    This is honestly a fantastic all around car. It has speed, sports performance, luxury, safety, and practicality all combined in a beautiful package.
    These S5 even can easily be tuned to have 415hp and 375lb•ft of torque in a simple engine remap, unlocking major potential.

      Unbearable Pain Beautiful car, only if it was more rear biased.

    • @Unb3arablePain
      @Unb3arablePain 9 років тому +1

      Charles Lin I think 40:60 front:rear bias is decent, but I do agree. 30:70 would be better. Remember that Audi RS and R models have a 15:85 front/rear bias.

      Unbearable Pain I don't speak out of experience, but there's all this fuss about how Audi cars have too much understeer. I'd take Audi for its style and class over a bmw, but it would be hands down the best if it was more tail happy.

    • @Unb3arablePain
      @Unb3arablePain 9 років тому +2

      Charles Lin The understeer is caused by the engine being shoved wayyy in front of the front axle so that passengers have adequate leg room. Obviously if you want a neutral handling car this isn't ideal. However, the understeer "problem" is over exaggerated. Yes, the car understeers near the limit (like most cars do, even tail happy ones) however, it feels like it's on rails. Sure there's understeer but with some maintenance throttle the AWD pulls you through corners safely and smoothly. You might be feeling a lot of understeer but the car is still careening through the corners, you're actually going pretty fast but you just *feel* slow since it's understeering. However, once you get over that sensation and realize the Audi actually can cut through a corner, it builds a LOT of confidence. Cars like a Porsche 911 will feel very squirrely and unstable at high speeds, especially in the wet. Audis with the front engine design and AWD may understeer, but they're stable at high speeds and can go through the corners fast without feeling like you might die at any second.
      It's why the TT-S is known as the perfect "My first sports car", since it will still handle well but keep you safe WHILE you feel safe enough to test it's capabilities.

    He keeps saying the seat memory function is for both front seats. The 1 and 2 buttons on the driver door panel are for the two profiles you can store for the driver's seat (and side mirrors) where two people drive the car. From Audi manual: The memory function allows you to quickly and
    easily store and recall personal seating profiles for the driver. The memory function is operated through the master key and the memory buttons in the driver's door .

      I bought one a few months ago. I had the A5 before this one. No comparison in features and power. It has a supercharged engine, not turbocharged. Problem is, I love the fact that this has a "Supercharged" decal on the sides...in Canada, we get "V6T". So when a slimy BMW M3 pulls up beside you, they never know you can blow them away.

      Does the engine in your S5 burn oil; apparently that is whats going on for a lot of S5 owners out there. This issue is the only thing that keeps me away from this car.

    • @BackEddy29
      @BackEddy29 10 років тому +3

      No problems so far, and I drive it hard. My A5 used to burn a lot of oil, that was because the engine was too small and turbocharged for a heavy car. No Problem wiith my S5 in terms of burning oil. Checked yesterday after 5 months of hard driving and it was fine.

    I like my 2012 S5 with the V8 in it :) I personally think the pre-facelift version looks more meaner and defined than the new look. Plus everyone loves the rumble of the V8, especially with a AWE Exhaust on it ;)

    Nice video, AutoMoho!! I have a 2014 S4. It idles rough (cabin vibrates) ever since day one. The tach stays still at 750 rpm but there is a very noticeable vibration throughout the cabin. I took it to the dealer and they told me everything checks out fine. However I am not convinced. A car in this segment shouldn't idle like mine does.
    Question: how rough should these S4/S5 idle? Should I feel cabin vibration when idling?

    • @AUTOMOHO
      @AUTOMOHO  10 років тому +1

      hi, personally i dont owned the s4/s5..im assuming light vibration is ok, My 2014 cla 45 amg do vibrate lightly when i just started the car, after its warm up, there is no more vibration..if dealer said it is all fine than you should be good to go. dont worry too much. if youre still not convinced by what dealer told you, have another local dealer check it out, since it is still under warranty. just to be on the safe side.

    Personally like the exterior of BMW a bit better. The exterior on the Audi has the cool looking front grill, but that is really about it. The interior is definitely a step above the BMW however.
