Thank you for appreciating the comments Troy. Personally, I find it much more informative when there are criticisms to pair with the positives. If everything is just positive, a review is more of a sales pitch than a review
I just tried this racquet (demo). I love the colors! I can put different colored strings in there. It felt great, I had good spin and power, served well with it….i think it’s good stock but I added a little bit of weight to the head (not much I’m getting older so weight is issue) . I think it felt good but I used to prefer stiff racquets because I could feel the ball and had better idea where it is going.
I think the cosmetic is growing on me. I noticed that from a distance, like watching someone hit across the court, you don't really pick up on the blue color, so it mostly looks black and red, kind of like VCORE SV but not glossy. -Troy, TW
@tenniswarehouse Thanks for the review. I am currently using the Babolat Pure Strike VS. Do you think you could compare between the VCore 95 in terms of power, control, spin, and feel? Thanks again!
@tenniswarehouse, in the review, both Chris and DTL suggested weighing this stick up. I’ve recently tried the following: Head leather grip, Tourna power strips(3.62 g each) at 10&2, Head Lynx Tour 1.25mm at 52lbs. The result is as follows:static weight 347g, BP 32.4 and swing weight 340. It delivers a heavy ball but not sustainable over a 3-set match. Any thoughts on how I could drop that swing weight and but still deliver an equally heavy ball? Been reading on the TW forums that weight at 12 seems to work for some. Would be good to get suggestions from yourselves on what could work 🤞
I have been playing with the VCORE 95 quite a lot lately. I think for you it might come down to experimenting with the weight placement. You could try possibly removing the weight at 10&2 and maybe just go with one power strip at 12. Or possibly shift some of that weight down a bit lower. I have one of my racquets with the weight at 3&9, but also shifted some of the weight a bit lower, like 4&8 or 5&7. I figured by shifting the weight a bit it could make it feel slightly more maneuverable but also I felt like there were times on volleys or what not, if I made contact slightly lower in the hoop it felt a bit unstable or a bit dead; so figured some added weight down there might help with that. You could also shift some of the weight down closer to 3&9 and maybe some of it in the throat or yoke. I guess it comes down to experimenting a bit with the weight, I am still messing around with weight placement on the VCORE 95. Also when I use our TW Tungsten tape, when I take it off and re-apply it often times I will use some double sided tape to refresh the adhesive. Hope that helps, Troy TW
@@tenniswarehouse , thanks Troy, that’s great advice! I taken the power strips off and I’ve tried 2 grams at 12 today but felt it messed with my timing so have taken that off. I have also tried the power strips at 3 & 9 but it felt too heavy in the head. I did also try 4 grams split over 10&2, which is something I could get used to. I’m possibly going to start from scratch with the stock grip and lower the tension around 46lbs and go from there. Failing that, I may simply have to accept it’s not going to work and continue playing with my customised 2021 VC95’s which I absolutely love 👍
Yeah, I can definitely understand where you are coming from, with some of experimenting. Initially I tried a leather grip and that additional weight combined with the weight I placed in the head just felt too cumbersome. I now have one with a synthetic grip, and I am gradually adding weight to the hoop to see if I can find the right maneuverability to stability/plow through ratio. That said, I took a few down on the court today and hit with my Percept 97H (which I play stock) and the SW is close to 331 or so, and I that felt great on court today haha. So a never ending struggle, but I guess even Marcos Giron struggled a bit with his VCORE 95 (gen 5) and ended up with a Percept 97H...Troy, TW
Also, Chris is out of the office for the week, but I know initially he was liking the VCORE 95 quite a lot in stock form, but I think maybe he would add just a bit of weight for the swingweight. But then I recall the when the VCORE 98 Tour came out he was really digging that one, and liked and played great with it in stock form. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse , thanks Troy. Yep, tried the VCore Tour 98 and was quite enamoured with it. With a leather grip it helped to make it more HL. It’s just a shame its not a 16x20 like the 95, that would have made it perfect and switchable for me 😉
@prophetmargin7497, I am. However, we have been testing a bunch of stuff over the past few weeks/months that I don't get as much dedicated time with the RF97...I do bounce to the Prince ATS Tour 98 a bit as well (added a little weight at 10 & 2) -- actually have probably hit that one a bit more as of late because we are playtesting so many 98 square inch frames that are more similar to that one. At this point, since I'm not competing, it's easy to keep it as my go-to and every time I hit with it I am quickly reminded why I love it so much! :) But, never say never...I definitely could see myself switching out of it one of these days...just not today! Michelle, TW
@@tenniswarehouse I know how you feel, I still use my old Pure Drive PD+ (2nd gen) which I believe is the model Andy Roddick actually used, and I've leaded it up at 3 and 9 as well as at the top of the handle. It weighs just under 13 ounces now and plays like a dream, with tremendous power and stability. The bad thing is, they don't sell Babolat lead tape anymore and I was wondering if you know a good alternative for leading up rackets?
