One of the best intros ever to hit an RPG, Virginia was one of the best, and was often the strongest on the team. What I really loved was the music, the western atmosphere, and the story to it. Even though during that time I was mostly into the PSX games still, it was one of the first to get me out of the era, and into the newer era of PS2. Since this game I have amassed a huge pile of PS2 games, this one game got me into collecting them. Next stop is my shop! :)
Definitely one of the best rpg's of the PS2 era. This game had everything, great story and characters, fantastic soundtrack, tons of secrets and extra stuff, and I believe it was one of the first games to use cel shading, pretty neat.
I used to watch my dad play this when i was a little girl, and Virginia was my favorite because she was the girl leader. =] It wasn't long until i tried playing it myself, and loved it... but we only had the demo version D: I always thought Wild ARMs 3 had the prettiest music and one of the best RPGs i've ever seen. Watching this gave me goosebumps, and i now have the song in my ipod. x) Thanks for the uploads, this intro's awesome & brings memories^^
Without a doubt, one of my favorite songs in all of video game history. Hearing this when you booted up your game made EVERYTHING that came afterwards ten times better. The game itself was pretty good, but this song alone catapulted it into being one of my faves for a very long time.
'Our memories (of this game) will live on forever...' When three other male Drifters who are all older and more experienced than you grow to accept you as their leader, you know you have insane chutzpah/persuasive skills.
Ah wilds arms 3...one of my favorite games, I still have it and pop it in the PS2 sometimes just for a sort of nostalgic feeling and memories of the great time I had when I first played it. The game is a timeless classic.
god this game brings back so many memories it had the best everything imo the best combat system, the best gameplay, the best characters, just the closest to perfect of the series
nostalgia all over my body D: i spent sooo much time on this game....from 1 to 3....this was the last game i played before my PS2 died for good....would buy another one to play this again
@ElementalEcho This video is actually very well done, and the lyrics are very powerful. The video shows the close bond that the group forms throughout their adventures, showing them together more often than the first two games videos. The fact is, the older videos show very little of their friendships, usually show casing the characters one by one, which is far more like an anime opening than this one, showing the characters together in most scenes, as they are together 90% of the time.
hehehe this brings back some memories. This was one of the best wild arms games in the series.Second only to the one with Rudy as the main hero. Thanks for the upload
The Whistling is more reminiscent of the intro songs of the first two games. The first one had the wild west style guitar and whistle, and the second one had that trumpet that gets stuck in your head. They are both instrumentals yet they are both more iconic than 3's.
When you start the game all the way up to when you finish all four character's introductions, the theme is whistled. If you search "Wild Arms 3 advanced wind whistle" you'll find the first version.
Ah. I love this game :D Thank you so much for this song, I've been looking for it for the past like..ever D: I wish I had the full version, but I'm happy with this
I never got tired of that theme..I use to let it play out each time I woul play this game. And it never got boring because the theme (as far as video) kept changing depending on where you were in the story it was awesome!
Thank you for the links (and video here)! I was just importing my CDs with Media Monkey and I remembered the English version on the soundtrack isn't the one in the localized game.
@Fayt13th Great buy, really, this wild arms is awesome, and yes you can change the character in the normal gameplay, and both the characters have their tools, just like the first two wild arms
I remember when playing through the game I would always watch the intro after loading my save. On very rare occasions the intro would be in Japanese or a whistled version. I still to this day don't know what triggered that, but it was pretty rare.
This game series never got enough attention in my opinion. It is sad that the reign of turn-based RPGs has ended. I can't find any good story-driven games anymore that aren't dual analog. These games had great music too. I think that can't be denied. I may have to hunt down the soundtrack one of these years. ;)
There's and even earlier opening than this: If you save and quit before finishing all 4 characters' intros, when you come back you get an opening with a whistle instead of lyrics.
yeah as you progressed the opening changed like an anime when you quit your game its shows ending credit like an anime too, i wish more games would follow this its kinda cool!
@thecomputerist As I said, death spasm. All it takes for a gun to fire is that finger to twitch..and you try moving before you shoot, I think the other guy will start running and gunning too.
Yes there was there is a Whistling version until you beat the Prologue of the game once you do and do the first boss battle and are throw off the train than you get this intro.
This game was indeed a rare gem, the women wore actual clothing, had character and dignity, and where not passive plot devices. The men who learnt to cooperate, and chose only to fight as a last resort where celebrated over the brash and aggressive ones. the story was rich with twists and turns, its own folk lore, culture, and was really immersive. how did we come from this and turn to regurgitating zombie fps, racing games, and abominations like ff 13, or call of duty?
So, I just managed to get hold of a copy of Wild ARMs 2 for the first time (it never came out over here in England)... and I just noticed that Janus' weapon is a Bayonet like what Ashley uses :P

