- I build a replica of a destroyed French home from foam, strip styrene, and 3d printed elements.

Really great work👌🏻 What did you mean when you said 3d printed? Filament or a resin printer with liquid resin? What is more common in scale modeling and printing such fine detailed parts like windows, roof tiles,…, a resin printer or a filament printer?
Resin 100% better for scale models. much less prep work. but considerably more toxic to work with.
Fantastic job and being able to print some great pieces, some questions about the size you used for the bottom of the house and for the roof the plastic bars that are 0.5, thanks.

I did shorten the building compared to the original to better fit the diorama. The base of the building is 66 mm. by 155 mm. The roof slats are 1 x 4 mm. styrenestrips.

How do you make sure things are in scale with 1/35 ?
I calculate things I know like doors and windows, or I measure the kit I'm working off of. But at the end of the day it's half math half art.
What software do you use to create the three d printer stuff ?
Tinkercad and soildworks.
I can not afford a resin printer but is there any place that does it for a fee ?
You could see if there's a local Makerspace that might have one in your community. Maybe a local high school as well.

That's not a bad idea
No fair using your 3D printer. Few of us have those. I learned from your scratch building work, but...
The printers are mostly just faster, especially for UA-cam. Almost everything that I design can be scratch built by hand. The biggest benefit of the printers is duplication. Also the printers have come down in price considerably and some maker spaces will let you use them to print.