@prophetmargin7497, I definitely have that same one in my bag as well! So yes, I know what you mean too :) While I know the industry is moving away from lead, I still prefer it to tungsten (tungsten feels a bit bulky to me, but we have TW tungsten strips if you havent tried it). I know Tourna also still has some lead. I also got a sample of some copper tape (can't remember the company) and that has been easy to use as well. Hope that helps! Michelle, TW
How does it compare with Prince Phantom 93p 14x18? Stability? Feel? Control? Power? Spin? Serve and volley? Best choice for 1HBH with flat shots ? I have the impression that the Prince Phantom 93p 14x18 is elongated (it's not) because it pulls on the forearm, which is unpleasant and tiring. I don't feel this way with the Prince Phantom 100p 16x18 or the Volkl PB 10 Mid.
I would give the edge in terms of control and feel to the Phantom 93P 14x18. Both are very spin friendly, I might give the higher launch angle slightly to the 93P 14x18, but maybe just a bit easier access to spin to the VCORE 95 2023 overall, very forgiving headsize/shape, plays more like a 98 in that sense. Power definitely goes to the VCORE 95 2023, and both can work well for serve and volley, more control, feel, stability with the 93P but a bit easier power and forgiveness with the VCORE 95, and easier serve power with the VCORE 95 as well. Troy, TW
How does Mark play with that awkward style of swing? Leaning in and hitting with bent arms and ball close to the body.Kudos to him for pulling it off but weird groundstrokes.
Troy: All 98 or 100 in frames are very similar…This 95 is different, and it is piquing my interest. Many players with one -handers are showing this 95 a lot of love… I’m a senior 4.0 singles player… old school… one-hander , a variety of shots and spins… a lot of flat and touch…This racquet might be good for my BH, but can it do the rest? Also, all of my racquets are strung with VS 16 gut in mains at 55;rpm Blast 17 in crosses at 52…. Would this work in a 95? Or should I make an adjustment… ?…
This 95 is a really nice racquet, and of the playtesters, Chris, Mark, and I reallt like how it feels and plays. When you ask "can it do the rest", well I would say that as far as control, precision, and spin it it really delivers. The string spacing is noticeably different from previous generations of the VCORE 95, being more openly spaced apart, it makes for easy spin, and I didn't seem sacrifice the control or feel. There isn't necessarily a ton of free power, but pretty decent for a 95, and for those that seek more plow through power it could be worth adding a bit of weight to the hoop. I haven't tried a hybrid in this 2023 VCORE 95, but I would think that it would play pretty well. Troy, TW
Sure, it could definitely be worth trying a lower tension. We settled on 52 as some of our testers like a bit higher tensions, and some a bit lower, so sort of like a middle ground for the group. But I would likely go with a tension around 47 or 48 if I were stringing with one of my favorite polys. Troy, TW
Does this racquet feel nice for one-handed backhand players? I'm thinking of upgrading from my pure aero 2016 and was wondering if this would be something that would fit me. I like to hit topspin backhand. Also, what other racquets would you recommend for one handed players? I'm a topspin kinda player for both forehand and backhand. I sometimes will rip a flat backhand sometimes.
This is one of the best one-handed backhand racquets. Key specs for that are thin beam, small head size, and not too high of twist weight. Other great options are Head Extreme Tour, Angell TC95/97, ProKennex Black Ace Pro, Pro Staff 97, Prince Phantom 93/97, and Head Prestige Tour.