Love this opening, also love how it adjusted to your progress in the story too :D.

Nerds: "There are not enough strong female protagonists!!"
Virginia: "AM I A JOKE TO YOU"
I used to watch my dad play this when i was a little girl, and Virginia was my favorite because she was the girl leader. =] It wasn't long until i tried playing it myself, and loved it... but we only had the demo version D:

this opening is just to good to listen to i could never skip it and loved how it would change through out the story. A epic game
Without a doubt, one of my favorite songs in all of video game history. Hearing this when you booted up your game made EVERYTHING that came afterwards ten times better. The game itself was pretty good, but this song alone catapulted it into being one of my faves for a very long time.
Damn, after 14 years, this is still one of the best openings I've ever seen.
I've been listening to Wild Arms music a lot lately and really feel like replaying the games, especially this one.
'Our memories (of this game) will live on forever...'
When three other male Drifters who are all older and more experienced than you grow to accept you as their leader, you know you have insane chutzpah/persuasive skills.
WhiteFangofWar Except Jet though. Jet's younger than all of them.
Just bought this game at a vintage game store. It's amazing.
I just love Wild Arms 3. I've been playing it since I was 12. Great times, and this is one DAMN GOOD RPG.
"there's a fire burning in my heart, to shine when all is torn apart." favorite part :)
Ah wilds arms 3...one of my favorite games, I still have it and pop it in the PS2 sometimes just for a sort of nostalgic feeling and memories of the great time I had when I first played it. The game is a timeless classic.
not heard this song in a very long time. Moment I heard it brought everything back.
This song is epic. I get chills everytime i hear it. The singer they picked to do this has such a powerful voice.
god this game brings back so many memories it had the best everything imo the best combat system, the best gameplay, the best characters, just the closest to perfect of the series
Thank you so much for this upload! I have been looking for this version everywhere. Jet Enduro!!
WOOHOO! Wild Arms 3 coming to PS4 via emulation! I am so excited!
I'm really excited also!!!!
nostalgia all over my body D: i spent sooo much time on this game....from 1 to 3....this was the last game i played before my PS2 died for good....would buy another one to play this again
I personally liked this opening. It don't have much story content, but the song fits really great with their adventure's scenes.
Recently got this game again and replaying the entire thing : D
God dammit this is like my fave PS2 game ever.
You have to get past the beginning scenes and once the four party members are together, they'll play the song once you load a save.

Wild Arms 3 is coming to PSN!
YES!!!!!
I'm glad to be one of the few that got the game platinumed
Oh man this opening is so awesome. Haven't even played the game and I love this!
The Whistling is more reminiscent of the intro songs of the first two games. The first one had the wild west style guitar and whistle, and the second one had that trumpet that gets stuck in your head. They are both instrumentals yet they are both more iconic than 3's.
man i played the heck out of this game as a kid. loved it so much. thanks for the up.
When you start the game all the way up to when you finish all four character's introductions, the theme is whistled. If you search "Wild Arms 3 advanced wind whistle" you'll find the first version.
Damn I loved this game! Its deferentially one of the hidden gems on the ps2. Need to play it again.

OMG I've been looking for this version, THANKS SO MUCH
Damn! Wild ARMs always seems to have excellent opening sequences!
Thank you for the links (and video here)! I was just importing my CDs with Media Monkey and I remembered the English version on the soundtrack isn't the one in the localized game.
Currently playing this game and loving every single bit of it :)
I was never able to skip this on my game. I just couldn't, I loved listening to it too much.

