    Just want to say thanks on this vid. I was helping my dad install a front end loader on this JD 3046R. Could not get two of the hydraulic connections to mate. Did some googling and got your video. I never considered that the problem could be the implement. But it had been sitting outside for quite awhile and it was hot. I loosened a fitting, got some oil and everything went together like butter. Learned something new today so it's a good day. Thank you.

    Next time you're in Lewistown, MT, I owe you a beer. No, I owe you a steak dinner!! I've been fighting my couplers on my expensive green tractor for 3 years. Thanks to your instruction, never again!! If you're here on a Friday night, it will be prime rib.

    Man, you saved my bacon today! I’m a new tractor owner and removed my loader to service the tractor. The weather warmed up and I could NOT get my hydraulics recoupled. The last part of this video, releasing pressure at the first connection, allowed them to pop right back on. I wasted thirty minutes and a few bloody knuckles and a few thrown tools.

    Thanks, dude. I have these couplers on an auto lift in my garage.
    Been wrestling with these getting more and more difficult and then finally not connecting. Video came up first in Google search.
    Straightforward explanation. Solved in 2 minutes.
    Thank you kindly.

      Small bale loader. Lifts four small bales with C-shaped grappling hooks. Not sure of the official name. Works a charm, after you get it hooked up. @@ventrac

    Great explanation. I did turn the tractor off and bump the controls to relieve the pressure before disconnecting, but 97 degrees in Florida took it’s toll I guess. Thanks for the information!

    This was a great tip. I have had this happen many times. U usually wrap a rag around the end of the hose And press it down on a block of wood. Going to unhook it the way you showed for now on.

    This can happen to any hydraulic system. If the pressure is not extremely high, we usually relieved it by pushing the hose end on a hard surface.

    Good to Know. If it's going to happen it will happen to me.. Here's a topic, I was talking to service the other day about a unrelated problem and I was talking about towing my 4500 to the barn. The service guy said, Uh you did put it in neutral didn't you? I did, and we laughed, but he said it is not uncommon for people to destroy their hydraulics by not putting the tractor in neutral before towing or pulling it.. So Neutral and Brake off before towing.. lol

    Great content Aaron. Is there private financing available on Ventrac? I see a lot of commercial financing information for small business but I'm wondering about just homeowners.

      you can get the imfo from kubota dealers if they have them

    • @ventrac
      @ventrac  5 років тому

      Good question, Alex. Financing is usually available for individual purchasers. If you find a Ventrac dealer, they should be able to walk you through the process of getting financed. We actually have an awesome program through one of our financing partners that is available for 2019. If approved, a customer can purchase a Ventrac package any time through this year and delay any payments until the beginning of 2020.

    Hey, these quick attach fittings are about $125.00 each or $250 per line X 2 that's $500.00 per machine. It is not often that all four start leaking but they could. How about a video on how to replace the seal or "O" ring that causes the leak. This O ring may cost $.20 plus some repair time vs $125 or $250 plus the down time and trip to the dealer. Otherwise, just strike a match & walk away?

    Is pressure a problem with flat face couplers ?

    • @ventrac
      @ventrac  3 роки тому

      It depends.... If they're true connect-under-pressure fittings, then not usually.

    I am such a noob, struggling for 1/2 hour trying to couple the hydraulic lines on my JD tractor and backhoe. All I did was to "relieve" pressure by moving the backhoe controls until everything relaxed.

    I just tap the plunger against a solid part of the implement and that does the trick for me, you could use a hammer or a mallet too.

    just bump the end of the ball and let the pressure off that way with something either a hammer excetera don't worry about messes up you want

    • @ventrac
      @ventrac  3 роки тому

      That works too! In a pinch with no tools around, this is the go-to method. it just usually spills a squirt of oil on whatever hits it and you have to be careful not to mushroom the tip of the fitting over time.
