he did some more of that content.
I really want to see what these big bullets do at range. That would be really cool to see if they can do long range,or just become bricks past 200-300 yards
i'd say bricks. big, blunt nose of the bullet for one, and 2000fps at the muzzle really isnt all that fast. i mean its really quick for that sheer amount of mass but its slow for bullet standards. that said, even when it loses speed at range, i think the weight of the projectile is enough to do a load of damage at speeds where other bullets would barely do anything. like how being hit with a softball at 40mph hurts more than a baseball at 60.
Chambering a round sounds more like a damn artillery gun breech closing than a RIFLE. I've said it several times before, Scott WILL be the first man to shoulder fire a howitzer! EDIT: It doesn't have near as much penetration as I expected, but the energy dump in 2 feet or so is insane. The tissue damage in anything living (soon to NOT be) would be catastrophic.
Much respect to you Scott, would like for you to watch the barrel of that 700 BMG as you shot the condiments. You can see the barrel slightly move up from the wood. Be safe.
Was surprised it didn't have a muzzle brake. FULL felt recoil. lol That being said, I have a feeling those were very 'safe' loads. Room for a little more heat. ;)
Actually, a little over a decade ago some guys started playing with Savage bolt action slug guns and created the 12 Gauge From Hell project. They took 50 BMG brass and necked it up to .729 and put rims on the case heads. Very similar to this actually.
Wow. Scott always blows away expectations... i had a bunch of guns that i expected, but this was not one of them... i was expecting like a 600 overkill or a 585 nyati, but this almost takes it to 700 Hubel Express levels... (1000gr at 3000fps) rest in peace ed hubel
.70 caliber is somewhere close to the diameter of a 14-gauge slug (give or take). Bit slimmer than 12 (.729 cal.), bit broader than 16 (.662 cal.). Fun fact: .950 JDJ is bigger than a 4-gauge (.935 cal.). 0:36 "Load the torpedo!" ~Hickok45

@@clothar23 IMO small dogs bark loudest and the cheeriest guys are actually the most angry. That and the way he manhandles tables, i'd call him an Angry Marine XD
The Emperor approves!
well he did wear the Doom Slayer armor in the Super Shotgun video that he did (which was pretty funny)
lol
Scott is the only man who singlehandedly increases my attention span. Great video!
Just the sound of the bolt closing with a round in it was “Beastly”. 🤘😎
IKR? Sounded more like artillery.
The fact that such a high caliber rifle can hold 3 rounds is absolutely astonishing, can't wait to see you give this thing high capacity tactical mag
The rounds take up the same amount of space as .50 bmg. They usually hold more than 3.
@@Steve-ev6vx scott said in the video that only 2 of those guns are made, and the ammo is scarce. i think we have reason to believe that 3 rounds is a lot.
he mentions his accident in every video, but honestly the accident itself is what earns you the right to talk about it all you want. Rock on big man
I didn’t even know such a gun existed, the other night I was on a big bore binge and found out the 4 bore has a big brother the “2 Bore” 1.326 inch bore that shoots a 3500 grain bullet at 1500fps a few of them are out there and I feel like Scott needs one 👍
On top of everything else the fact that it has an internal magazine is crazy. The fun you have in these videos is infectious.
I'll suggest Furbies as a future target.
Bad idea. Shooting cursed targets is how you get a cursed range
Then it's too late as there have already been many Furbies felled on that range.
700 BMG.. Scott, at this point, you make dream guns come true. This is awesome. Absolutely awesome. Keep up the amazing once in a life time work, sire!
Fascinating results on those cement blocks! I've never seen anything like this before. Great, fun video and presentation! Love it!
God bless all here.
Hey Scott that .700 BMG made me think of this anti tank rifle from WW1. The tankgewehr m1918, for your next target zombie torso all the way, the sheer devastation of that round would be mind blowing Cheers from Canada :)
He did a 4 bore vs torso in fact, he used two of them!
@@Beidoss oh damn XD now I see it XD
@@Rixolinot surprised, it is a pretty fricin cool rifle
I sold 7 rounds of 14.5 x 114 mm dad picked up at a gun show decades ago on Gunbroker a couple years ago. Those 7 rounds brought $400. Massive round, and dwarfs the 50 BMG. HUGE case capacity. Rounds are a touch longer than a dollar bill. Russian round. Machine gun round, but have been shoulder fired rifles chambered in it. I have pictures, but cannot post them here, but you can look it up. Shoots a 994 grain AP bullet at 3300 fps!
@@n2omike Aye I know the type. Anti materiel round fired from KPVT cannons. Anti-air or light vehicle. Impressive firepower. The price tag doesn't surprise me one bit haha.
@@Rixoli Wonder if Ian could hook Scott up, or point him to an auction for the rifle. Love both of them as content creators. Would be nice to see a collab of some kind :)
I love how your channel has evolved and has allowed you to get your hands on some of the rarest and coolest guns ever made.
Thanks for showing viewers that you can have fun and be gun safe,.keep up the good work thanks.
Next up on Kentucky Ballistics, Scott will be shoulder firing a 16 inch naval gun!