@@taehyungkim1657 This is obviously a few months late so I'm sure you've reached a conclusion by now. I own the pro 97 and demo'd the ezone. they really don't compare to the vcore. Only other racket I've tried with the same sort of divine feel on the one hander is the Prince Phantom 93 18x20
@@taehyungkim1657 Read back my comment and realised it wasn't very clear. The Vcore 95 is my favourite of the three. I decided to buy one yesterday. It has the best one handed backhand out of yonex frames imo. Very good on volleys and serves. Addictive launch angle on forehands that just magically drop down into the court. Only issue is that it does lack a bit of feel, meaning you don't have a perfect idea of what happened on contact and the slice is a bit iffy. But I'll see how it develops. All 3 are brilliant. But I'd argue against the Vcore pro 97. I've owned it for a long time, and as nice as it is. It's really hard to get any sort of power out of it. At a certain point it doesn't matter how hard you swing, it just eats up the power. Ezone 98 was stellar, however for whatever reason I couldn't get any sort of consistency during match play with it.
The main skips are 7T, 9T (T is for Throat or bottom of the head), and 8H (H is for Head or top of hoop). Tie off knots for the mains is the 7th main, or 8th grommet from center, on both sides. Tie off the bottom cross at the 9th grommet over from the center, or on the second cross from bottom. The top cross tie off, I believe is on the 10th or 11th grommet from center, at top of hoop, depending on the space you have to tie off; I believe that Yonex prefers that top cross tie off to be on another cross string, not a main. Troy, TW
How would polytour strike 16L black do in this racket strung at 48 pounds? Also, how about hyper g 16L at 48 pounds? I currently use this racket strung with rpm blast 16 in the mains at 52 and excel 16 in the crosses at 54. That worked well in my ezone 98, but it plays pretty bad for me in this racket for some reason. The demo I used with multis actually played much better than that.
Both of those polys should play pretty well in this racquet, however if we had to pick one most of us would choose Solinco Hyper-G; we enjoy the feel of that string and the added benefit of the bite and spin from its shaped profile. Troy, TW
Why do you present strung weight and unstrung balance? With what string? What grip? With or without overgrip? You catch my drift and I have no intention of being rude, just asking if there's any particular reason for this. How is Yonex quality control nowadays? Still top notch? I'm not a US resident which makes me unable to order from you, I guess?, but can I pick up three frames with no issues in terms of specs? Does tennis warehouse Europe do international shipping?
For the intro of this video we list the specs for weight and balance both strung and unstrung. For the strung specs, we try to keep it consistent by measuring with a 1.25mm poly, and the reason for the strung specs is to give the player the idea of what general spec will be when hitting with the racquet on the court. We have found that Yonex QC is still pretty good, that said, the one spec that seems hard for most brands to minimize the variance, is the swingweight. However, most brands do not list a swingweight on the frame, so you can't really hold them to a spec they don't claim or list. Troy, TW
Can you compare and contrast this with the ezone. Which is more controlled and has better feel? Which is more arm friendly. And better overall in terms of serve groundstrokes volleys and maneuverable
Personally, I find the EZONE to be a bit more powerful, more stable and is definitely a bit firmer than the VCORE 95. It really comes down to personal preference and which specific model you are looking at but the EZONE 100 will be easier to swing from all areas of the court and will be less demanding than the VCORE 95. Both are great racquets but the VCORE 95 will offer more feel, targeting and control. Best, Michelle, TW
I have a quick question. What would provide more spin? RPM blast 16 in the mains and xcel 16 in the crosses or vice versa? I always thought the poly in the mains would provide more spin, but I’ve been hearing different opinions.
I would probably give the slight edge to the RPM in the mains, with a string like Xcel in the crosses. The only time I prefer the softer, more powerful string in the mains in terms of spin, is when it is a natural gut. When it comes to a multi or a synthetic gut, we tend to prefer the poly in the mains for a bit more bite and a bit more control. Troy, TW
I’m testing out strings in this racket and I currently use hyper g 16L at 48 pounds. For luxilon alu power blue, would 48 pounds as well work for the comparison?
