Do you have a link for the return style sending unit you put in your tank ? did you take the tank down for that or you did it while It was under the car ?
I’m kinda scared to do this but this video is making it a little easier for me. Will this work for g body el cos the same as a body’s? How long with all the parts here should I expect to get it done if I work on it everyday? Thank you
I thinknits actually easier on G-bodies. It will be similar. With all the parts and a shop you shouldnt have any more than a week max. Thats taking into account broken bolts and wiring problems haha
So does the factory intake fuel pump work great with the inline electric fuel pump for the ls swap also do you have a link for the part number of the electric pump
Do you mean the factory intake fuel pump for the small block? If so then no, that is all scrapped. The electric fuel pump is just a generic chinese 300lph inline pump
@@slicksloth_416 there is a factory return style fuel sending unit in the tank that is only for the gauge. About a foot from the tanknis my inline pump that runs offbof the stock LS pcm
Just pulled my 03 yukon 5.3 Not sure if it's flex? V something injectors. Which holes did u settle on the mounts?I'm planning on using the 4l60.i was told I wouldn't need to cut the tunnel. You probably dont need to cut the tunnel if you get it in there just right. I used the 2nd from the front holes on the bracket. The front holes mount the engine too far back. You might get away with the 3rd hole and not have to cut the tunnel. This rear axle came from a 68 or 69 el camino, same as chevelle. Its a full 2 inches wider so 1inch on each side. The swap is definitely worth it. AC needs a special bracket to put the compressor up high on the passenger side. Cruise control would be easier on a drive by wire system. Rad was put in the car over 10 years ago. Pretty sure its just a generic aluminum radiator for the el camino. Keeps it under 190 degrees
Oh yeah, we did a bunch of mods to it. Its only the stock shortblock. The vortec heads and long tubes went on in like 2014 when we put the 200r4 in it. Sorry if it was confusing.

What an awesome how to. Definitely gonna come in handy in the future
My pan sits on the cross.at the 2nd step. Used ebay adjustable adapters/stock mounts/a stack of washers to get the holes lined
Great informative video man. Almost step by step. Thank you for this.
Love the video. But can you tell me what part number for the fuel pump & the oil pan??
love your work mate!!!
Thank you brother
He's not working he's letting a computer do the hard work because he doesn't actually know what he's doing with the older stuff
I am doing this swap also. Thanks for all the info!
Awesome! Feel free to ask any questions if you have them
Maybe in need more washers.
Where'd u get your pitnan arm?needs to be PS arm from 66/67 right?
I got the identical motor mounts. From dingo. Supposedly supposed to be direct swap. Didn’t even come close to being right.
Weird. Mine were just some ebay ones and they worked pretty well
Awesome video bro🦾
I have a 66 El Camino I've been wanting to do this to has a 350 and a Power Glide now.

How did the Camaro pump pully work out?? im doing an 8.1 it my 66 Chevelle and trying to make as little issues as possible. Thanks
The pulley worked well. Had to space the pump out a bit to make the belt line up. An 8.1 would be crazy! Make a video when its done!
Don't do it I am sticking with the sbc in my 65 chevelle Malibu going to a 383 and a 4 speed
Not sure why but I want an El co for some reason
I want one of my own after swapping this one. I've been on the lookout. It would be a super cool parts runner