I’d pay to see this
Not yet. He still has to 1 hand a 20mm
Thanks for acquiring these extremely unique guns and showing them to us. Really cool. Was wondering if you could get your hands on a tankgewehr m1918 or a PTRS 41. Would love to see those big guns in action.
Maybe even a Boyes anti tank rifle as well
So much packed into each video, the little skits are brilliant. Would love for Scott to do a walkthrough video tour of his armoury.

Honestly your my favorite youtuber. With your humor and actual acting skills and skits. I always get a smile out of your videos. Thanks Scott and Scott's Dad for such an awesome few minutes of my day.
Scott you’re going to have to find a .950 JDJ to add to your collection at this rate 👍🤣. Great stuff my friend 🎉
Yep
Neither the JDJ or this monstrosity needs to exsist lmao. I want one,
he still never got the .600 OK i don't think
There are MANY guntuber videos on here, but the comedy, information, and FUN sets it apart from the rest, except Garand thumb, They are TIED indefinitely , Both are intoxicatingly funny , Thanks for all your hard work Scott, Stick a thumb in it, Get ya pull !
good to see that Scooter is responding better to constructive criticism. That's real growth right there.
That first shot of the .700 BMG and how quick it hit the steel target was incredible.
It forced the target back about two feet if you watch the slowmo
I was honestly not ready for how loud it rang the steel. Good grief!
Hey Scott, I think you should get a scale that records the kick of these large guns. It would be interesting to see if this gun or the 4 bore has the bigger kick.
Great idea, bet the difference between Scott felt recoil, and the actual push/rise could be interesting to see
Seems to me a muzzle break would be needed on this rifle
@@lance3540only if you don't like windows existing in your neighborhood
@gratefulguy4130 well I have a barrett 50 I definitely wouldn't remove the muzzle break to shoot it
@@gratefulguy4130 and who the heck would shoot this in a neighborhood 😆
Definitely need some comparisons with the four bore! See the difference between lower speed higher mass, and higher speed lower mass for wound channels, penetrating power, etc. since they both produce similar levels of recoil.
Came here to say this. Also curious what it would be like if the bullets collided…. But I doubt Scott wants to shoot either with the other should the experiment fail. Good excuse to collab with Smarter Everyday though!
Would love to see that comparison.
4 bore definitely kicks harder. Plus, 4 bore bullet is twice as heavy. No comparison between the momentum of the two. I'm not signing up to shoot either one, but if I had to choose, it would be the 700. lol
The way that rifle sounds when rechambering is so smooth and crisp.
Largest rifle I’ve ever had the privilege of firing was a Boys anti-tank rifle, still chambered in its original .55 caliber. That one nearly dislocated my shoulder and the percussive blast is a force to be reckoned with
I hope you were prone!
The energy transfer is flipping crazy!! Where can you go from here?
Watching Scott pick up hot bullets never gets old🤣🤣🤣
The fact that the impact and spread of the ballistic gel split the table is crazy.
He’s gotta find a .950.JDJ. It’s the largest shoulder fired rifle with 277 lbs of felt recoil. And a 2 Gauge Shotgun should do the trick. Those are the largest shoulder fired rifle and shotgun.
The fourth block was just falling over, but then a piece of the top of the second block flies over and smacks it. It's the shard of #2 that breaks #4.
Scott is always going to dig out some incredibly rare monster of a rifle no matter what. Defiantly should introduce this to some zombie torsos, it'll be a pretty destructive sight
BIG BIG GUN
Your first congratulations
Lol i said almost the same thing as you
@@unavailable1092i mean technically he’s 2nd, Kentucky ballistics was first
Ver good.👍
Was I third??
Scott needs his own caliber..
He has in revolver caliber lol
Easy, area code, name.
Yeah he does
1000 BMG lmao
It’s called the 14.9mm SOP
My Grand baby thinks you're funny and so do I. Keep up the good work.
Two things. That 700 BMG is a terrifyingly exciting piece of hardware. Second, those jeans jamming a wood chipper is seriously impressive, I'm sold.
I never thought you could fit 1000usd worth of ammo in a rifle without even a detachable magazine. Also, that cinderblock bullet mushroomed a little too well 😅
pp bullet lol
That would be awesome. Something to measure the impact force would be too.
I'd definitely love to see it up against bullet proof vests on ballistic gel dummy's like you did with the 4 bore. Curious if it'd be similar results or go through the vest.
I love the implication of BMG that this could be used as a machine gun round
No aircraft could take a hit. Would not want to be in a tank with armor piercing round. Just all around NASTY!
The nice thing is that ammo might be easier to get, making an entire rimmed cartridge for a 700 nitro requires a lot of work, necking up a 50 BMG round might not be as difficult
@@joewiese4174even a Bradley might survive much less a Abrams or a T 90 they can survive shots from 120mm canons
M61 Vulcan: 20x102mm, 1580 gr, 3450 FPS, 6000 RPM
GAU-8 Avenger: 30x173mm, 6096 gr, 3324 FPS, 4200 RPM
About 25 years ago a friend of my dads build a 50 BMG bolt gun similar to a Mauser 98. He did not put a muzzle break on it and built it too light in weight. When he fired it the first time it was from the prone and it shattered his clavicle and put him out of commission for a while.