To get a good comparison of the strings, sometimes it is good to keep the tension the same so that you are eliminating as many factors as possible. That said, from what I recall about the ALU Power in the light blue color (the light blue color that has been on the market for many years) is that it is a bit softer, and ALU tends to drop tension relatively quick, so maybe go up a pound or two. Troy, TW
It is a nice racket, but I have one problem with it: plow through for returns. Where should I put lead to address that problem? I have a fairly flat shots though.
For plow through, usually adding the weight at the tip (12 o'clock) is the easiest or most efficient spot, as it gives you the biggest swingweight increase for a given amount of weight. If you feel there is a need for an increase in torsional stability (twistweight), then you would want to add weight on the widest part of the hoop from the center mains, which is usually like the 3 and 9 o'clock. Some also like to place it at the top corners, around 2 and 10 o'clock so somewhat in between the two, in between maximizing swingweight and maximizing twistweight. Troy, TW
What do you think would work better in this racket, hyper g 16L, confidential 16L, or tour bite 16L? I love how hyper g feels in it, but haven't tried the others yet. Also, would using the poly as a main and luxilon natural gut as a cross work well in all 3 of those polys?
I tend to prefer Hyper-G of the three, as far as feel and stiffness, however that is personal preference. I tend to find Tour Bite to have a nice crisp feel and maybe a bit more energy return, although still primarily control as it is a poly. For confidential, it feels slightly more controlled and a bit lower in energy return and very consistent over time. Luxilon Gut in the crosses will add a lot of comfort, feel, and provides a lot of power compared to full poly (although Luxilon Gut is more controlled compared to VS), so I think it comes down to your preference in feel and will likely take some experimenting to find what works for you. That said, with the string spacing being pretty open on this 2023 VCORE 95, I tend to prefer full poly, but the added power is nice with the gut in a hybrid, although that can get a bit pricey to maintain. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse I normally string the poly at 48 pounds. Should I have the gut be slightly tighter like I would with a multi? Do you think 48/50 would be good with the poly in mains and gut in crosses? Also, would I be sacrificing spin by using a poly?
I would likely go with a tension around 50/52 on the hybrid with gut in the crosses. Check out this video for reference, not the same strings but similar concept: ua-cam.com/video/lln--qxGobs/v-deo.html. Troy, TW
I currently play with the 2020 ezone 98 in stock form, strung with RPM blast 16 in the mains at 52 pounds and Xcel 16 in the crosses at 54 pounds. I’m thinking of switching to this racket since it feels so good on my one handed backhand and I get more topspin with this racket too. Do you think my current string setup would work well on this racket or should I change my string setup?
I think it would definitely be worth trying, since you are used to that string setup and that will really give you a way to feel the differences in the racquets; less variables and it will make it easier to decide how you might want to adjust from there. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse would you recommend doing anything to customize the vcore 95? Should I add a leather grip and add weight back into the head to keep the balance the same or do you think that would make it too heavy? I’ve never customized a racket before, but I’ve been thinking about doing it. Btw, I would of course have somehow who knows how to do this stuff help me do it.
Hey Troy, I'm planning on stringing my 95 with polytour pro. I usually use the yellow color but I was wondering if the blue color has more control or if it plays the same. Thanks!
I haven't had a ton of experience with the blue color of Poly Tour Pro. I would like to say it was a bit less energy return compared to the Yellow, but then again the demo that I tried it in, it may have just been in there for a while and sort of bagged out, so to be honest hard to say. Usually in general, we find the darker colors to play a little deader or less lively, so maybe even the black colored Poly Tour Pro could be worth a try. Troy, TW
I love my Pro Staff 97 but it’s a difficult racquet to play with, very small sweet spot so you need to hit every shot correctly. Would this racquet give me the feel and precision of my Pro Staff and be a bit easier for me?
@crsantin, I wouldn't say this would necessarily be easier than a Pro Staff 97 as you would be going down in headsize with an extra cross string -- what about the VCORE 98 instead? That would offer a little more ease to swing with with access to spin and power and control AND great feel! Michelle, TW
If customized weight wise, any chance this could behave like the stock the Head Prestige tour 95 which Michelle liked hitting with during the playtest 2 years ago? Head shape and beam width not quite ideal on this one?
