Something I love so much about your channel is that you start with a plan and even when it goes sideways and not how you want you just roll with it and adapt to what’s happening and end up with a different but awesome project. A great attitude for art and life!
Nick, you do you! No matter what you create, I am entranced. Your personality is contagious. I will watch with my now 6 year old granddaughter and we laugh together with your funny antics. I am curious about many creative processes and I share this with her. Thank you for being you!

16:06 as the polished bowl was spinning, the red shining through the brim of the bowl looked so awesome!!! It turned out way better than i thought it would, and i thought it was already gonna be awesome! It looks amazing Nick!
Don't feel like you have to stick with just woodturning, most people will stay regardless. As someone who does the same work I always end up changing what I do and I always come back to woodturning. Seeing different things on your channel is refreshing. I'm a disabled 34 yo that works from home doing this. I live in a small apartment with my wife and two kids so my "shop" is a workbench 5 feet from my bed. That's when you know you have a good wife lol she has no problem with the sawdust ect from the bandsaw and lathe. Keep doing what your doing you've definitely inspired me to try new things from time to time.
Nick, Are the bowls you make out of that resin "food safe?" I also have a challenge for you. Make another one....yeah, I know what you said, but listen to me anyway. Fill a mould with the cork, place a wire mesh with gaps that are large but not so large that the corks will come out over the top and adhere it in place with tape or something. Then, using Blue and Yellow for the colors, pour the epoxy in through the gaps in the mould. You will probably still need to do the pour a couple of times because the cork will probably soak up a considerable amount. Would love to see the results of this process, and you are the only one that can make the miracle work! Keep up the excellent work!
I really like that you are using that more eco friendly resin Nick! That is really really cool of you and I hope other makers start using it more when they can
I absolutely love how creative you are! You take, in my opinion, some of the BEST stuff and encase it in resin! The lego Santa in a bottle has still got to be one of my favorites. You have a wonderful sense of humor and an amazing imagination. I always look forward to your new videos! Thanks for the excellent entertainment. I look forward to your next video. Also that color pencil table is AMAZING!

I would love to see you do it again except for lining up the corks standing up inside of the mould. Maybe you could use some weights on top of some plastic wrap to hold everything down once you get everything lined up. I hope you do end up making ANOTHER cork bowl!
Nick always makes the best products. Please come to the us i would love to hang out. I would love to show you my homemade wooden chess set that I made.
Love the way that turned out. I was thinking next time you make a bowl though, You might want to super glue the cork pieces into specific pattern, so that way you can control the look a little bit. Also, for a wine connoisseur, a cork cutting board might be an interesting project. Or a set of cork in resin coasters.
Not sure how well the superglue would do with/to the resin, but I have seen small amounts of resin used to "glue" bits in place & cured before adding addition layer or layers of resin.
@@tehladyjade... I've seen several makers who use resin and fhey use super glue at the same time. Although a lot of them will use a UV cured resin. They simply put a drop between the two pieces to be glued, hit it with a UV light and it's bonded. But using the correct cyanoacetate glue, it should be no problem.
I was worried that the corks wouldn’t be strong/sturdy enough to turn but you surprised me. I know it was kind of a fix it moment but I REALLY LOVE the red lip on the bowl. I really like your wide variety of projects and to be totally honest... I come more for you comedy than the projects but the projects are really great. Thanks for sharing!