Yea those breaks are on there for a reason. Our body is only meant to handle so much. Scott is an alien that landed on Earth as a child. Just nobody said anything.
I love that you can see Scott really going for more of the slo-mo shots, and hope he gets better equipment for future videos!
What a cute little gun, also legal in the UK, IIRC.
But I was surprised at the combined lack of penetration and kinetic energy delivery. I would have expected more of one or the other.
Disappointing penetration. Would have liked to have seen what a monolithic solid would have done. Needs more sectional density I think.
For now but they were looking into banning rifles with high energy because of all those criminal we have shooting people with 50 cals.
I'm glad that Scott's "special relationship with 50 BMG" didn't get so bad that he couldn't share more videos like this with us, because I enjoy the humor and sheer magnitude of force behind these massive calibers and the firearms built to shoot them.
WELL all in all I thought SCOTT from Kentucky Bulistics wouldn't want A relationship with
the 50 BMG after what it did to him,
BY blowing up in his face,
BROKE his face and nose👃
MAKING A hole 🕳 in his throat,
BROKE his shooting hand ✋,
ALSO by SCOTT plugging up the hole in neck with his thumb 👍🏻 and t-shirt 👕 that stopped SCOTT from Kentucky Bulistics from bleeding to death,
THE worst 😫 part is when they did that full surgery from your neck all the way down past your chest cavity.
SOON as Kentucky Bulistics gets back on the air again (road again) the friend's that are with you won't let you touch her (the 50 BMG.)
SO SCOTT here's the question how can you still have A relationship with A gun that almost ended your life and Kentucky Bulistics show??
ALSO SCOTT you have video's where The 50 BMG Exploaded again and if it did it not only once but 2 times wouldn't you call that RIFLE Being Unsafe to be around
Y or N ??
@@justinl.shults7217 That's what I meant. A hint of sarcasm on the "special relationship" part.
@@justinl.shults7217Two of the 3 times it exploded was intentional. He was purposely stressing it and using it incorrectly to make it explode. When he had his accident, he was using ammo that was tampered with, it wasn't something that would ever happen with proper ammunition. It's a perfectly safe weapon as long as you're using it like it's meant to be used.
watching your videos with my sons has been so amazing, God bless you and your family Scot.
i love it that you actually have fun doin the stuff you do, i ain't much of a gun person but man is it fun to see you just have a blast
Fine craftsmanship has gone to far and I love it. Keep up the good work
There is actually a bigger cartridge based on the .50 BMG case. And that's the .729 Jongman! Created by an Australian gunsmith. That's .50 BMG necked up to 12 Gauge, which I believe is the largest diameter bullet it can contain. 😛 Shoot it!
But the question is...can you put it in a shotgun?
The fact he can hold steady and pull the trigger on some of these without flinching knowing full well what is about to happen to his shoulder is amazing... I dont think i could do it...
Ever since Scott accidentally destroyed his chronograph, it’s just become a natural thing to destroy more with every video he showcases a new gun 💀
But why can’t he destroy them AFTER getting a few readings? I’d find it very interesting and get disappointed with him just wrecking them before even using them once. It’s kinda a waste :/
When did he actually use the chronograph?
@@AC-st2xe I can’t remember which video but he compared velocity with different barrel lengths and ammo. I found it really interesting and wish he did some more of that content.

What a fantastic personality.
Watching Scott shoot the ballistic gel almost knocked me backwards out of my chair....that is a BIG Friggin bullet. Great vid...
I mean, yeah. Those are lead bullets with a blunt nose. They should make green tip for it.
Much respect to you Scott, would like for you to watch the barrel of that 700 BMG as you shot the condiments. You can see the barrel slightly move up from the wood. Be safe.
I noticed some flexing with the subsequent water carboys shot.
The precision sounds of that 700bmg bolt action is so calming and soothing that it can put me to bed at night. Beautiful precision machining
I absolutely love the sound of that rifle chambering a round…. Great video as always!
700 BMG is cool. I would love to see you rig up a lead sled to actually measure the felt recoil. Then compare all of your big favorites.
Get Project Farm out there, he can make a jig for anything!
Was surprised it didn't have a muzzle brake. FULL felt recoil. lol That being said, I have a feeling those were very 'safe' loads. Room for a little more heat. ;)
Scott’s literally the only UA-camr who makes ads fun🏅🏅🏅
Great Video, love Scott's sense of humour! It's great fun watching him shoot these exotic, mammoth guns!
Actually, a little over a decade ago some guys started playing with Savage bolt action slug guns and created the 12 Gauge From Hell project. They took 50 BMG brass and necked it up to .729 and put rims on the case heads. Very similar to this actually.
I'm sorry. Necked up? That had to look wild
I have a Savage bolt gun in 12 gauage with a rifled barrel. Not sure the action is robust enough for a high pressure custom build.
@@perarduaadastra873 The original 12 GAFH was built with a custom thick barrel. Others made less potent versions with standard barrels.
I'm quite surprised Scott hasn't got himself a 20mm of some description yet.🤣