I think adding head weight, or swingweight could help get the plow through and stability up towards the Prestige Tour 95 level. That said, the head shape is quite different, and the feel is also a bit more soft and slightly more muted to that of the Prestige Tour 95; feeling a bit more firm and has more of that classic box beam feel. Troy, TW
Pretty close in those terms. That said, the ball comes off the string-bed with easier lift or higher launch angle with this 2023, when comparing the two with the same string/tension. The string spacing is more open for this update. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse Thank you Michelle. I see no demos for poly strings. Are those going to be available for the 95 demos? Also, is there any update on the pure aero 98?
We will get the poly demos up as soon as we can (or back in stock) as well as the Pure Aero 98! The date on the Pure Aero hasn't been solidified just quite yet but stay tuned! Michelle, TW
Feel wise not much different than the VCORE 98, but in a slightly more controlled, or precise package. Compared to the PS97 v13 I find this VCORE 95 a bit easier for spin, and a little more feel for the ball, although feel is a subjective thing. The EZONE 98 provides a bit easier power, and feels slightly more muted in response, compared to the VCORE 95. Troy, TW
The VCORE 100 or 98 would be closer comparisons to the Pure Aero 2019. This one is pretty spin friendly for a 95, and also has ~10 grams more weight, so it feels a bit more solid. However, it is a more control oriented racquet and precision from the 95 headsize, but not as easy to access power and spin as the Pure Aero 2019 (also Aero 2019 is more maneuverable). Troy, TW
I'm trying to switch away from the yonex vcore pro 97 310 2017/2019 and have found the ezone 98 and vcore 98 too powerful. Would the vcore 95 be less forgiving than my old vcore 97 pro, or how would they play comparatively? Thanks so much!
As someone who moved from the Vcore 95 to the Vcore 97 pro, I woud say that the 97 pro is just a tad easier to wield with slightly less control. It gives me more access to spin and angles but it gives me less control when handling heavier balls. I think the main difference comes from a lower swingweight on the 97 Pro, but I do not know if that is a fact. The 97 Pro for me feels to have a lower swingweight at least. Edit: I see you are playing with lead in the 97 Pro.. in that case I think the 95 may be a good fit for you.
I think this new 2023 version could be worth a try, specifically becuase it feels a bit softer, the wide head shape makes it a bit more forgiving, and the new string spacing makes it very spin friendly for a 95; easy launch angle. The previous 3 iterations (SV 2017, 2019, 2021) all were a bit more difficult to generate spin and launch angle was a bit lower, having a bit tighter spacing on the 16x20 pattern. Maneuverability is pretty easy with this update as well, similar to the previous 2021 version. Troy, TW
@@tenniswithandy I play college (university) tennis in the UK so play competitively every week. I've had these rackets for years and they are starting to break and it's getting increasingly hard to find grommet strips etc. I've tried the new vcore pro 97, vcore 98, blades, pure areo Vs and others. I'm trying to find a racket that keeps the same thin beam/whippy feel but ideally slightly larger head or more forgiving. Weird combo I know! I play with alot of topspin and have a one handed backhand
@@tenniswarehouse thank you Troy. I am also concerned that the VDM makes it difficult to feel to feel the ball, as I now use the 2018 vcore 95, without vdm. Do you think the vdm is a big turn off as far as feel goes
Which 100P, Phantom or Tour? I would say maybe the closest Prince would be the ATS Textreme Tour 95 or 98, but the string spacing on this VCORE 95 and the head shape makes it a bit more spin friendly. Troy, TW
I would say the most noticeable changes are a slightly softer feel with this 2023 version, and also easier bite on the ball and higher launch angle, from a more spaced apart string bed. Troy, TW
Stiffness wise it is somewhat close, that said it won't have as much grip or bite on the ball since Poly Tour Strike has a smooth/round profile. Troy, TW
The 98 is a little more forgiving, I would say slightly easier to maneuver, a bit easier power and spin. The 95 is a bit more solid, and gives a bit more precision (spin friendly for a 95 but not as much as the 98). I have been hitting a lot lately with both the 95 weighted up and the 98 Tour. Troy, TW