Wow this brought back so many good memories. Fun times...now I want to play it again lol.
Ah, the nostalgia. One day I should really get back to this game.
this brings back so many memories...
Among all Wild Arms Games, 3 had the very best Intro of them all. The singer is just freaking badass awesome.
i really liked the fact the openings changed depending on your stage in the game
Oh man, so much drama on this video...at least it was enjoyable ^^
Thanks for uploading this, brings back good memories.
I remember this game wow that was sooo long ago. Fantastic game very depth and so many cool extra's :)
My heart is blazing by the end of this song
Great quality man!
Don't you just love how the anonymity of the internet creates such colorful attitude in people?
What an unbelievable good singer
How can anyone like dull whistles over this woman's beautiful voice?
THANK YOU so much for the download link :)

Best characters ever, and most difficult RPG. But man how I loved it. WANT A A SECOND PART!

@Fayt13th Great buy, really, this wild arms is awesome, and yes you can change the character in the normal gameplay, and both the characters have their tools, just like the first two wild arms
@ChrisShoxx Cool, my first time around playing the game was amazing. Good times!!!!!! I hope you're still enjoying it!!!
I remember when playing through the game I would always watch the intro after loading my save. On very rare occasions the intro would be in Japanese or a whistled version. I still to this day don't know what triggered that, but it was pretty rare.
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SONG!!!
dude i almost love u i've been looking for this damn songg 4ever

I'm playing this game for the first time after finding it for £1.50 in a secondhand shop. Really enjoying it! Great game!
The openings were like different seasons in a anime. I used to love seeing what was the new evil for each "episode"
This game alone was such a turn over for the ps2. Looks gameplay and characters just awesome.
Love that part where Virginia has her arm extended, and drops the gun a little bit. I get nostalgiac every time I see it.
@Acelif There are two versions. Um I think if you press certain buttons on your controller you get the vocal version.
Normally I don't like turn based combat but I LOVE this game.
I remember playing the demo of this game and consider it one of my favorite classic RPG. I should really go and get this game...
Happy to be of service.
There's and even earlier opening than this: If you save and quit before finishing all 4 characters' intros, when you come back you get an opening with a whistle instead of lyrics.
WOW... I dont know which is more interesting, the opening movie or the conversation... WA3 ROCKS!!!
@TheJboy88
It is absolutely fantastic.
yeah as you progressed the opening changed like an anime when you quit your game its shows ending credit like an anime too, i wish more games would follow this its kinda cool!
@thecomputerist As I said, death spasm. All it takes for a gun to fire is that finger to twitch..and you try moving before you shoot, I think the other guy will start running and gunning too.
i think this is the best opening of all the game series,if this is the best game i think we can discuss it,but definitely this is the best opening
Memories :)
My favorite WA3 intro for sure.
this game has 5 openings? amazing! :O
@Fayt13th Well sometimes what you need is the just tactics. Have you found the secret garden?
Timeless game in gameplay and visuals.
i use to reload my games over and over just to hear this song lmao
The intro changes after you beat the introduction chapters. The first theme is whistled, the second one is the one with lyrics.
OMG THAT WOULD BE THE GREATEST THING EVER!!
"no tomorrow"´s no regret!
those words changed my life
Finally found this version, the other english version makes little sense. This is the theme I sang along with in my youth every time I loaded my save.
This girl can sing
I remembered playing this when I was little...
I were dissapointed when i unlocked the singing version, the whistle one keeps the feeling of western so much better.
Yes, a truly awesome one easily found in the bargain bin nowadays.
Yes there was there is a Whistling version until you beat the Prologue of the game once you do and do the first boss battle and are throw off the train than you get this intro.
Greatest wild arm game its also got the best starting song!

So, I just managed to get hold of a copy of Wild ARMs 2 for the first time (it never came out over here in England)... and I just noticed that Janus' weapon is a Bayonet like what Ashley uses :P
I got like 3/4ths through this then got stuck, its been 4 years now I went back to try again and I have no idea whats happening :/
Is it me or do groups of people normally climb atop giant rocks or mountains to strike cool poses then immediately climb back down again?