@@gnsdance2955 If you don't mind playing with a 95, we really like the added precision and variety it allows for. Although the 98 will give easier power and maneuverability. The EZONE 98 is a little less spin friendly compared to the VCORE 98, but it is a little more versatile when it comes to slice and volleys. Troy, TW
I would say slightly closer to the 16x19 CX 200 Tour in terms of spin, as this 2023 VCORE 95 is pretty open, or spaced apart for a 16x20, and the CX 200 Tour 16x19 is fairly tight in center of the string bed. Both are pretty forgiving due to the head shape, but I would say that there is a bit easier access to power, and spin with the this VCORE 95 2023, and slightly more control and feel with the CX 200 Tour 16x19. The CX 200 Tour 18x20 will offer even a bit more control and feel, but also yields a lower launch angle, or trajectory on groundstrokes. Troy, TW
This one swings with easier maneuverability, is a bit more precise, and also feels slightly softer, or a bit more comfort. The EZONE 98 Tour packs a bit heftier feel, more plow through on the ball, and a bit easier power. Both offer fairly easy spin, but I would give the edge to this new version of the 95, with a more openly spaced string bed. Troy, TW
This is a fun one, as it has good control and feel but with a bit easier power and spin compared to the VCORE Pro 97 (2021). That said, the VCORE Pro 97 has slightly more control and feel (although feel is somewhat subjective). Troy, TW
@tenniswarehouse thanks Troy for the insight. I am indecisive between the two as people reported v95 2023's big top shape to cause issue with the sweet spot. Problem is, I can't find demo where I live. Meanwhile, vcp97 2021 has that power ceiling.
@mattimag3634, They don't offer a pre-sale so they are not YET available in Europe, but once they are, that link should work for you! Apologies about that. Michelle, TW
First: the secon Guy, dont know the Name (wierd forhand) talking about how the Racket fits him and barely his Ball arive @ the T-Line. He needs a much more powerfull Racket Second: everyone saying tue reacket plays "bigger" than 95. Not Just Warehouse everyone. Same for 98er. So whats the Point of small Rackets when they Play bigger all the time ?
Maneuverability is the point of a smaller headsize, especially if using a one handed backhand. So having a maneuverable frame that still has good forgiveness is a win-win for those of us with a OHBH.
Uh oh, it appears that like the previous version there is zero feel on this new frame, this was skirted round by the play testers as it is definitely the biggest problem with this frame..
Thank you for appreciating the comments Troy. Personally, I find it much more informative when there are criticisms to pair with the positives. If everything is just positive, a review is more of a sales pitch than a review
I own last gen 95 , ended preferring flex of HD, so I'm interested to try this new softer version
I find my HD to swing a little sluggish and not be able to push the ball deep enough on defense
I actually love the cosmetic 😁, hope to try it out soon. Thanks for the review!
I have both of these rackets. The vcore 95 is much more solice then the PS VS.
I’m planning to buy this racket.
Would Yonex Fire be a good string for this racket?
How does this racket compare with the Extreme Tour?
Crazy how well Michell plays with racquets she doesn’t vibe with. The way she’s hitting you think she loved it and used the racquet for years.
I am sure she is a real good player and most likely better than me. But, these are highlights lol
It’s just a shame its not a 16x20 like the 95, that would have made it perfect and switchable for me 😉
Michelle, are you still using the Wilson Pro Staff RF97 Autograph as your main racquet? Do you think you'll ever switch to a newer model?
@prophetmargin7497,
I am.
@prophetmargin7497,
I definitely have that same one in my bag as well!

Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouseIt seems that the stability of the VCORE 95 2023 isn't as good as Prince Phantom 93P is that correct?
@@SimurghMyTube in my opinion, owning both these racquets, that the vcore will have more stability, especially if weighted up
How does Mark play with that awkward style of swing?
Troy, TW
balls without pressure, typical exercise balls? On a scale of 1-10 - how unforgiving is this racket for an intermediate player with ohbh?
Was wondering if you'd recommend a looser tension than the 52 lbs you played with? Wouldn't say 48 give you a little power boost you want?

@Joseph Duchene what about Yonex vcore pro 97 310g 2021 and the ezone 98 2022? I tried both, and thought it relatively felt nice on the one hander.
@@princemoofin578 so you liked the ezone and the pro more than the vcore?
Hi. Do you have the 2 piece stringing instructions for the new Yonex VCore 95?
The main skips are 7T, 9T (T is for Throat or bottom of the head), and 8H (H is for Head or top of hoop). Tie off knots for the mains is the 7th main, or 8th grommet from center, on both sides. Tie off the bottom cross at the 9th grommet over from the center, or on the second cross from bottom. The top cross tie off, I believe is on the 10th or 11th grommet from center, at top of hoop, depending on the space you have to tie off; I believe that Yonex prefers that top cross tie off to be on another cross string, not a main. Troy, TW
I am using Legna 98. Which do you recommend, Vcore 95 or Vcore 98?
Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse Thank you very much for your reply Troy! Apparently I wasn't paying attention to the specs, but now I know!
Do these new ones feel similar to the old 95d?
Can you compare and contrast this with the ezone. Which is more controlled and has better feel? Which is more arm friendly. And better overall in terms of serve groundstrokes volleys and maneuverable
Personally, I find the EZONE to be a bit more powerful, more stable and is definitely a bit firmer than the VCORE 95. It really comes down to personal preference and which specific model you are looking at but the EZONE 100 will be easier to swing from all areas of the court and will be less demanding than the VCORE 95. Both are great racquets but the VCORE 95 will offer more feel, targeting and control.
Best,
Michelle, TW
Troy, TW
Thank you!
Check out this video for reference, not the same strings but similar concept:

I currently play with the 2020 ezone 98 in stock form, strung with RPM blast 16 in the mains at 52 pounds and Xcel 16 in the crosses at 54 pounds. I’m thinking of switching to this racket since it feels so good on my one handed backhand and I get more topspin with this racket too. Do you think my current string setup would work well on this racket or should I change my string setup?
I think it would definitely be worth trying, since you are used to that string setup and that will really give you a way to feel the differences in the racquets; less variables and it will make it easier to decide how you might want to adjust from there. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse okay, thank you!
Thanks!
I've been using the PolyTour Pro in yellow for a while but just tried out the Strike and love it in this racket.
Troy, TW
Compared to Prince ATS Tour 95?
I love my Pro Staff 97 but it’s a difficult racquet to play with, very small sweet spot so you need to hit every shot correctly. Would this racquet give me the feel and precision of my Pro Staff and be a bit easier for me?
@crsantin,
I wouldn't say this would necessarily be easier than a Pro Staff 97 as you would be going down in headsize with an extra cross string -- what about the VCORE 98 instead? That would offer a little more ease to swing with with access to spin and power and control AND great feel!
Michelle, TW
Hai TW, How do this racquet compare to Yonex Vcore SV? Thanks.
Troy, TW
How is it in terms of control and precision compared to previous models?
Pretty close in those terms. That said, the ball comes off the string-bed with easier lift or higher launch angle with this 2023, when comparing the two with the same string/tension. The string spacing is more open for this update. Troy, TW

How did this racket compare to the new vcore 98, pro staff 97 v13, and the ezone 98?
Feel wise not much different than the VCORE 98, but in a slightly more controlled, or precise package. Compared to the PS97 v13 I find this VCORE 95 a bit easier for spin, and a little more feel for the ball, although feel is a subjective thing. The EZONE 98 provides a bit easier power, and feels slightly more muted in response, compared to the VCORE 95. Troy, TW
How is this compared to the Pure Aero 2019
Currently play with 4g of lead at 3 and 9
The key question is why are you trying to switch from your current racquet
Troy, TW

What is better 98 or 95
The 98 is a little more forgiving, I would say slightly easier to maneuver, a bit easier power and spin. what do you think comparing the new Vcore 95 2023 vs Dunlop cx 200 tour in both 18x20 and 16x19?
Troy, TW

That 95 is still 95. You can move it like a 95sqt, but get a closer sweet spot to that of a 98.
Maneuverability is the point of a smaller headsize, especially if using a one handed backhand. So having a maneuverable frame that still has good forgiveness is a win-win for those of us with a OHBH.
